Mini 735 - Bad Times In Kuribonia- Game over!

Post Post #0 (isolation #0) » Thu Jan 22, 2009 1:31 am

Post by kuribo »

Kuribonia was once such a peaceful town. Well, okay, not really. But it was a town free from the influence of organized crime. At least until today. Today, in the town's very own city hall, was found a copy of Goodfellas. The townspeople realize this means that their town has been infiltrated by the Mafia, and that there is only one rational response--- horrifying violence in the form of angry mob justice. So, each day, they'll get together and brutally murder one of their own, in an attempt to weed out the bad guys. Of course, they're not savages. They'll be taking votes first.

All role PMs have been sent out.

Still Living (
Bold
is confirmed):
houseofcards
Idiotking (Godfather)

qwints (Mafia Goon)

Reecer6 (Cop), Lynched Day 1

MonkeyMan576 (Roleblocker), Lynched Day 2

Prof. Guppy (Vanilla Townie), killed Night 2
Qanqan (Vanilla Townie), killed Night 2

ting =) (Vanilla Townie), Lynched Day 3

Kieraen (Serial Killer), Killed Night 3

Ythill, Vanilla Townie, Killed Night 3

Rules, shamelessly stolen from bird1111 and slightly massaged:
0. This is a game. However, I of all people realize that sometimes things do get personal. That's Mafia. But don't be such a jerk that everyone hates you and complains to me because I would not like that. :(
1. The game will start with a Day Start once all confirms are in.
2. During Day, you may vote for one player at a time. Votes must be bold or they will not be counted. Unvoting is optional.
3. Whenever a player has more than half of the people alive voting for him/her, that player will be lynched, and his or her role will be revealed, and Night will begin.
4. If discussion lags or Day goes on for too long, a deadline may be set, most likely a retractable deadline, but if I feel it is necessary it will be non-retractable. At deadline, if there are 8 or more people, a half majority will suffice, if there are 7 or less, than a full majority is needed to lynch.
5. Do not talk outside the thread unless your role allows it.
6. If you’re dead, you get one ‘bah’ post with no game-related content.
7. If you have any question, complaint, or comment, PM me.
8. Confirm in thread.
9. Feel free to correct me if I make a mistake, but be nice about it.
10. I will try my best to get a vote count near or at the top of every page or at least every few days.
11. If you do not post for 72 hours or if a player requests I do so, I will prod you by PM, and then if you still do not post, you may be replaced or prodded again. Absences that are posted in thread, noted in your sig and/or posted in VLA are exceptions to this rule.
12. Red is the offical mod color, no one but me may post in it, and if someone other than me edits it, the red will be edited out and they will be warned.
13. The setup and roles were 100% randomized.
14. If I have to prod someone a third time in a game day, they will be replaced instead unless one of the prods was when they were V/LA, which do not count.
15. If you are modkilled for any reason that is not a mod mistake, you will be turned into a Neutral Survivor, and therefore lose. The town will either be told your previous alignment or not, depending on which is worse for your side. So you see, you're pretty much screwing your teammates.
16. If you do something that, while not "technically" outlined within the game, still falls against the spirit of the game, I reserve the right of final judgment regarding your actions. I am the Law. Heh. Judge Dredd was an awesome movie.
17. I reserve the right to edit these rules as I see fit.
18. Oh. And you may not quote your role PM (or any other mod communication) in whole or in part. Doing so is grounds for a modkill. You may paraphrase it if you wish, but be careful that it doesn't come too close to the actual PM. If in doubt, ask me by PM first.

Day 1
Vote Count V- The Final Chapter

Reecer- 7 (QueenofHearts, Qanqan, Polymorph, qwints, Prof Guppy, Ting=), MonkeyMan576)
Kierean- 1 (houseofcards)

The town gathers around Reecer6 with murder in their eyes. "But, I'm not scum, he exclaims!" His pleas fall upon deaf ears. The seven people who cast their votes had sealed his fate. Hoisting him from the nearby Hangin' Tree, they wait until the sun begins to go down. "Well, then, that's that," says one, "I suppose we should root through his pockets." Root through his pockets they do. They find a Kuribonia Police Department Badge and a police-issue gun. Reecer was in fact, a
Cop.

Reecer6, Cop, has been lynched!

It is now Night 1. Anyone with night choices has 72 hours to send them to me.

For years, the World's Most Giantest Blender had stood in the Kuribonia town square. Silently it peered over the town as a testament to the stupidity of the people that founded this dump. And, silently, last night, someone used it for death. As the townspeople awoke, they met near the city hall, but their attentions were drawn to the blender. There, inside, was a dead person. Close investigation revealed this to be
12.
Further investigation turned up a copy of Frank Sinatra's greatest hits. He was a
Mafia Goon
.

