Hey, I'm replacing Scott.
@Max, I would like an explanation of why you believe The1fif has a town read, I don't really see anything from him that would elicit such a read.
I can't really side in either the RVS or RQS as both of them work to get a game out of the beginning. Just most games use RVS. A lot of them end with a discussion of the merits of the RVS. Its all a matter of reviewing what reactions players give to these random questions or votes.
Lastly, when quoting can you add the name of the person you quote?, helps especially when you are just stealing small snippets.Welcome to the Network.-

Ummm...hi?
Considering we are four pages in, I think its reasonable to ask of you to form some opinion of players so far. Anything you notice so far?
@danakillsu:
Why is pressuring you for your reads not searching for scummy? As it were I find that you trying to diverge away from that point is suspicious, as it can be a scumtell, you might be avoiding the situation because its your partner under suspicion. Just because you might not see a scumtell in it doesn't mean others might not, and trying to just get away from it doesn't look good.danakillsu wrote:You guys might have some reason that only you know for drawing battle lines, but I don't see any of them. That's what I'm saying. Now let's stop discussing what I don't see as tells and start trying to actually find someone scummy.Welcome to the Network.-

Amazingly, pressuring you for your reasons why you are voting him is pressuring you for explaining your read on him. If you can't explain your reason for voting him, then your vote is ill-founded. Voting with no reason is scummy.danakillsu wrote: You've got to be kidding me. wdjat was NOT pressuring me for reads on other people, he was pressuring me for why I was voting for him. This looks like a bad excuse to continue exactly what I just said was pointless. I'm going to leave wdjat for now, though, because I'm really annoyed by JacobSavage's lack of involvement here.unvote vote:JacobSavage

Actually no. Post 115 was to clarify from the1fifi his overall standing on the wagon he was joining. If I had taken his preceding post without any other context, I would vote him on that alone, seeing as it looks like bandwagonning just for the hell of it, without any backup reason. Even taking it in context, it looks like he just saw Max make a case on you, said, "yea that'll do fine", and proceeded to join your wagon at an opportune time without adding any reasoning of his own.

What is this supposed to mean really? Your wording implies a guiltiness and escaping from judgement. Also considering yourself unlynchable is way overconfident. If you exhibit scummy tendencies then you will be lynched. This whole confidence that you can sneak by any lynch is horrible.Lowell wrote:@tate- no worries. people always go after me when they're scared and don't know what else to do. I wouldn't worry about it, though, I'm good at weaseling my way out. I'm de facto unlynchable.

Ok, at this moment, although I don't like the posting just "Elaborate" I find wdjat is being reasonable here. Along with Gayle.
Danakillsu's OMGUS on wdjat was terrible, and the1fifi's blatantly saying that he would OMGUS someone is just saying that you would be willing to put emotion over logic, which can clearly be anti-town. You shouldn't vote someone for just being annoying, ever. He may be annoying to you but I see a lot more coming from him than you. I just see you wagoning onto wdjat under the guise that he is annoying and you didn't even state anymore reasoning, you just say he's playing with smoke and mirrors. Which is also bs, as he is rightfully calling for you to explain your reasoning, and if you can't take the time to explain it then it might as well be said not exist.Welcome to the Network.-

What made you think that Lowell had an investigation? There was no night start, therefore there was no investigation to get results from. As JacoSavage pointed out, its impossible to confirm roles in this game. So while I don't think Lowell should be lynched today, his activity tomorrow should be monitored and lynch/left alone accordingly.
It doesn't look like a replacement for Kyle99 is coming. He's been scummy so far, and it fits with what I'm seen from him before, so

@The1fifi: What makes you think that Lowell will survive the night?
Agreed it was a horrible post, but this is a forgettable game for me.
JacobSavage's agreement vote doesn't look good at all. I personally am ok with lynching dana or kyle, if Lowell hadn't claimed cop he would be viable too, but we have to see what the next day brings before heading into that territory. As it is a tossup between Kyle and Dana in my mind, I felt that we might as well just save the mod extra trouble and get a lynch on a scummy player at the same time. There is no way we can no-lynch now, so I needed to pick a wagon. Without a replacement coming forth for Kyle, it'll be much easier to read dana in the next day, so dana stays.Welcome to the Network.-

So confused. It looked like dana was defending hewitt, but now its an attack?
Also this:
You are misrepresenting hewitt. Although he stated that lowell is never good for town, he didn't say that it made him a viable lynch all the time. He just said it made him a good candidate this time around as we don't have much else for leads. He, along with everyone else, adjusted for lowell's cop claim.hewitt wrote:I feel like you're forgetting this happened.Lowell wrote:I'm a cop.
I don't know about you but I don't vote to lynch claimed power roles on D1.Welcome to the Network.-

