Hmmm, well I'm looking at that post you said to read carefully. The first line:

Then anything I can kind of pick up on is some phrases that only certain people will know for sure, him not being one of them. I don't quite know how to phrase that without being blatant.

Ok, Soc. I've read the entire thread over and, yes, regarding post 69, I began to ponder over Ifrinn myself. I'm definitely thinking about placing my vote on him. He kind of rubs me the wrong way in thinking that we should decide on who grabs for an item based on whom we think is the most innocent.

Ponder the theory that if the scum decide to push a couple of their guys into grabbing the item, and let the town go for it, they will have atleast a 50% chance of nailing our guy with the item, assuming they didn't destroy it themselves. It appears to me, that he's trying to set up a plan to benefit himself and the rest of the scum.

So for that reason, I've decided to

If you ISO me, Amished, I gave my reason for voting Ifrinn. I'm not suspicious of Soc, plain and simple. It was Ifrinns post that just didn't rub me right. How am I supposed to elaborate more on that? I can't add much when I don't have anything to say while everyone bickers on what boomer bile is going to do, or what the bosses are.

I voted for Ifrinn because he wants to line people up to take an item, if the mafia wants to have their guys go for the item, and a couple of us survivors go for the item, the mafia is going to know whether or not they have it, and have their choices for a NK. There is a good chance that they'll hit the guy with item. I made it pretty clear I'm not down for the idea of lining people up for a specific item.

I just don't view Soc as being scummy, I don't see it in him right now.

With Amished, I took a look at his ISO, and ones that stuck out to me as actively scum hunting would be, 7, 11, and 14, just to name a few. I'm a little crossed on the subject, because obviously he could either be scumhunting, or just a good scum player.

I looked at post 36 in his ISO quite a few times, trying to understand it better. But he makes a good point, a vig would have most likely killed him.

Now, I didn't get the pistols or destroy them. I went for em, but I wasn't the lucky one. I think that perhaps the pistols might not be a vig, which kind of makes me think Amished just might be town.


I've got more ISOing to do, so I'll have a post on who I think is suspect tomorrow.

QFT. A fakeclaim that says "Hey this guy might be scum!" is a useless fakeclaim. Fakeclaims, if given, look exactly like real Town roles. That's the point.

- We have established that we cannot assume main cast claims are more likely to be Town than scum, because that would be a broken setup. Therefore any scumhunting based on nameclaims is flawed logic. Therefore

- We have seen some evidence (Keith the JOAT) to suggest that PRs will match the characters from a flavour perspective. Therefore it is possible that other PRs will have roles which reflect their powers, which would be revealed in a nameclaim. Therefore

Seriously, with the flavour knowledge I have, scum-me would be jumping at the chance of a nameclaim. I am telling you now, if we nameclaim I could probably peg over half of any remaining PRs we have in the game. So could anyone with the same flavour knowledge as me.
At this point, anyone who claimed flavour knowledge and yet is still in favour of a nameclaim is very likely scum IMO. I will be checking this after I post.

This nameclaim business is Charlie's brainchild, so I can sort-of understand why he's so reluctant to let go of it. But we've repeatedly demonstrated that it's not good for Town. Scum are the only people who would be getting behind this right now, because they are the only ones who stand to gain from it.

@Amished: I don't see the mods giving away set-up information like that to just anybody who asks.

Well then it's very easy to test, isn't it. PM the mod yourself asking for the same information, and see what they tell you. If we catch Amished with extra information Town is not allowed, we have caught scum.
Everyone should do this, and report back in-thread what the mod told them.

I'm pretty well aware of L4D, and the cast of characters, and the special infected.

There is only so many believable roles, I've contemplated the idea of a nameclaim since day one, and have thought personally it's a good idea.

How many characters are there really? I think anybody who is really nervous about the idea has something to hide, and they're nervous about what they're going to have to make up.

Myself on the otherhand, I have nothing to worry about. It seems like you have something to worry about.

I know all the characters in the game, fakeclaims aren't going to help. The way I see it, there's 12 regular characters that we know we're associated with in terms of which game they came from. Whether it's L4D 1 or 2, and I'd believe 2 other side characters.

Now we know the given survivors from the first game and second, and another group I'm not going to divulge in at this moment, and two secondary cast members. Just like JMJs claim.

Unless the mod decided to make Coach a scummer and Zoey a survivor (which is just ridiculous), then we should be able to vouch for each other and find the scum.

There is nothing OMGUS about my vote on you, as I feel you've divulged so much into the speculation that a name claim can't confirm a player, you are just trying to prevent said claiming to try and save yourself.

I personally believe a name claim can help us.
