I just thought of an interesting idea. Not sure if its a good or bad idea since its never been done to my knowledge. But I think its a good idea off hand so we should discuss it

What if we pre-claim who were are gonna hypocop or inspect?

Let's say Bob is a real cop. Bob thinks Jake is scum. Jake is goon. So Jake kills them at night. Bob flips cop and we have good reason to kill Jake next day. Profit!! Probably shoot kill them or force them to use their kill if goons can kill would be obv next day play

Let's say Bob is a real cop. Bob thinks Jake is scum. Jake is town. Bob checks Jake and gets an innocent. Not really any new profit than we are already getting.

What happens if scum night kill a cop who wasn't suspecting them at all?

Jake is Town, Bob is Cop, Carl is actual Goon who NKs Bob blindly shooting to find a Cop and lucks out into framing Carl?

Yep, I somewhat recall we had that in common es. I played on Board 8 GameFaqs mafia before I even started here. For reference, I am BakusaiTenketsu, though I haven't done GFs mafia in years.

So, you are certain MurderCat is Town? You more or less are saying that with your posts passively while shading the "cop scans."

MurderCat, you said you didn't want to shoot again. However, there might be benefit in you shooting at the 24 hour mark (or after that at least). Since you can't be the Cop, you firing again keeps them masked for longer.

PEdit: I didn't play previous games, but I know the game seemed easily broken with the last setup.

Also, my play times have gone down significantly since last I played. I no longer play on Sundays (device free day in our home), and Friday nights (family night).

Inno the worst

There was very light content, including lack of hypothetical innocent claims, from several people. Definitely people lurking about, likely trying to avoid being shot.

I'm sure we're waiting for a guilty scan or a mafiosi to be dayvig'd. Until then, it'll probably just be circle jerking and ducking becoming a "wtf just happened?"

Brassherald or Echo should take the shot, but that requires going 24 hours without someone getting impatient. In theory, it would also encourage us to actually... talk... to each other. Day 4 on Page 9 is kind of "lulz."

As I understand it... add 24 hours to your timer each time you take a shot.

I don't think goons will be able to shoot, as someone else mentioned, that seems a bit OP for scum side, so I think at the very least it's safe to trust that 3 of the 4 of:
brassherald
EchoVision
T-Bone
zoraster
...are not goons and are definitely aligned with town.

If anyone is going to shoot early, please refrain from paranoia godfather hunting for now. Also... please stop shooting my inno scans on the same day >_>.

Also... MURDERCAT has the most posts in game, and he died on Day 2. For a game that requires activity every 24 hours, we have people who have less posts per day than day phases.

Currently living players with 5 posts or less (combined in the case of hugs/paradox). Elliminate zoraa, you have your choice of three slots, with DiamondSentinel being the least at 2 total posts all game.

I would like to point out that PrivateI had 3 posts and was Cop, so the other Cop could also be hiding in the lurkers to avoid aggression as well.

well don't be brassherald, don't shoot anyone until your cooldown is over

if none of those people shoot then just shoot one of them after 24 hours pass from start of day, the game is a lock

Personally, I think a town surrender is in order, I don't see a win here for town.

I was not cool with the Penguin kill on Paradox, but I wasn't around when it happened, so I just rolled with it. Town probably wins this if brassherald hadn't gotten himself killed. That death however sealed the mafia victory since it became impossible for us to lose as long as we never killed the town player with the longest vig cooldown.

My goal was to get a townie to keep vigging to ride up their cooldown and make them our endgame runs and never have scum kill if we could avoid it until endgame. I figured PrivateI was Cop by end of Day 2, and was my #1 choice of kill going into that night, but we opted for the worst instead. I figured out that Paradox was Cop 2 almost immediately upon his replace in. If everyone hadn't HypoCopped, this would have turned out much differently probably as I could totally see us scum blowing shot after shot on the wrong slots.

Don't forget to include in your worst case scenario that a cop gets teeter on Day 1 within 0.001 seconds of thread opening, and that scum night kill the other cop that night.
