if you want a change in convention, have each player post an updated Vote Count in every post they change their vote.Xdaamno wrote:

Have we gotten to the point when people can no longer recognizebolded text?improvementthat reduces the work-load on mods and will likely reduce the amount of mistakes made. The fact mods should already be able to handle the stress of modding does not change the fact we should revise and improve our conventions, even if they aren't nessecary.- Adel

which is odd, since the rule set LG is using is formatted quite nicely, and looks much better on the page than most rule sets do.Simenon wrote:I don't like it because "##Vote" is hideously ugly.
I think there's an important aesthetic quality that goes into mafia, and that takes away a lot of it.
the "ugly" objection does have solutions:
see http://www.ascii.cl/htmlcodes.htm for a list of possible alternatives.
"¬" is cool because of the pun (it is the "not" symbol)
"¤¤" looks nice, as does "««" and "~~"- Adel

you should remember that exploiting voting rules is a tactic some players use, especially right before deadline. The more complicated the voting rules you use, the more room you leave for a discordian player to abuse your rules for their own devices.- Adel
