the f/i combining is just a natural thing the font did

both of those are in the IBM Plex family btw. just wanted to choose a simple Google font with enough variety in its family options to stand out against each other

idk if i like the tie, it doesn't have much apparent symbolism to me

also i would really rather drop the tagline from the site altogether. "a mob has formed" is still pretty, well, problematic to me

yeah -- i think "a mob has formed" immediately brings up a lynchmob, and it's the first thing people will see on the site. i'd def prefer it not in our logo
