I saw little problem with KittyMo when she said she'd vote who wound up being me for random voting. I still don't, so obviously, the problem arose when she tried to get someone else to spark discussion, your second quote. I can't think of very many things that townies should be getting other people to do for them.
farside22 wrote:@everyone: What is the best way to get out of RVS?
I always considered the RVS over once someone made a serious vote, and that's a very good way to go about it.

I originally wanted to refrain from calling MrSuave scummy because I didn't see him behaving differently from my other game with him where he was town, but now I'm more willing to say he's scummy. Appeal to emotion and pointless discussion about non-Mafia games.

KittyMo is as capable of thought as the other 11 of us. I don't know if she can reasonably ask you for an alternative method of discussion as if you can pull it out of a hat, and by not thinking of something else herself, she's stalling discussion.

What do I believe your mindset is? You place too much stock on your own meta. I finished a game relatively recently where everybody on my lynch was town and so was I.

As for your behavior, you were pretty much asking for trouble early on; I didn't want to give it to you. It also took you awhile to scumhunt, looking at you in ISO.

Perhaps my ideal of everybody thinking for themselves isn't true. In real life, I'm the kind of person that likes to teach a man to fish rather than give him a fish.
Jazzmyn wrote:I also find it suspicious how SC telegraphed his vote for MrS (150) before making it and then seemed to have to be prodded by yabba into actually laying down the vote (more on this when I get to farside), despite saying "Now I am sure." Something just doesn't feel right about that although, again, I waffle a bit on this because of that last game with Nikanor and MrS, because SC was in that game, too, and I know that he was absolutely convinced that MrS was scum in that game, and I remember being suspicious of MrS then too, even though he turned out to be town. So, part of me understands SC's hesitation here, but I still don't understand the "Now I am sure" part.
I have a scummy meta of MrSuave. My question was if it was his playstyle or legitimately scummy actions; I have decided the latter, hence "Now I am sure." I know that I have a scummy meta, but I also know that there are scum tells that still work well on me. That's how I'm going about MrSuave.
Jazzmyn wrote:Then, at 203, SC moved his vote to XS after SC voted for Lowell and potentially tied Lowell to Kitty as scum, which I don't know what to make of.
Speak up when you do know, but the Lowell-KittyMo scum connection was something I accused XScorpion of stretching to make, not a connection I made myself. I didn't view Lowell as suspicious until I voted him.
Jazzmyn wrote:I didn't like his post 229 where he said he hadn't noticed anyone lurking, as it was bloody obvious that Scott/nhammen and Locke Lamora were both lurking up a storm at that point so badly that they had posted virtually no content at all. I note this because I think it's very telling that a player doesn't notice that there are severe lurkers at that point in a game (i.e. approaching deadline), which makes me think that scum is pretending not to notice a lurking scumpartner.
As I said, I forgot Locke Lamore was even in the game. You can't be called out for lurking in a game in which you are not playing, can you? Therefore, my thinking, though I must admit that you have a good point.
Jazzmyn wrote:Lastly, SC's late change of vote in 261 looks bad to me. He unvoted XS saying, "let's make my vote useful" but instead of voting for Lowell who was the only player likely to be lynched at the deadline by that point (as he had 5 votes to Zach's 3 and MrS's 2), he moved his vote to MrS, which was pretty pointless, and not "useful" as he claimed.
I thought the distribution of votes between them was more even.

One, Nikanor was the first to bring it up, by calling her a liar when it didn't get posted the night she said she would. In fact, when I do, I address him. Two, I was unwilling to put stock in it because some RL issue of hers always seems to come up in games we're in together.

You took me out of context. I concede to saying little to all the arguments against it, but I was against it too, not in favor of it. By "I don't care if we all massclaimed 'I investigated X and got a Y on them'," I meant that I view it as scummy as proposing that the two cops out themselves, which I interpreted Lowell as saying in what I quoted in 291. Note the tone of this post: it and what I say suggest that I
DO
object to hypoclaiming. If I didn't, the word "however" or something to similar effect would be in the same sentence or I would start a new paragraph before putting that. Your interpretation of the last sentence doesn't fit with what's before it.

I have to agree with you here. There is a Mafia tailor and no roleblocker, and the tailor probably told the rest of the Mafia his or her target. Therefore, in a hypoclaim situation, somebody claiming a correct result on a player that was tailored that night can be ruled out as a cop, thus narrowing down the pool.

No it does not. If it does at all, it's only by a trivial amount in favor of scum, who knows who should be showing up as innocent and who should be showing up as guilty. Stop insisting that the town can benefit from hypoclaiming.

farside22 and Lowell are scum, with MrSuave and XScorpion being somewhat good candidates as the other one. I don't have a strong read either way on anyone else.

Clarifying ≠ backtracking. Jazzmyn misinterpreted the tone of my statement, so I explained that how she took it does not make sense. Read between the lines.

