Skipping to the end so I can weigh on this, then I'll go back and re-read Zazie vs. Orto.

OMGUS ****IS***** a scum tell. Is it a home run scum tell? No. Newbies do it a lot and so do marginal to bad mafia players. However, it is a scum tell in the fact that town players shouldn't assume that the person who builds a case on them must be scum. I'm all for someone defending against a case made on them and if they happen to present a counter attack that's founded on logic and reason and backed up with evidence then I'm more willing to to see the accused in a townie light. Its easy to say "Well I'm a townie, so if Pookie is attacking me he must be against the town." That's essentially OMGUS in a nutshell and its also craplogic, which is *another* scum tell. So yes, when I see OMGUS, I'll attack the player using it every time.

Back to catching up.

@Empking- there is absolutely no reason why OP should have to fully claim. I agree that OP revealing his ability when he did and the way he did was extremely protown and as such he can possibly catch scum in a fake claim. Even a small chance that this can happen shouldn't be thrown away. I'd like to hear a concise reason why you think it will help the town for him to claim or I'll be voting you.

Although I agree with Tony. I'm not letting a claim of mason with no discernable backup coast to the endgame. After all, without a partner claiming, there is no way for us to know that he's mod confirmed to his partner or not. I've seen games where scum was partnered with town.

Sorry folks, got busy at work over the past couple days. Just caught back up again. My thoughts on Emp? I voted him before for his behavior regarding the flavor claims and then unvoted pending further developments and hearing from his mason partner. When his mason partner shows up, its to tell us that he's been misrepping their conversations. Its too early in the game for Dizzy to be lying about that, so I'm back to thinking Empking is the lynch for today. I'll do the hammering if no one else does, but I want to make sure we give everyone a chance to speak before we end the day.

Yeah, but there really isn't anything that would cause us to think you're not cleared in this case. A townie claimed that you were mod confirmed town. Seems pretty open and shut to me. Granted, being confirmed doesn't do much beyond put a target on your back. I have to admit, I'm somewhat lost as far as what direction to go in.

I'm Wood Elves. I targeted Orange Penguin night 1 and got no result. Night 2 I targetted KMD and saw that he targetted CDB. Last night I targetted Tony and apparently got beaten to a pulp. Since I had previously gotten no result without bruises on Orange Penguin, I'm pretty sure the beating had to do with Tony's role, not me being blocked.

I'm not targetting Tony tonight. I hate to throw this monkey wrench into everyone's plans, but I'm not scum. Goat or CDB must be scum with Zazie. I say we lynch Zazie and go to night. That leaves 5 players alive. Me, Goat, Tony, CDB, and Dizzy. I don't think there are 3 scum left regardless of whether there are 1 or 2 factions, because if there were, then the 3 scum could simply agree to share vicotry over the town and the game would be over.

The scum will want to leave me alive so they can lead the mislynch against me tomorrow. They can't target Tony because even if he's lying about being un-nightkillable, he'd probably still mark whoever targetted him. Dizzy is confirmed town. That means the remaining scum has to be either Goat or CDB.

It makes no sense to agree to this plan. I want to catch scum. I think the last scum is among CDB and goat. I'm going to watch CDB or goat tonight. either I see who makes a kill tonight or the other one did. *That* makes sense. It also forces the scum to kill me tonight instead of pushing a mislynch against me tomorrow. Its insane for me to waste my ability getting beaten down again when I could be catching scum.

Actually, Tony's PLAY overrides what I think about his ROLE. Speculating on his role is gaming the mod and doesn't accomplish anything. It matters to me who a claimed cop is targetting, as I'm a tracker and cop could be a ballsy (if unlikely) false claim. He was my only lead at the time, so I watched him.

The first night was a ploy to unbalance the town if I recall correctly. After that, we were just content to let the other team make the kills. I was hoping to be able to hand over a scum and get myself confirmed at townie tracker.
