End of Day 1 Vote Count:

Joubert (8): roflcopter, forbiddanlight, orangepenguin, mik5, Snix, Eldritch Lord, Alabaska J, Geddingsworth

ChubbsMcLubbs (1): somestrangeflea
roflcopter (1): Joubert
No Lynch (1): ChubbsMcLubbs

Not Voting (3): armlx, Scigatt, Sun Tzu

---

"You are totally scum!"

"No, you are!"

"No, he is!"

"No, that tree over there is!"

Clearly in a hysterical state, the remaining members of the town and the slightly more malicious amongst them debated and argued over who they thought were the mafiates. After some yelling and some logic and some more yelling, eventually a majority of the people there formed a lynch mob. They locked onto their target. Joubert did what any sensible person would do in a situation. He hauled ass out of there.

Unfortunately, however, he tripped in a manner not unlike the horror movie cliche and he was unable to prevent his own lynching. The mob quickly made their way to his place of residence and feverishly searched for the evidence they thought would be there, linking him to one of the two mafias.

They found none.

---

Joubert, Vanilla Townie, Lynched Day 1.

It is now Night 1. Mafias, Bodyguard, have your choices sent to me within 120 hours.

A figure stealthily made his way through the shadows, obviously on the lookout for any movement. Cautiously, he moved as quickly and silently as he could, taking the shortcut through an alley. He was halfway through it when he felt something impact upon his skull from behind. Ow. Falling to the ground and quickly rolling to his feet, he noticed the two masked people that had been waiting for him. One of them raised their weapon and fired (iced?) upon the man.

He quickly leaped to the side, dodging the wintry spray. Knowing he had no chance of fleeing successfully, he charged the closest one, preforming a masterful kick to the assailant's weapon, dislodging it from their grip. The other mafiate hesitated here, wary of hitting his partner. They leaped forward to help in the ensuing scuffle and helped repel their target far enough away for a clear shot. They didn't miss.

The frozen statue was moved to the square so that the town would see it when they gathered again in the morning. They quickly made their way back, not wanting to be seen by anyone who had been attracted by the noisy encounter.

somestrangeflea, Bodyguard,
Frozen
Night 1.

It is now Day 2. With twelve people alive, it takes seven to lynch.

Woah, woah, woah! What is the DEAL with this magical Chubbwagon here? I mean, we were wrong about Jou, shouldn't we be taking this time to, yanno, reexamine our logic? Also, would like to know why rofl and Snix were FoS'd?

Also, I think we should speculate on whether we think bodyguard died saving or was killed directly.

Attention all: Bodyguard is just my term for Doctor. The Fire and Ice Setup says as such.

Also, what happened to the fire kill? MAybe I misunderstood the set up, but I thought there were two kills per night? I guess it's not told if a kill is nullified?

Yeah, the fire kill either hit the doc's target or an Ice mafioso. Although I don't see the point on speculating which it was since there's no way to ever know for sure.

The only reason I was speculating was because I didn't know if a failed kill was revealed. I was hoping to get some information from intended targets. Clearly that's not going to happen, and thinking on it, it makes sense for balance. However, it is good to have only one scum inflicted kill since that buys us time. I don't like the fact that you and Alabaska just rushed right in with Chubbs votes without reexamining the case. Also, I want to know more about why Ala FoS'd those two, regardless of who they were.

Quick thoughts:

Considering what happened, I don't think that Chubbs is Ice scum(Nothing so far can be said about whether he is Fire scum). I just don't think it's likely that a hypothetical(?) Icescum-Chubbs would off ssf(this depends on his hypothetical partner, of course). I think it's much more likely that the Ice Mafia were trying to frame Chubbs with this kill.

Also, I'm really starting to be suspicious of Geddingsworth. Along with what rofl said, he suddenly changed his vote to hammer rather suddenly. He's been rather light on the explanations too.

Vote: Geddingsworth

How does killing SSF make Chubbs look responsible for the kill?

SSF was the only person voting Chubbs at the end of day 1. The whole problem with the arguement is majorly WIFOM.

My vote on Chubbs is basically a place-holder, as I enter the day with him as my biggest suspect from the carry-over. Gedd gets the PoS for the oops comment, which is now upgraded to an
FoS: Geddingsworth
now that I realized he hammered. rofl gets an FoS as I think he rushed Joubert when Chubbs was a better lynch. mik5 gets an FoS because, after a reread, his vote on Joubert was the most opportunistic IMO.

The bodyguard may have saved the correct person at night one or the fire mafia may have attacked a member of the ice mafia. As stated before, there are too many possibilities to derive a conclusion.

Geddingsworth, I don't mind if you FOS me, but give me an explanation. You also didn't give an explanation why you changed your FOS.

And to Alabaska, I concede that I was too eager to vote Joubert. (not that I was alone), but when you say that Chubbs was a better lynch I completely disagree. Hindsight is always 20/20 and you only say that he was a better lynch because of the fact that Joubert was found to be a townie. Chubbs looked just as scummy as Joubert at the time, so it is pointless to speculate on what we should have done. If we learned anything from our last mistake, we shouldn't start an immediate bandwagon against Chubbs.

I consistently said yesterday that chubbs was a better lynch. This has nothing to do with Joubert flipping town at all.

I am happy with a mik5 lynch at this point also, but currently will keep my vote on chubbs until he posts.

So apparently my being incorrect about Joubert makes me scum? BTW, how do you know that Chubbs is still a better lynch? He could be just as townie as Joubert was, and from his posts it sure seems so. I refuse to start an immediate bandwagon against Chubbs before he has said a word.

No, I never said that. Your posting yesterday in relation to the wagon makes you scummy.

It was a reason others had given before you, just reworded, so it doesn't matter all that much if it is reasonable or not.