If I may go outside of a Mafia context, this hypothetical situation:
Jazzmyn:
Would you like me to get you some chocolate?
StrangerCoug, pleased:
I don't care if you got me all the chocolate in the world.

...is not the same as this hypothetical situation:
Jazzmyn:
Would you like me to get you some chocolate?
StrangerCoug, angry:
I don't care if you got me all the chocolate in the world.

I may not be wording it any differently, but I'm saying something entirely different with a different emotion.

Not at all. Still see your vote as opportunist, along with not actually reading the game.
My vote is opportunist? *scoffs* You have been supporting the hypocliam idea long after it was supposed to have been beaten down and explained to death why it favors scum. As for your other point, you're reading the game even less than I am; if you weren't, you would have attacked me over the "I don't care about hypoclaiming" statement close to when Jazzmyn did, not after she stopped doing so.

OK, here's the deal:

One, I don't see how it makes sense to talk about the hypoclaim the way she did and continues to do when she's one of the cops; therefore, I don't know what the hell she was thinking when she did so. She was right to claim at L-1, but I doubt her claim.

Two, I would expect farside22 to be experienced enough not to be defending the case on her with WIFOM. If she is town, she should have checked the game and made sure what she said happened really happened. That she didn't is a bad mark on her. And before she calls it idiotic for scum to be doing, I've done idiotic moves as scum too—and after I consider myself to have started improving my game.

Three, I still think Lowell is her scumbuddy. That he's quick to believe her result leads me to believe that farside22 is the tailor. If I'm right as to her role, I want at least one of the real cops to investigate Lowell tonight. I'll leave how to go about the result without getting outted (I
STILL
want them hidden right now) up to that person.

How farside22 would implicate you by "clearing" you is very simple: she likely knew who was tailored, and all signs point to you as the one tailored. You were quick to believe her false investigation, and you've been very defensive lately.

OMGUS doesn't get you anywhere.

And I second the question as to why the other cop is useless. Do you know who it is, and are you planning on killing him or her?

What's the point of this?

Is there someone else we should be considering lynching?
XScorpion now, and I'm about ready to bite MrSuave's head off as I don't remember him posting much along the lines of content.

While it's possible that XScorpion is bussing Lowell, I feel that this is a harsh way of doing it, so I don't think they're both scum. I like the path I'm taking, but it's not the only path—there may be other good ones out there.

If anyone knows how I catch up, I try to do a wall-o-text per game day. It's been tough with the craziness work has brought me in the past week, as well as the site's errors. I have posted in other games, but it's games that I started from the beginning and I have no need to catch up on.

If someone can tell me the above information, or if the first post can be updated, it would be greatly appreciated.
Jazzmyn, who was a cop, is dead along with who's there and it's Day 3.

A quick KittyMo ISO gives me the impression that she hasn't attacked Lowell really heavily, if it doesn't confirm it. While I will entertain the possibility that she could be scum, I don't think she's scum with Lowell. Something about KittyMo bussing Lowell isn't ringing.

This is a strange question for me coming from StrangerCoug because he's not one to speculate about NKs, and I just wanted to note it because through Day 1 reading because it's not a typical action for him and I've gotten a pro-town read off him. It just doesn't mesh.
We could not come to a consensus for who should be lynched on Day 1. I was trying to open up a path of discussion to see if that was better than what I perceived would happen—just keep going from where Day 1 discussion left off. Apparently, that didn't have the effect I wanted.

You have barely been suspicious of kitty at all... Where did this come from? In fact, the only other time that you have mentioned kitty at all today is:
StrangerCoug wrote:A quick KittyMo ISO gives me the impression that she hasn't attacked Lowell really heavily, if it doesn't confirm it. While I will entertain the possibility that she could be scum, I don't think she's scum with Lowell. Something about KittyMo bussing Lowell isn't ringing.
Well then, what is scumkitty's motivation for avoiding attacking townLowell? At that point, enough of the town was pursuing a Lowell lynch, that scum could get away with it without taking scumpoints. Why not do this?
I think the answer is very simple—she could want us to think that someone other than Lowell-town is scum; therefore, she would be avoiding what she might perceive as an easy mislynch. I'm more confident in Lowell-scum than KittyMo-scum, however, therefore my stating my preference for which one.

I still like KittyMo as scum, and MrSuave saying there's still a tailor seems a bit off. This seems to be a hard role for us to understand, so I think I'll pass his opening comment about it off as a null tell.

If you're going to portray me as starting scummy bandwagons that end up resulting in mislynches, at least give evidence of such. I thought that farside22 and Lowell were linked; they weren't. You were next on my list of suspicion after them for pretty much lurking.

Hmmm...

I have a problem with the fact that you're acting like my lynch is already set in stone even though this day began, oh, 2-3 real life days ago? It's definitely a possibility you're trying to set up an easy lynch just like Lowell was yesterday...
OK, the lurking accusation's my fault for playing as I go. I need to rethink this.

Unvote: KittyMo
