Ditto what Dourgrim said. Though I
would
like to point out that being a skilled player and posting every time a wild hair is encountered are not mutually exclusive traits... :|

ROFL... I certainly didn't mean to imply anything to the contrary, MeMe dear. I seem to be a bit on the unclear side as of late, aren't I? :?

Why don't we make the restriction based on games instead of postcounts?

Agreed with MeMe and Dourgrim, but it doesn't mean I have to stop making fun of them. :)

Stewie, I by all means concede that many of your posts have interesting content.

Well actually, it depends. They usually wait 'til there are a lot of people waiting for them so they don't have make one it every time someone asks.

They=Jeep

I think it's sugar and Jeep. Sugar makes the list when there are lots of people. When Jeep sees the list, he copies it into the title.

I like this idea. The number of games a person has been in tells a lot more than his/her post count. Plus, the more games a person has been in, the more likely a fun title can be thought of.

More people who agree with this?

Makes sense to me. By the way I've been in several games here, and it's not my fault that 3 of them had to be abandoned.

and how much games would that be?

5? 10? or a combination of at least 5 minis, and 2-3 big games, or something among those lines?

Well, a mini game takes about 4 days to end and a normal/themed game about 8. Let's say a player normally participating in a game will make four posts a day. That's 16 posts per mini game and 32 per normal/themed game.

So if we say they have to have played at least four mini games (4x16=64) and two normal/themed games (2x32=64), that would make an actual meaningfull postcount of 128. Seems okay to me. I know these numbers don't apply to every game, but I think it's a fair indication.

I think this is a much better method than straight post count.

I don't like requiring people to play in a certain type of game. I know a couple of players who steer clear of large games because of the rate of drop-out. Five to six games total (regardless of type) seems fair to me -- all we're after is assurance that they're hooked, right?

I guess you're right, MeMe. I never realized that there are people who are avoiding the big games.
MeMe wrote:all we're after is assurance that they're hooked, right?
True, true. Okay, six games of any type should do the trick. If you're not hooked by then, you never will be ;).

what about by number of nights? you have to play a set number of nights, and of course, the folloowing day. Let's say, for example, 20 nights would be a good number.. The only problem I see with this is that if you always die in night 1 you would have some problems getting a title, but that's unlikely to happen, IMO.

People who always die night one generally do so because they already have a long history of surviving longer.

How many games is several? Gimme a second here. Actually it's only five not counting games I'm currently in. Seems like more though because I've done some on other sites. Probably also seems like more because of Intrigue's insanely long days.

Anyway what this ammounts to is that I'm clearly eligible for a title, which was my original point in the first place.

Yeah, I like Stewie's idea better. Maybe the number of days you lived through (or didn't drop out of or got replaced in) rather than the number nights. So it's more based on how good you are at staying unsuspicious rather than how many games you've played in. That way it's not like right when you get here you sign up for 4-5 games and you've got a title.

And maybe (if this idea goes through) we could include a day even if you got lynched. Or not. Whatever.
