@Scien: You look like you're trying to hop on small semantic/syntax problems to lynch somebody, instead of looking more towards motivations. This ties directly into my acronym that I put towards Hohum where I put you and him as scumbuddies. You hopping on where hohum had voted does not help your case. Scien for his attack on Dram (Dram's action that Scien is harping on isn't scummy in my eyes, so the attack, considering the duration and intensity of it make me think he's trying to look pro-town by attacking something little for a long time, without looking at other people as much). Hohum for his first early posts, looks like scum to me. I could see them being scumbuddies as well.

@Scien: Don't answer my question with a question right away. Both could be used depending on the player and the situation. There is no clear cut "right" answer because if there was, no scum would be dumb enough to use the other answer as the other one would be "right" 100% of the time and would make them appear insanely townie (which is the point of being mafia).

Thanks for the compliment, though I thought you were the cop (my comment on hohum/WIFOM was because he was first to confirm, and I thought that Mitey would send out scum PMs first, so to have him confirm during the original posting was him getting the first PM by scum).

Course, I didn't see anything else that I thought was pro-town by him, so it wouldn't have mattered.

Knowing how the setup works helps a lot though, and you can go from there. Scum have a reason to try to abuse the setup, while town can look for said abuses.

Scien: Your catch on Dram was better than I made it out to be, so I apologize for that; though you tunneled on charter way too much IMO. He was clearly right about the setup and to have a wrong conclusion be hammered at him so often and early on (and then lead to a case against him) would make anyone angry. I think that's where the charter suspicion started, and I could see that perfectly coming from a townie; so that's why nobody was going to convince me that charter was scum.

Yeah, it's a fine line to prevent tunneling, it's something that I'm working on as I get through more games. Though with this NK/game end, and two other games finished like right now, I need to go keep improving myself. ttyl and fun game (other than hohum's gambit)

If that's all you thought was terrible about your play, then I wanted to point out what could've been better/been worse. If you want to question why I thought the case was weak, go for it.

And no, the mod posted the endgame results a page or two back. Or they allowed the townies killed d1/n1 back into the game to give everyone a fair shot.

Well, I think he means that your cases could have been condensed Scien. I tend to agree. There were some things (charter ignoring hohum) that you had a lot of unnecessary repetition over without making your point any stronger. Sometimes stating your point strongly once is has more impact than repeating it a lot of times. I tend to find that people are distrustful of players how over argue their cases.

The reason I disregarded it is that a simple mistake explained missing the thread (checking the wrong forum). Had I looked back and tried to apply that excuse, it wouldn't have worked, so it was a good point; drams defense did help me dismiss it though (he played well in that regard).

I think your problem is that you *look* like you're tunneling, and that (in most players experience) is town on town. That's where the too many questions comes in, in my opinion.

Yeah, I've never seen the first wagon lynched, ever. Probably the "need to get more info" or whatever I'm guessing; and the taboo of ending the day early.

VP's last paragraph is definitely true. You need to convince us all personally, not try to convince the person you're attacking; cause that'll never happen.

Yeah, but I'm pretty new here, and in my 15 (tops) completed games, I don't think I've ever seen the first wagon lynched. Unless it leaves and comes back.

I stick with my votes quite a bit, actually. I think VP can attest to this, unless I see something scummy as hell, I keep my vote on somebody. Or I'll grab a group of 2-3 people and I'll switch it between them and it takes very little for me to put a vote on 'em.
