I guess we'll know eventually which setup we're working with, but for now I'm going to assume there are six of each color and four black.

One thing I learned from modding this game: NEVER finalize after someone else finalizes and before the mod updates: We need to glean every bit of information we can from the mod's posts.

Players are told the color of the infiltrator but not the infiltrator's identity. Two or more infiltrators and the faction will be nullified, but no points will be given

Since we were not given the infiltrator's identity for any of the nullified factions, then there were more than 1 infiltrators in each of these factions?

Sorta. You're right insofar as there was more than 1 infiltrator in each of those nullified factions, however, additionally, had there been only 1 infiltrator we'd learn the infiltrator's color but not their name.

And . . . changing the black win condition was a big mistake. They now have the same chance to win as any other color by infiltration but have 0 chance to win by successful faction - which is the far easier way to win. LOL

I also agree that it looks like 22 was too many players. Maybe you could increase the player base but keep the number required to start a faction the same - I'm not sure there was a need to increase that.

When we get even one person confirmed as a color (in my example I will use my own color)

Example:

D - yellow

Given the above player list, six needed to win in a faction. Player C is a logically confirmed blue player and this is public knowledge.

Player C makes 12 blue factions. All blues (and those claiming blue) join all of them. Player C makes these arrangements:

The problem is that this game relies heavily on the mod, and it seems Wizardcat has abandonded it (along with half the players).

We could enforce a new kind of "mode" a player can be in, Autojoin: Blue - means you'll join ANY blue-accepting faction automatically. What say you, Wiz?

The way that I would handle this would be like this:
