General Rules/Game Etiquette

1. Obey all site-wide rules.
   
2. Talking outside of the thread about this game is forbidden, unless your role specifically gives you permission. (Eg. scum PTs.)
   
3. Quoting
   any
   private communication into the game thread is not allowed. You are allowed to quote private moderation communications into any scum PTs, or notes PTs you have access to.
   
4. Flavor is merely flavor in this game. Do not try to make arguments using it, or I will stop posting it.
   
5. Follow the golden rule, (do unto others as you would have them do unto you), at all times. I understand mafia can get heated, but keep it civil.
   
6. If you can somehow edit/delete your posts, don't.
   
7. Play towards your win-condition at all times. Don't gamethrow.
   
8. You may use the following colors, provided you are not attempting to impersonate me or my co-mod:

Activity/Prods and V/LA

1. At least once every 48 hours, you
   must post relevant, game-advancing content,
   otherwise you will be prodded. This is extended to 72 hours if you are V/LA.
   
2. If you accumulate three prods OR you do not reply within 24hrs of a prod, you will be replaced.
   
3. Up to two (2) prodges are allowed per prod.
   
4. All V/LAs must be declared in thread, or via the V/LA tags.
   I prefer you declare it in thread however.
   
   
5. If you will have an excessively long V/LA or will not have regular access to the internet/forums for extended periods of time, please request replacement instead.

Deadlines/Player Actions

1. Unless told otherwise, each day will last two weeks (14 days), and each night will last two days.
   
2. If the day/night is extended for any reason, I will post that in thread.
   
3. If you possess any actions, you must submit it via PM, or PT, otherwise it will be treated as if you took no action.
   
4. If you may target multiple people, you must specify which action targets which player, otherwise I will disregard them.

Voting

1. A simple majority is required to yeet, (half the player list, rounded down, plus one).
   
2. If you use an abbrevation of a player's name, please make sure others can understand who you are specifically referring to. Kori is fine, for example, but K is not.
   
3. If it looks like a vote, it is a vote, and it will be cast on whoever I think you're trying to vote.
   
4. Unvoting before revoting isn't required, but appreciated.

Setup Specific Rules

1. The exact setup I am drawing from can be found here.
   
2. The rand may contain any role from Post 0 to Post 11,000.
   
3. The final setup will be guaranteed to have at least
   four townies
   and
   three members of one informed scum faction, and one of any faction, as long as it’s anti-town.
   If this number is not met, I will change alignments to guarantee such. You will know if this happens, if you submit a different faction than you originally got.
   
4. Any third-party role achieving their win-condition does not automatically end the game, unless the role specifies it ends the game.
   
5. All groupscum may commit any personal actions they possess, and any factional abilities. Using multiple personal abilities in a night requires multitasking.
   
6. All groupscum are fully informed of their partners roles, and may submit on behalf of them.
   
7. Cult may not recruit groupscum with living partners.
   
8. This game features Greatest Idea Mafia discards. You will be sent three role PMs. You will keep one to become your alignment, one to become your abilities, and one to be publicly discarded.
   
9. Serial Killers have bulletproof by default as part of their vanilla role.
   
10. Korina Cult Clause is in effect. This means Cult are guaranteed to have a Cult Leader if none generates, as part of the setup.

Prelude of Calm

A hooded figure sits by the fire. Xe lifts xyr head as a person clutching a journal enters the enclosed study. It's been a while since xe've last seen someone else. Turning xyr head, xe pat the ground beside them, beckoning for the figure to come forth.

Hesitantly, they sat beside xem. They looked into the fire that roared and crackled with life. Figures and places loomed in the fire, as the figure withdrew a worn hand from xyr cloak, revealing a crossbar. Strings fell from it, disappearing in faint blue wisps. The figures calmed before fading away as the fire slowly ebbed away. "A story. One I am familiar with. Would you like to hear it?" xe asked.

They looked up at the inky black void of the hooded figure. "What can you tell me about it?" Their eyes drifted to the crossbar; their breath getting caught in their throat as they saw the ends of the strings glowing brightly with flame.

A chuckle. A faint smirk. With a flourish of the hand, xe quickly tossed the crossbar into the other hand, reaching into xyr cloak, withdrawing a single card. The backside decorated with an ornate pattern. The person stared at it for a moment, before xe finally fanned it apart. One became three, and xe flicked them around, revealing a green square, red triangle, and blue circle, as the cards were lowered in front of them.

They hesitated, hand outstretched to take one, as they looked into their hood, mouth agape. Xe flourished them towards them a little more forcefully this time. They shook their head, clutching at the journal a little tighter.

The figure stood still before moving the crossbar around. The fire roared to life, exposing the same journal, except adorned with those three gems on it. "The story first, I take it?"

A nod. Silence. The hooded figure smirked, leaving a hand outstretched, fingers curled, revealing the lifetime of work etched in them, and those three shapes—those three colors—again. The figure grabbed xyr hand, as xe started to pull the crossbar, the flames growing, engulfing the two of them.

Prologue to agony

The flames left them somewhere different. A beginning. A door. Those three symbols and colors. Crossing their arms, fingers splayed, they slowly outstretched both of their hands. The door and room they were in slowly disappeared. Astral wisps spiraled in an inky black void, on the backdrop of stars and swirling galaxies, telling the infinite stories of the universe. Xe slowly lowered xyr arms and held up a single finger, before pointing it at the ground in front of them. A pathway appeared as xe slowly painted a tale. All stories must start somewhere. The stars in the night sky must begin somewhere.

Xe crossed both hands, bringing them in front of xyr face, before outstretching them, seemingly offering to an unseen deity. The stars twisted and turned. Three figures appeared in the sky, and a different gem held the clasp of each. An emerald square, ruby triangle, and sapphire circle. The figure sighed. With the twist of a hand, xe pulled the first figure off to the side. The stars shifted and aligned, positioning them above the swirling galaxy, seemingly creating it, meticulously placing down each star, and each nebula in the galaxy. Wistfully, xe stared at it, before pulling the third figure off to the side. Another sigh, and another twist of the hand. Trees and beast slowly appeared beneath the third figure, seemingly on command by them, as the figure in the stars proudly raised their hand, brush in hand, flora and fauna appearing wherever their brush painted. And then, on the last one, xe faltered, skewedly looking at the galaxy the first one was making. In the starlight, the triangular ruby shown brightly.

The figure gasped as xe stared at the middle figure, who stared back at them blankly, impartially. With the naivety of someone who does not know what comes next.

Of Three Brothers

The figure paused for a long while. Exhaling through xyr teeth, xe fought back tears as xe slowly shifted both of xyr hands to the middle. With hands trembling, xe continued with the story, as the middle figure slowly gathered resources from the both of them to bind a tome. Intricate, with each of the three gems on it, the middle figure slowly held up the tome skyward. A face of pride and astonishment lit up the sky. The figure steeled themself, as they walked towards the figure, catching a glimpse of pride on xyr face, as the stars lit up the figure's face. Sunken and ashen, it was the face of someone who had seen countless lifetimes go by in the blink of an eye.

The figure paid no mind to the figure catching a glimpse of xyr face, nor of them smiling themself, as xe slowly tilted xyr head back. The figure frantically wrote through pages, scribbling down everything as xe watched xyr siblings from afar, proudly. But the middle figure slowly shrunk. The other two loomed over the first one, until finally, the middle figure was a mere star compared to the other two.