The town wasn't finished making grisly discoveries, either. A quick glance was all it took to notice that Lumpy, the Town Snake had choked to death on a hapless villager. Doing a corpse-ectomy on the now very dead snake, they found the equally very dead corpse of
Tovarish.
Searching his pockets, they find his National Townie Association membership card. He was a
Vanilla Townie.

Long story short:

12, Mafia Goon, has been Killed!

Tovarish, Vanilla Townie, has been Killed!

Short story long: Anything by Dickens.

Day 2 has begun!

With
9
alive, it's
5

Day 2 Votecount 4: Hello my Ragtime Gal!

Houseofcards- 1 (ting)
MonkeyMan576- 5 (Kieraen, Ythill, qwints, Qanqan, Prof. Guppy)
Guppy- 2 (Monkeyman, houseofcards)

With
9
alive, it's
5
to lynch!

The town gathered around MonkeyMan with menace in their eyes. As the final votes were cast, he continued to protest. "But, I'm a Roleblocker," he said. "I'm on you guys' side," He swore. They laughed. Oh, how they laughed. And when they finished laughing, they strung him up from the tree that had ended Reecer's life. In the end, with MonkeyMan having shuffled loose the mortal coil, there was but one thing left to do. As the sun began to set, the town searched MonkeyMan's pockets. They found some Legos with, "Die, Scum!" written upon them. Clearly these Legos were for blocking roles. Get it? Blocks? Anyway, the point is, he's dead now, and he was a
Roleblocker.

MonkeyMan576,
Pro-town Roleblocker
has been lynched!

It is now Night 2. Anyone with Night Actions has 72 hours to send them to me. Also, I am still looking for a replacement for QueenofHearts.

As the town cowers in its bed during the night, the silence is broken by a the sound of sobbing, followed by voices. "Put your mouth on the curb! Put it on the curb! Now say goodnight!" This is followed by a sickening crack.

The next morning, the town investigates, and finds that
Qanqan
has been curbstomped. As the townspeople look under his clothing, they find his "I love The Town" t-shirt underneath his pajamas. He was a
Vanilla Townie.

The town busily mourns the loss of Qanqan, but they quickly realize that he's not the only one missing. Rushing to the home of
Prof. Guppy
, they find that he has been stuffed into his own refrigerator. And did I mention he was dead? Yes, yes, he was. The town looks through his home to try and gain some information about his alignment. That information comes quickly when they find his subscription to Townies Monthly. He was a
Vanilla Townie.

So, to reiterate:

Qanqan, Vanilla Townie, has been killed.
Prof. Guppy, Vanilla Townie, has been killed

It is now Day 3. With

HoC has not picked up his prod and will be replaced.
I'm willing to give Ting another day or two due to his better record of participation

Ting =) still has yet to pick up the prod, so I'm going to be replacing him.
I'll likely soon have a replacement for HoC, though.

Vote Count for Day 3:
Ting =)- 4 (Ythill, qwints, Kieraen, q21)

The town gathered around Ting =) with murder in their eyes. He had been uncharacteristically silent this day. Perhaps he was one of the scourges that infested this small town. As they ordered him to confess, or deny the accusations, or even say SOMETHING, he simply stood stoically before them. Finally, having enough, the townspeople take him to a nearby tree and string him up. Silent even in his death, Ting is soon gone from this world. "Shall we see where his allegiance lie?" says one townsman. They begin to search him. They find an "I Love This Town" tattoo on his right shoulder. He was a
Vanilla Townie.

It is now Night 3. All Night actions are due in 72 hours.

The day breaks once more, and the town disperses amongst itself to see who's left after yesterday's bloodshed. The first glaring absence is Ythill.
Ythill
had been quite opinionated, as was his custom. But, sadly, those days were long behind him. As were his days of having a head. Yes, Ythill's head had been removed. Upon closer inspection, the neck still wore his Official Townie Club pendant.

Ythill, Townie, has been Nightkilled.

The town doesn't have time to react to this sad news. You see, three feet away, dead from a single gunshot to the head, is
Kieraen
. The town attempts to ascertain his alignment. This doesn't take long, since he holds Ythill's head in his left hand and an axe in his right.

Kieraen, Serial Killer, has been Nightkilled

q21
turns to
Idiotking
and
qwints
. He starts, "Well, I'll be a son of a---" He never finishes that statement, thanks to the gun in qwints' hand.

q21, Vanilla Townie, has been endgamed.

Mafia: Idiotking (Godfather) and qwints (Mafia Goon) win!

Night action notes will be posted in a bit.
