General

-Adhere to all site rules.
-Always play to win.
-Remember that this is a game - heated discussion is allowed, but personal attacks are not.
-Pretending to break the rules will be treated similarly as actually breaking the rules.
-Do not quote any out of game communication regarding this game - this includes your role PM, any other PMs I may send you and any PTs you may have. You are allowed to paraphrase. Any specific timestamps also fall under this rule.

This

(#800080) is my color. You can use it, if you want. Don't try to impersonate me though.
-Do not use encryption, hidden text or excessively small text in your posts.
-Do not use any form of provable randomness. This includes dice tags, screenshots of random.org, etc. Saying you flipped a coin is okay, providing some sort of proof that you did isn’t.
-Every day phase will last for 10 days maximum.
-Night phases will last for 48 hours maximum. On any given night, if all players PM me that they are okay to speed up the night and all night actions are submitted, it will end sooner.
-Do not post in the game thread or any private topics related to this game following your death, with the exception of the dead thread.
-If you have the ability to edit or delete your posts, do not do so.
-My decisions are final. If I feel you are violating any of the rules, I will take the appropriate action.
-As a general principle, whenever moderator action is required I will attempt to make the decision that has the least impact on the natural flow of gameplay. For example, force replacing instead of modkilling whenever possible.
-Have fun!

Voting

-Vote either with vote tags (VOTE: lendunistus) or with bold text (

). You don't have to use the exact name, you can use shortened versions or abbreviations. Just make sure that I can understand who you're voting.
-If I think it's a vote, it's a vote. If I don’t think it’s a vote, it’s not a vote.
-Eliminations will occur when a majority (>50%) is reached. If no majority is reached before deadline, the day will end in a no elimination.
-You may vote No Elimination to not eliminate.
-Ending the day in a No Elimination only requires half of all players (50%) to vote No Elimination.
-Once majority has been reached, the game is in "twilight". Discussion may continue until I lock the thread but no further votes or unvotes will be counted.

Activity

-You are expected to make at least one game-relevant post every 48 hours. Players who go 48 hours without posting will be prodded.
-If you are prodded, you have 24 hours to post in-thread. If you do not respond within 24 hours, you will be replaced. Additionally, if I have to prod you 3 or more times, you will be replaced at my own discretion.
-If you're being replaced for inactivity and post in the game thread before I find a replacement for you, you get to stay.
-If you want to be replaced, send me a PM requesting replacement and do not talk about it at all in the main thread.
-Abuse of prod dodges will result in you being replaced at my own discretion.
-If you are going to be V/LA, please announce it in thread or PM me. If your V/LA will last 7 days or longer I may be forced to replace you.

Game Notes

-For night actions, this game will follow Natural Action Resolution.
-If you do not send me an action for the night, I will assume that you are not taking one.
-The Mafia private thread will be unlocked during the day as long as the Mafia Encryptor is alive. If the Mafia Encryptor dies, the Mafia private thread will only be unlocked during the night.
-Night actions may be submitted up until 10 minutes before the next day begins.

Macho - Any protective action targeted at this player (including abduction) will automatically fail.

Psychologist will yield a "can kill" result on the Babysitter.

If the Alien dies, the Babysitter's death will

As the day came to a close, some people wanted to investigate the ship. They managed to get the door open and they looked around the ship.

happened to walk into the engine room and investigated the strange sources of power the ship had. It only took one push to send their face into one of said energy cores. Within minutes, the only thing left of Johnny's face was a black substance that somehow looked like burnt molasses.

The day ends with the townies furiously arguing with each other. They decide to eliminate Not_Mafia; after all, they only have one chance to prevent the mafia from taking over the town. Unfortunately, that chance was wasted.

Once Not_Mafia dies, the remaining mafia members immediately subdue and kill the two remaining townies. Their bodies were never found, like the ones who died before them.

Nothing can prevent the mafia from becoming the last faction alive!

The mafia, consisting of Ydrasse, GrandpaMo and ProfessorDrapion has won!

Endgame has begun. Feel free to post in this thread, even if you died or weren't a part of the game!

Agree that it’s balanced, but I don’t think either swing mitigation technique would work. Making the lovers masons makes this town side hard, and neighbors in an open ARE masons.

Scum deserved this win and it was 100% a fair game.

I’m not going to put it forward for approved or featured status because the game is swingy and a bit niche, but it’s a fine setup as is.

setup is fine as is imo. I definitely agree that it's a bit swingy and the game turning into mountainous after night 2 was a bit of a disappointment, but scum happened to get an MD positive on the babysitter night 1 which definitely contributed to the general lack of usefulness the PRs had this game

one small change i'd maybe make is making it so that the psychologist can still get a positive on a cowardly mafioso, even if they haven't gained the ability to kill yet. but that would probably make the setup townsided and even more swingy

I might attempt a rerun of this in the future, probably with minimal to no changes. to be honest, the playerlist here kind of stole the show from the setup (in a good way)
