Oddly enough, manho is scummiest, so I'm voting manho.

I agree with most of this post, except that I kind of see why soras is being wagoned. I just don't agree with it, he seems like town to me, 'specially since he's partly being wagoned for something I also did.

And that is not participating in the signup thread. Why didn't I? Well, a thing or two:

It's annoying to be expected to participate in a lot of pregame stuff that you'll be judged on later. When I signed up, Spyrex PMed with with my alignment, I sat at the computer for a minute thinking about draft numbers, then responded with a PM. I never changed them, or gave them much thought. Because they don't need it, in my opinion.

If we could get everyone to participate in pregame conversation like that, it would be useful. But it's not gonna happen, simply for reasons like my own: I signed up for a game, and I plan to play it. But I don't plan to play a game

before

it starts.

I think massclaim is good, today, or tomorrow. We lock scum into their claims early, we direct PRs to form networks and work together, probably clearing some, and possibly indicting others. I like it.

I don't like Parama's attitude to this game, but I like his views.

I don't like the way that manho is playing this game, not-really-paying-attention. He doesn't make a ton of sense, and goes back on his word (IIRC).

Would someone like to give a quick explanation of why Prana is town, if it comes from the Signup thread?

Well yeah, but I still strongly suggest giving it a day or two to get the most out of the other roles, after all, scum using vig kills any nights prior to a claim are guarenteed to be caught out with it when they're made to claim anyway.

Town would be more inclined to hold back to use it when needed most.

This sentence confuses me. Do you mean that if a townie is a vig, then he won't kill unless he's sure? Because that's not the case.

I think that if we wait until tomorrow to massclaim, then we should either direct the vig, or we should instruct him not to kill at all.

And the logic is the wrong way round. If you think DGB is hyper-defending someone because she's scum with them, why would you vote the person she's defending rather than her? It's logically more sound (because scum can defend townies in a scummy way too) and while soras is a guranteed power role, dgb has claimed vanilla.

Fate, spell out your role info. The scum already know you are claiming some form of ability. There's no advantage to you soft claiming over hard claiming given it's so obvious. I wouldn't mind that. As I pointed out a few times, I think roles like Vig that are chosen high are scum. Like soras.

I picked UBU for a simple reason
nobody in their right mind would pick it in the first 3 and since I have no way of knowing if people above me picked vig, doc, JKer, cop or whatever else, safest (and in my opinion best) way to get a PR. I was vanilla in the first 2, didnt wanna risk being vanilla whe I'm in the effing top 5.

Also, Fate/DGB/Parama (I think) pointed it out already. With no redirecter alive, you can just direct my kills if you dont trust me and I'm sure to hit my mark. If I am scum and another scum picked a protective role, he wont block my targets since he doesnt want to have his buddy lynched. If I dont shoot who you tell me, I get lynched. The very worst that could happen is the jailer blocks me and we end with a mislynch (but no misshot)

Hell, if you really dont trust me have a weak doc or cop investigate me.

There is no protown benifit to lynch me. If I'm town its a mislynch, if I'm scum I'm caught and have to obey.

This is a game that gets swept up by the PRs(, I would know at this point). But nothing replaces good old scumhunting. So not scumhunting is scummy.

I felt that I was useful in a PYP game for once! I knew joining this one would be good. Third time's the charm.

1.) Did you like the game?

Definitely.

2.) Did you let the setup?

Yes. But to me most of the added roles don't change very much in the game (as opposed to PYP 1 and 2). I do like the idea of odd and even night vigs- it doesn't tip the game very much in one direction as the a regular vig might (i.e., in PYP 2). Also, I like the Fruit Vendor, purely because it's useless- receiving a pomegranate N1 made me smile, though I knew it didn't effect the game.

3.) What would you keep?

I dunno, I like the medley of roles, and I'd keep the Fruit Vendor just for laughs and giggles.

4.) What would you change?

Maybe having a weak doc and a cop is too much town power in that area, but I'm not sure, as there are a lot of good scum PRs too.

Definitely. Quite a few people found me scummy at the start of the game simply for not taking a part in all the discussion. When I join a game, I want to play a game, not worry that everyone is going to think that I'm scum because I didn't do something

Also, how would a converter work? (If a mafiate is converted, why would he not spill the scumteam? People would be suspicious at first, but once one person from his list was lynched, they would just follow it for the win.)
