First, what are you comparing with to decide that he's "increased" his usage?

Second,

if you think someone is subconsciously dropping a scum-tell, why are you warning him about it

? If you're town his alignment should be unknown to you, so why wouldn't you note it silently and keep scrutinizing him? Warning people of unknown alignment how to avoid your suspicion doesn't seem like the best possible scum-hunting method.

First, I'm comparing it to his earlier posts in the game, which seemed to have less emoticons. Maybe I'm just retarded, I don't know, but I swear I've read a legit theory that supports my idea of increasing emoticon usage = scum somewhere before.

In response to your questions:

Hoopla's post so far clearly focus on Suave, but I get the impression that she doesn't actually have him down as mafia, however anti-town or scummy she thinks he's acting. Which is weird. As for factoring in the out-of-left-field posting style, I would think scum are more inclined not to get experimental, which weakens my suspicion of her, but it's always dicey to read into those aspects. Meh.

That is what I agreed with specifically. Hoopla was tunneling on Suave, but didn't even seem convinced, herself.

Me telling Suave to stop using so many emoticons is me attempting to get an unbiased read on him. I have an automatic bias when people use emoticons, as it makes them seem scummier to me. So no, it wasn't coaching, it was me telling him to quit the excessive smileys. If you want to call it coaching, go ahead, but it wasn't.

On D1 in Mini 842 you set up for a D2 claim. You got lynched in LYLO for the inconsistency in your claim and later reports.

I got lynched mostly because it was a bullshit role to start out with. Also, I claimed on D2, not D1. Irrelevant argument/10.

That's mafia in a nutshell, and it gets quite a bit done in the long run. What you see as "pointing at each other" will be important tomorrow - committing to a stance on a player (or avoiding alignment discussion on a player) are telling after someone flips.

1. I wasn't breadcrumbing in the second post: it was more of a joke and was made to point out how unhelpful tubby was being.

2. So it's not okay for me to change my mind after thinking it over? Ah. I see. I changed my mind because I thought back and realized... people might make too big a deal over D1 lynches, and they're rarely ever correct, so random lynching would be okay.
