you're not accomplishing much yourself bud. its true that its useless to keep talking about absent players, but going after easy targets is just as bad. can't you find a better wagon target then xenaroth? Because I can.Lowell wrote:

Well its just that I don't exactly see a "fray" to get into at this point. It was page one, there was very little to be reluctant of. And yes, calling it a hunch does make me feel better, but your backtracking doesn't.Lowell wrote:Calling attention to lurkers often signifies a reluctance to get in the fray. Elias_the_Thief: Her retaliation vote. However, a late post makes here overall percent (since my last post) go down. Thus, slightly more town from beginning. Attack on Lowell looks genuine but Lowell's defense was superior, and from my standing, more logical than the attack. Still, Elias ends up over all townie at this very early stage.
Second, which vote is the retaliation vote? Do you mean when I voted you for "trying to confuse the mod"? Because that was entirely a joke vote.
Personally I think its a tad bit early to be posting analysis like this, but whatever floats your boat. However, since you do have this small bit of early analysis posted, would you mind telling us who you find the most suspicious thus far? Am I correct in guessing that its Ash?I play the games rul gud.- Elias_the_thief

I know it was a joke vote. Perhaps this was too dry?
You are right it is early, never too early. Also, there is no "most" supicious at this point because they all went up exceptionally slightly. Perhaps Nab *IF* anyone at this point, but there is a reason that I am not voting.

Well my vote remains on beyond birthday for now. I find urging people to be active without any actual contribution as scummy. Nabakov a least gave us something to talk about (lowelll being scummy earlier) which I will return to later today. For now, I think a wagon on beyond birthday would be the best way to get some discussion going. Anyone else down?I play the games rul gud.- Elias_the_thief

So you have the time to check this thread frequently enough that you know in under an hour when you're getting wagoned, but you dont have the time to post ANYTHING AT ALL game related? I find that very hard to believe. Even if you're placing *priority* on that game, this doesn't excuse the fact that youve made two total posts, neither game related.I play the games rul gud.- Elias_the_thief

I'm just curious as to how you're using a marathon game to excuse not posting at all this entire game when that marathon game started today. And I'm curious how you think its ok to post in those other two games consistently and not in this one. Its not about making our "ass cheeks smile" as you so elegantly put it, its about posting in a game if you sign up for it. Why would you sign up for a game just to sit around and not say anything. The fact that you post in other games and not in this one suggests to me that you are lurking only in this one because you are most likely scum in this one.I play the games rul gud.- Elias_the_thief

Thoughts on what I missed: xenas defense was pretty good in my opinion. plain sight lurkers include: millar, simpor, Ash, awa. this is pretty depressing. Ash also seems pretty opportunistic and scummy when he places his vote on xena, and further, his request that he have notes to "compare to" is kind of sketchy.
Xena, I think calling what me and millar had a "screaming match" is pretty unfair. I never once lost my cool. If using the word "bitching" means that I'm screaming or losing my cool, then this is news to me.
Hopefully I'll have extended thoughts tomorrow, player by player style. This is just a rudimentary sketch.I play the games rul gud.- Elias_the_thief

Couple of pbp's...I chose to go over Ash and Xenaroth because they seem to be the focus of the current discussion (I wanted to see if there was merit to the Ash case). AWA was kind of a random decision.
AWA:
2- random vote, confirm
4- random vote v 2.0
9- response to BB
84- Apology for lack of posts, analysis of players. Its rudimentary, but somewhat useful. Its worth noting that it makes negative points against basically everyone, but has no vote.
100- clarification of analysis. Doesn't really improve the original post, still no vote.
112- useless post
Conclusion: not much substance, no posts recently. Seems noncommittal (no #1 suspect, no votes, just attacks everyone). Slight scum vibes, but too early to tell really.
Xenaroth:
10- random vote, confirm
18- change vote to lurker. its a little early to be lurker hunting, but not necessarily scummy.
20- see above analysis
40- good answer to lowell vote. discusses BB.
43- continues discussion with BB
53- analysis of BB, weak vote on lowell.
55- response to skitzer, nothing of note.
80- attempt to mediate between me and millar. I dont like the tone in which he responds to my attacks to millar and undermines my attempts to bring him out of the woodwork.
82- sounds like a bit of coaching of millar. interesting.
91- response to awa. deadline question
92- see above.
109- explains absense
114- as i said before, this is a good defense.
125- see above.
128- promises case. still waitin for that one...
Conclusion: i liked the level of activity early, its fallen off some now. the defense was good, but its easy to sound good defending against bs. hint of coaching of millar is of note later. not really leaning one way or the other on this one.
Ash:
3- random vote, confirm
15- second random vote, semi serious discussion and question posed to xen.
19- following up xen discussion
62- jumps on millar wagon right after i start it. simply states that he agrees.
93- nothing of substance here.
113- very weak reason for the vote, and this is his second time jumping on a bandwagon with poor reasons.
116- very defensive post. instead of trying to reiterate his argument, he tries to cover his ass from some weak counterattacks that xen threw into his defense. focuses on name error rather than actual argument from xen.
119- asks for nabs opinions so they could compare notes. as I said before, this is sketchy, especially when he has posted none of his own.
148- response to nab. still no notes from him. its also worth noting that this post fails to respond to the discussion with xen about his vote. interesting seeing as xenaroth had proved his reason for voting hypocritical. yet, no unvote. hmm...
Conclusion: wagon follower, opportunistic. Lack of good reasons for vote. sketchy request to nab. The thing that tops it off is how he simply drops the point with xen, but leaves his vote on. the vote that was proven hypocritical. pretty frickin scummy.
---------------------------------------------
The case against Ash is surely strong, but it bothers me a lot that I am the first to mention a lot of these points against him, while the majority of people on this wagon have said things along the lines of "changes his vote a lot, seems shifty". Seeing as he's already at -2, I will hold off on my vote until Ash responds.I play the games rul gud.- Elias_the_thief

I really don't want to wait until Ash gets prodded...millar is um...interesting in his argumentation. Can't say its scummy though, so long as he legitimately believes in his scumtells. I dont like the "dont get defensive yet" from beyond birthday. preempting and discouraging discussion = scummy. why would you not want to discuss the points you have against nabnab?I play the games rul gud.- Elias_the_thief

If Ash doesnt come back, theres no point in finding a replacement really. We can't give the replacement a clean slate, but they can't explain Ash's previous actions. So really all that does is stall the hell out of the game. I really hate the level of flaking in games nowadays =/I play the games rul gud.- Elias_the_thief

I have never heard of the cop's partner either...maybe it was essentially a deputy? Guess it doesnt really matter now.
Skitzer, if by case you mean essentially writing out "HES A LURKER" over two-three sentences, then sure lowell has a case. But I mean, theyre really not all that different in their reasoning, besides the fact that lowell is better at selling it. However, there is a point to be made that BB calls AWA scum for the lurking while Lowell simply votes him.
Interesting idea, but I don't understand what lead you to it...could you elaborate?Beyond_Birthday wrote:Sounds slightly like scum novice (millar) who got instructed on how to act.I play the games rul gud.- Elias_the_thief
