Iecerint wrote:He burned 1 vote. Since everyone burned 1 vote, that isn't enough to judge his or anyone else's alignment by end-phase CP.

To make burning useful, Cruc (and ONLY Cruc) needs to expend a disproportionate amount of CP. That's why pops asked him to vote him 9 times.

In other words, Cruc hasn't burned yet and also hasn't really indicated why or whether he thinks someone else is a better a priori burn target. That's what we're waiting on. Cruc should do one of those things. Also, any players who think Cruc is not a good burn target should speak up.
Well Cruc is under some pressure to burn votes, and he seems to be avoiding burning votes, so I think he is the best candidate. He only burned 1 vote and that won't help us figure out who scum is. So the fact that he is absent makes it seem like he is avoiding burning and praying that someone lynches fifi or burn votes in the mean time.

well technically since NO ONE LISTENS TO WHAT THEY NEED TO BE DOING no one revoted their burn-investigation target, so Cruciare has a leg to stand on if he insists someone else should burn.

Yall, please express burn investigation targets clearly.

To make it clear, who ever burns should vote 8 times, not 9. 9 is the total past the standard vote per player.

You already told Cruc to burn 9 (8 more). I thought you had made an executive decision, and I thought your choice was fine, so I didn't complain. I encouraged others to, though.

I still think any of the lower-activity targets would be good burn targets. Cruc looks particularly good.

From the perspective of fifiscum, I think Alma would be a good burn target. Namely, he was uncharacteristically enthusiastic to support my fifi perspective early on. Several people seem to think that his promise to behave D2 onward temporarily exonerates him, though. Whatever. My other fifiscum-derived burn target would be Cobalt, but for the opposite reason. It looked like he was trying to deflect my fifi view a little bit at first.

I'm for either Cruc or Almaster to burn.

Cruc seems like he's reluctant, so lets do him.

Cruc, are you going to burn, or are you refusing?

it's definitely cruc at this point.

Cruc, please burn 8 times, you're the towns selection for an investigation. You will still be able to perform night actions toniight, and won't cause us to lose the lynch or any night actions, and the burn will cause you to be investigated, as if by a cop.

You're the choice we chose. So unless you are opposed to revealing your alignment, you should comply, lest we make assumptions.

This is just annoying. If it wasn't for the fact that this is a game I'm interested in, I'd be replacing out. Breaking the setup this bad defeats the purpose of the game.
/rant

Now that that's out of the way, let's just get this day over and done with. I'm so sick of it that it's not even funny.

I suspect this sort of CP use was either intended from the start, or that there is a mechanism for taking care of it in the set-up. The Mod seems pretty competent.

Oh, I care, but look at the state of affairs right now. There's nothing to do but sit around and wait for Cruciare to come back. When/if he does show, he'll probably argue with our plan some more and then disappear again. And it may all be for nothing!

I'll add my own interesting note:

In addition to my horrible thread skimming, I name skim as well. I read a name once and that is how I decide to pronounce it even if I find out several days later that I am pronouncing it long.

All that I ask of the players is that they post by the guidlines established in the rules of the game. All players are currently doing this. As with any game, replacing players hurts the flow, but I won't love any of you any less should you feel obliged to exit the game. Like most Mods, I'd ask that you replace out as a last resort. All of you have played games here before though, so I think you all understand the concept well enough to make a sensible decision for yourself and the game.

On an unrelated note, I just found out that you can use tags inside the quote tags. I must use this power wisely.