Things like this are why dana should be lynched.danakillsu wrote:
That he has no interest in this game so he can't help town. What exactly makes him[kyle] a better lynch than someone like hewitt?
I'm voting Kyle because his play before asking to be replaced wasn't all that great. Also to get the game moving. Really at this point we need to pick a suspect to lynch so we can move along and get something to work with instead of continuing to drag along.Welcome to the Network.-

There is the possibility of multiple cops, I think, reread the OP. Lowell surviving and there an alternative kill has too many unknown possibilities to confirm him as town, but I would still like results.danakillsu wrote:
? Don't know what this means...Right, I would go for Cops claiming with guility.
No claim if no guilty.
Is that alright with everyone else?

It means, if I am a cop I investigated Max last night, therefore have no information to give to the town today. I suggest everyone doing this. If you are not a cop, post:Wdjat wrote:3) kunkstar7: "If I am a cop, I investigated Max last night." What?
"If I am a cop, I investigated X last night", where X is any member of the game currently living or Max, as he was a possible investigation choice last night.
If you are a cop with a result post:
"If I am a cop, I investigated {{player}} last night", where {{player}} is your result.
This provides scum with no information as to possible cops but still allows any cops to provide their information, which will be confirmed on their death or by claiming at some point.
I agree with Lowell's stance, even though it does little to confirm him. Claiming the result at the end might be a suitable approach. But seeing as you are a claimed cop in the open, we need the results at some point before scum have the chance to kill you and decline us those results if you are really cop.Welcome to the Network.-

Also, I don't like this "If I am a cop I investigated X" plan. It potentially outs non-cops to the scum.
If everyone does it then the scum have no way of knowing who really is a cop. It also allows a cop to put out their results without trouble, and these results can be confirmed by their death. I want you to explain how it potentially outs non-cops. It was done in one of my other games, and worked fine.Welcome to the Network.-

What? One: My innocence has nothing to do with his innocence. Scum knows that besides his partner, everyone else is town, so its easy for them to claim cop and give innocent results. Two, a cop gives you an investigation yet you want to lynch a confirmed townie? I,being the target of the investigation, am inclined to believe Lowell.JacobSavage wrote:Right Good, now we lynch Kunk.

Better idea than wasting a confirmed townie, if we have another cop, have them investigate Lowell.Welcome to the Network.-

True. For technicalities sake: confirmed on cop's death. So basically, if Lowell is NK'ed and flips cop, then I'm confirmed. Although if I'm NK'ed that doesn't confirm Lowell.Gayle wrote:Anybody against lynching Jacob?
@kunk: You are not a confirmed townie.
In any case, JacobSavage calling for a lynch on me when it benefits the town much more to leave both me and Lowell alive and let the scum make the mistake of confirming us is horrible. My vote remains.Welcome to the Network.-

Except that's exactly what you are proposing when you said that I should be lynched to "confirm" Lowell. Really overall that's a poor defense considering that it's a natural action in any game where town is slow in finding scum.JacobSavage wrote:So in other words a lynch on me would not help town, as it will then take us down to only 4 to lynch and with 2 scum alive, thus scum could take an easy speed lynch with only two votes!Welcome to the Network.-

Regarding Lowell's cop claim, he will reveal his results, he just wants to see how people react to his target. Connections and the sort. It doesn't work if everyone already knows who he investigated.Welcome to the Network.-

@Town: Our scum is the extreme lurkers. Lynch them. Like Wdjat or hewitt. We have 2 mislynches left before LyLo. I think today would be a good day to weed out a lurker. I agree with Lowell on the cop claim. If we have a second cop please claim, and we'll have them cross investigate to confirm.Welcome to the Network.-

I would really like Lowell to do something with is slot to show some reason why he shouldn't be a target today.
Unfortunately I believed him as a cop, so I was hoping the his flip would either confirm me or kill scum.Azelf wrote:Kunkstar was doing some pretty suspicious buddying with Lowell Mark I back in the "HEY LOOK I'M A COP LOLOLOLOL" period, but he gets a few town points for some recent scumhunting. Wrong. The mod could just redo the dice roll for roles again, randomize nightresults. It's been done before if I recall correctly, in at least one of the really early newbie games where the mod flaked. The replacement mod made a note about it postgame. You know, trying to base assumptions off of out of game information is bad really, especially if its flawed. So any actually scumhunting based off of ingame posts to add?Welcome to the Network.-
