I know that there is a beastmaster in the "tactics ogre" game series.

I'm guessing he had hounds or lions he could have loosed on people in the night either to track, block or kill.

Well I wasn't in the guests quarters if that's what you are implying. I can tell you where I was but I don't see any pressing reason to.

you know what - in the spirit of getting some discussion going i will tell you where I was:

I was in the village inn.

It's a pity we didn't name claim when we were asked to. Generally they just don't help much but we actually could have (basically) confirmed some towns.

Role seems alright to me. Believable and so far no one has contradicted his "clues".

Is there anything else you would like to ask us sekinj that may lead to finding scum?

This would be good if one was definately scum but for some reason I get the feeling this may not be the case.

I don't think the binary equation is going to work in this one. Doesn't anyone smell something fishy?

Why would sekinj claim something that could so obviously be countered if he was scum?
If he just said 9 out of 11 people had no night abilities then no single town on their own would have been able to prove him wrong.

Why would ogml lie about not having an ability therefore proving sekinj wrong when he will obviously be lynched if sekinj turns up town?

It just doesn't make sense no matter how you look at it.

I agree, but then why would omgl lie - that just means death when sekinj turns up town.

Why would a scum sacrifice themself for someone who has claimed "vanilla with info" and has given us most of the info?

The only thing that makes any sense IF one of them is scum is that sekinj is the scum and he made the claim to root out vanilla claims so that scum would have better odds of hitting roles. But that still is a pretty poor reason to sacrifice yourself as scum.

Guys, I'm a vanilla townie with flavorful frills. If you really think that as scum I would counterclaim what is essentially also a vanilla with a twist claim from sekinj, on day one, then go ahead and help lynch me for that. But you're either scum or not thinking this through clearly at all.

If what sekinj said were true, then every single other person in this game is a better target for a scum counterclaim. Every single one.

So do you still think that sekinj is definitely scum or that there might be another explanation?

I would like to hear more, too. Currently, OGML looks to be the best lynch candidate, and I would love for him to give me some solid reason to believe him.

I really don't like how you are pushing the "binary choice".

@ mariyta: what posts in particular are hard for you to understand. I am tending to agree with raver here in that just because you can't understand someone it doesn't make them scum.

We know definitely that one of them is lying. Figuring out which one is lying is a herculean feat in itself because it seems that even they do not know which one of them is lying. Meaning either one or both of them are scum or some of the information that they've been given is false, which is also bad for the town.

I severely doubt both are scum.

@ rage: thank you for drawing attention to the fact that you were doing the same thing as mariyta, in fact to an even greater degree.

however the very fact that you did call attention to this, and the fact that mariyta is more experienced (I expect someone like her not to simply go for the easy option of the "binary choice" in hope of a safe lynch) means that I'm still leaning towards her.
