Pff, let's not tell the assassin how we're going to WIFOM them.

Now, if you look at the last AITP game, and it's reset, it shows that random speedlynching is
not
the optimal strategy here. It is good that we don't want to give the assassin any information, but the more guards we kill before we hit the assassin, the greater chance the assassin has of killing the king on his vengeful kill.

In the last AITP game, the town did not lose because they gave out too much information. They lost because they managed to lynch everybody except the assassin and the king.

In the reset of it, the town nailed the assassin Day 2, because they noticed the scum-tells he dropped, not because he was a random candidate for a lynch.

Policy lynching is bad in this game, because it tells the assassin exactly what we're doing.

Armlx, making a no discussion policy won't make idiots stop being idiots. In the game you mentioned, the town was still able to spill out who the Kings were even though JDodge had that strict lynch-lynch-lynch policy set in place.

The problem we need to avoid is explaining our votes. We have to trust our own judgment, and the rest of the town to see what we see. If we tell the scum what he did wrong, then that'll help him very much in identifying the king. That's how the scum won the large game.

Just say "Vote: so-and-so" and tell everyone to read their posts. It worked in the last Open Setup of this.

Also note that the mini AITP is different than the large AITP. Speedlynching there had a higher chance of hitting scum, and more players that they had to read/could slip up.

I don't know, but I've read both of Rishi's AITP games and I know that they managed to make the game work without killing all discussion. I agree with a lot of the theory that PokerFace and Korlash said during those games.

What you're suggesting resembles JDodge's outlook on the game.

By "without reasoning," I mean "withhold your reasoning if it involves the identity of the king." If the town revealed their suspicions of MCD, then that wouldn't have been good.

One thing I want to point out:

Lynching someone because "they've been outed as a non-king" is not good. We should only lynch people that we think are likely to be the assassin, since guards (even if they've been "outed,") can give their own perceptions and votes. Add that to the WIFOM factor, and it's pretty cool.

I didn't want to say that yesterday because I liked the armlx wagon and I didn't want to stall it.

I liked it meaning that I thought he had a good chance of being the assassin.

Vote: Bulvox
. He must feel lonely without any vote yet.

Nobody here is outed as a guard. For all we know, armlx could have been WIFOMing.

I only have four votes, actually.

But that sorta means I'm not the king.

And guys, quit it with this "2 votes means DIE!" crap. Armlx isn't god, you know. That policy restricts our ability to use WIFOM, and that's really our only weapon against the scum. And
NEVER
say that someone isn't the king. Feel free to drop fake suspicions on the king as well as other people, etc.

I guess I'll die now.

Good job, neko. I was hoping that the town dropped enough fake wolf-is-the-king tells that you'd kill him, but alas.

And armlx, I despise your strategy for this game. But I'm sure you know that.
