Spoiler: Finished playthrough 2

So after I got incredibly upset about the end of playthrough 1, I talked with a friend about it and decided to play through the game again. I got the Pacifist Ending, and was very satisfied. I still believe that the "transition" between playthrough 1 and 2 is really badly designed, but I sort of understand what he was going for. It was just very clunky after the first game crash up until the second playthrough started.

I can't enjoy Your Best Nightmare after how much I hated that section of the game.

My point was that Claus's irritation at the last boss getting easier with your failures.

Oh, just to be clear. I am not irritated at the fact that the boss gets easier. I was irritated that it got easier TOO fast.

I totally see the narrative reasoning, I just thought it could be done in a more mechanically satisfying fashion.

Well, I was about 1 attempt from ragequitting in frustration and not even finishing one playthrough of the game, so I think they balanced it about as finely as they could.

Oh absolutely. He's still great.

I'll probably buy Yellow, been forever since I've played it and I really enjoyed it.

IIRC, Yellow was an Ash-centric version of R/B, so you had a pikachu that followed you and couldn't evolve, instead of the "final" Rocket mooks there was Jesse, James and meowth, you could acquire all the starters at various points throughout the main story. Additionally I think most sprites were changed, some movesets were changed, and some pokemon locations were modified.

No yeah I know, but I'm saying it doesn't really add anything. For me at least, RB but more like the anime isn't really a big deal. Crystal etc added more neat stuff.

Sure. I just want the nostalgia, and I preferred Yellow to R/B even if that's solely because you can get all the starters

And with Undertale having beaten Melee I can't even place a vote in this next one. OoT and SMRPG are both the best game ever. I think it ends here.

OOT is a fine game, but it's nowhere near the best game of all time, and might not even make top 5 LoZ games.

top 5 LoZ is some combination of Majora's Mask, Wind Waker, Link Between Worlds, Minish Cap, and we can throw in one of Link's Awakening/Link to the Past for good measure

I have the Oracle series above Link's Awakening for sure, and also above Minish Cap. Oracle of Ages/Seasons were incredible.

(note: im almost done with Wind Waker so this is subject to change as I hear a very frustrating portion of the game is coming up near the end)

Yes, it's frustrating, but it's also a good way to let you see parts of the world you might not have otherwise.
