Time Capsule Mafia

Twelve friends on a hike unearth something that will change their lives forever -- a strange metal box fitted with 10 mechanical time capsules set to open every January 1 for 10 years. With a reward of great riches, they suddenly begin to suspect the worst...

~~~~~
Very Special Notes
:
1.)
This game is
No-Reveal
; deaths will not reveal role, and deaths will not reveal alignment. If you are not comfortable with this, please do not sign up.
2.)
Some players in the game will be given items which can be placed in time capsules during the night. This includes sheets of paper -- players can write on them, place them in a capsule, and the paper will revealed on the correct day (i.e. whatever capsule you place it in). One example of an advantage of this: an investigative role has a way to reveal their investigations without openly claiming their role in the game. There are clearly other advantages.
3.)
Day One will last a maximum of three weeks; all Days afterwards will last two weeks. I really (
really really really
) hate finding replacements -- I might just decide to modkill you if you ask to be replaced (or I feel you need replacing) just to keep the game running. Keep this in mind while signing up. I want active players who will post.
/in to mod
I'm considering another No Reveal type game (perhaps a partial reveal); have not yet decided on the exact set-up, but it will definitely be ready when my turn comes to mod.
"Three hundred and forty-eight years, six months, and nineteen days ago to-day, the Parisians awoke to the sound of all the bells in the triple circuit of the city, the university, and the town ringing a full peal."
And so begins the tale of the Hunchback of Notre Dame. Come one! Come all! The Feast of Fools awaits you.
This game is based off the novel
The Hunchback of Notre Dame
by Victor Hugo.
~~~~~

This is a semi-open game. This game will have nine townspeople, two mafia, and one traitor, for a total of twelve players. The town wins when both mafia are dead and one townsperson is still alive.

The town will have one [1], two [2] or three [3] roles from the following list in any combination: Cop [Sane or Insane], 1-Shot Vigilante, 2-Shot Role-Blocker, Doctor.

The mafia and traitor combined will have zero [0] or one [1] role from the following list: 1-Shot Vigilante, 2-Shot Role-Blocker, Doctor.

Mafia deaths will be revealed only as "Mafia." Town deaths will be revealed only as "Town." The traitor death will be revealed as "Town."

Note
: The Traitor will always investigate as "Town."

Looks like my game is coming up soon, so:

Notre Dame Mafia

Based off the wonderful board game, Notre Dame, this will be a mafia game with a twist. Everybody has a stack of the same nine roles; and throughout the game you will draft for which roles you get to use as the game progresses. In so doing, everybody will have an action of some sort every night.

But beware! There may come a time when you must choose between a role
you
want to use and a role you simply do not want passed to the next player! Plan ahead, and use your head... or you'll lose your head. Ultimately, you choose your own fate.

Edit: Please wait until this game is actually up for sign-ups before signing up! Due to the abnormal amount of interest I've received (both in-thread and by PM) in such a short time-span, I am
not
accepting pre/ins. My apologies, but I would rather a game not fill up before it is actually ready for sign-ups.

Further Edit: This game requires
activity
during nights. If you are V/LA during a drafting night (Night 0, Night 3, and Night 5), you probably will
not
be happy with the results, because I will not be extending night for you, and will instead be randomizing your choices.

I think I will ask that my mini theme be held off time-wise: I think February 1 would be appropriate, so I will have time to settle back down into school.
