what i do as offense symmetra is play really really offensively for a minute or two to rack up ultimate charge, while setting up turrets in a side room further behind where the defense is camping (you'll be able to find one, almost always). set up the teleporter there so you can instantly flank them, and defend it with your life and short-range weapon (the longer it connects to someone, the stronger it gets - after 2-3 secs, 120 dps)

I mainly play Symmetra but I've been addicted to watching Zenyatta videos and want to learn him today because his damage output is so much higher than I expected too. I think I just like the idea of Support heroes playing really aggro.

symmetra's damage is too good
friends and i last night ran symmetra+zenyatta. insane damage output for supports (gold medal with ~13000 dmg done!!!!) and kept things in check with the orbofdiscord+sentryturret combo *heart eyes*. rly good winrates too.

i only leftclick with zen (unless peeking corners on turrets/bastion/snipers) because he can shoot 3 orbs a second anyway. he's such a ridiculous glass cannon

biggest pet peeve even in groups
is how ppl have the nerve to yell at me to switch to the healer they want
when they as tracer or genji or hanzo or widow mains get to play whoever they want
if you want another healer then freaking switch yourself. you're the ones rushing off in all directions for kills and leaving me alone on the payload to die anyway

even when they try to be polite with "i don't think [x] is the right healer for this push"
90% of the time it's 1 of 2 flankers/snipers saying that
who don't switch because yup we need 2 perma-flankers or mmhmm we need 2 snipers
and it's super duper ironic considering they're never contributing to the push itself anyway!!!!!!

[2 {atk, def} / 2 tank / 2 support] is a good team composition that i've gotten more wins with than the [4 {atk, def} / 1 tank / 1 support] that almost always pops up instead
if you're one of the 4 atk/def don't demand that i play for you as support. i'm not here just to help your killstreak. i'm playing for the team and i won't be offended if you decide i need some help.

there are so many conventional shooters out there that i'm honestly kind of perplexed as to why you think this game should become more like them. likewise for individualist games whereas this is team based (promotes playing w/ friends).
i think the calling card of this game is not only that each character brings such a different control style and playstyle that mixes the content up a lot, but that for players like me and other gamers who otherwise aren't really into the fps/arena-ish types of games it feels like less of a nichey or hardcorey battle game. really bad wording there but it's like. lighter brighter subject matter with more welcoming vibes and whatever and i know for me and a bunch of my uni friends who've been turned off from LoL and DOTA stuff, this is a pretty great entry level game.
of course it'll get more complex later on but for now blizzard's done really well at creating an environment where the main gameplay doesn't just look like "guy with bullet gun kills enemies, war war war" and i think there's a really nice kind of success in that

had such a good zarya game today @_@ was going to the second checkpoint of route 66 at 12-0 with 78% avg energy until a junkrat ult. but like. i've never felt more helpful to a team than throwing perfect rmbs to kill the enemy genji right before he reaches that healthpack. 4 times.
my team was just as great and took advantage of graviton surges to regroup and like. i finally had a good zarya game. i want to get so much better with this character

reaper is pretty much a hard counter to tanks in general, but zarya is your best bet due to her slightly thinner frame and shields. just get good with aiming your m2 and get him on the retreat

no it just took an estimated average between 0 and 2094 because unranked for some reason counts as near-zero

In post 628, PokerFace wrote:A summoner would be more of a new endevor than ideas we have so far
i mean this is kind of exactly why blizzard would do it - they've stated they want diversity of characters to reflect different ways different people play
they wouldn't want to just introduce another character with already-present abilities like wallhacks

I'm new to esports but the US vs SK match was amazingly entertaining. Lots of great clutch plays and last-10-second upsets all around. https://go.twitch.tv/videos/187486679
