Baseless setup speculation is obviously the way to go here...
Chances are that the potatoes have various triggers such as time (potato explodes after X hours), passes (potato explodes after it has been passed X times), or other completely unrelated things...
I personally want to see "Potato explodes if anyone says the name of the person holding it".-

Also, there is no guarantee thatTDC wrote:Also, even if we all think Player X is scum, how do we force him to keep the potato?allthe potatoes in play will explode. The rules state that the day will end once all the bombs rigged to go off go off. It confirms that, while there is Day, there isat leastone potato that will explode, but no more...-

The three potatoes and their carriers remain intact.
No-one else does.
It is now Day 2.
Indeed. It won't be easy to make anything happen the way we want it to, but I think the players' potato passing patterns will play a particularly prominent part in working out who's scum.Wizardcat wrote:This is going to be a pain, the no way to keep potatoes on people we want gone, as scum will be able to theoretically toss potatoes away at the right time if we manage to discover the exploding mechanism.-

The fact that it is possible is not equivalent to "a strong possibility", so no, it isn't.Battle Mage wrote:
isnt the fact that it is possible enough? 0.oM4yhem wrote:Battle Mage wrote: Erm what? Haven't we already concluded that there is a strong possibility that some potatoes may explode after a certain number of tosses?
We haven't concluded anything because we have no evidence, since none of the potatos have exploded. Until we've tested the idea that a number of tossess=bang there's no reason to believe it.-

I've changed my forum clock to match the actual time over here, but yeah, it's pretty clear that the potato exploded at the same time as the pass.Korts wrote:
I don't think you need to convert that to match it to the forum clock. Check q21's post where he tossed it to Skruffs, and the timestamp. It's 4:18.somestrangeflea wrote:
I'm having trouble converting this. For comparison reasons, could someone tell me the length of time between the above mentioned time and the timestamp of this post. Thank you.PJosarian2 wrote:Skruffs, Potato Factory Worker, Townie, has been killed by a Russet Potato at 4:18 Central District Time.-

I still think this game is being taken too seriously.-

Voting patterns are only useful in a standard Mafia game because votes are a mechanic of the game which make a person more likely to die.
In this game, that factor has been removed, leaving voting patterns completely and utterly pointless to analyse because scum are completely free to vote for each other if they want because there is no risk of them dieing as a result.-

So I did some research.
Turns out Yams and Sweet Potatoes are actually the same thing. Also:
Crazy -> BM -> armlx -> kuribo -> TSS -> kuribo -> TSS -> kuribo -> armlx -> kuribo -> TSS -> kuribo -> armlx -> kuribo -> TSS -> kuribo -> armlx
It goes on the 16th pass, from the looks of things.
M4yhem -> Riceballtail -> q21 -> somestrangeflea
13 passes till someone dies.
YAM! TO TSS!
And now 12.-
