I like Jeskai Ascendancy. Tap my creatures to play Triplicate Spirits/Stoke the Flames, then they untap and get bigger? Hell yes, I'm onboard with that.

I feel like you can maybe cut a Ghostfire Blade and run 3/2 Lightning Strike/Magma Jet, but maybe the Scry is better since the deck is combo-y.
SB should probably include counterspells (Negate etc), maybe 2 Angers (even if they have the possibility to kill your own stuff), 1-2 Keranos for grindy matchups, one-of Chandra in the board can work maybe. I dunno. List looks fun though.
I think I want the 7/5 split just to make sure I hit early Chief/Ensouls. Losing a Ghostfire for 2 Lightning Strike is a solid idea.
Sideboard-wise, I like Negate/Anger, and maybe a Chandra, but I think Keranos just falls over the line of being too slow for this. I'd kill for a Faithless Looting variant, tbh. Tormenting Voices maybe?

So Melira Pod is really fun to play. Finally managed to grind/sell enough to get the whole thing on MTGO (Windswept Heaths over Misty Rainforests, though I need to wait for Khans to actually make that work). I've so far played 5 games on MTGO with it tonight. Played one against WUR Geist, and 4 against 8Rack, which is apparently a big thing now? I'm 4-1 currently. Dropped one to 8Rack because I'm new and missed a line of play that would have let me combo out.

I expected a ton of Robots/Burn/Fish, but I didn't expect that much Tron/8Rack. Gonna up the Obstinate Baloths and maybe toss in a Sigarda against 8Rack. Pod up to Sigarda and they have literally no answer to it. Baloths are also hilarious against Turn 1 Raven's Crime.

Hey Shea, are you still buying up VMA Power? I impulse-bought a VMA pack while buying my prerelease tag and opened an Ancestral Recall (also a Berserk, but that's less exciting)

I'd say DRS because that card is actually pretty solid against Treasure Cruise, but then we run into BGx v UR Delver v Jeskai Ascendency v Burn and that does not sound like a fun metagame!
Ascendency should be banned, though. I dunno. I've watched a couple pros play the deck now and it is probably just busted. It draws though the deck at such a rate that bolting a bird doesn't work(if they don't just play Caryatid), plays seven copies of Ascendency so you can easily get them. Mana dorks get around Blood Moon, Wishboard lets it get through any sort of hate. I usually try to be lenient on bans, but this deck is way too strong. It's kinda a shame, because I like the deck.
I'm fully expecting Jeskai Ascendancy to get banned out in January if it starts consistently putting up results like it appears to. Either it or Glittering Wish will get the boot, I think.

So I'm trying a new thing out for Pod. Basically cut the Melira combo pieces (Melira, Viscera Seer, and Ranger of Eos) for disruption in the form of Thoughtseize and MD Entomber Exarch, and a bit more midrangey goodness from an Anafenza, the Foremost. Results so far have been pretty positive, but I'm not sure if this maindeck is optimal, or if I'm missing really key sideboard cards.

I really love watching the variety of this standard so far. Combo, Control, Aggro, and Midrange are all coming out in force so far, and that makes me happy.

So thanks to Todd Anderson's deck tech at the PT, I'm planning to put this together:
4 Ornithopter
4 Phyrexian Revoker
4 Ghostfire Blade
4 Springleaf Drum
4 Ensoul Artifact
4 Hero of Iroas
4 Heliod's Pilgrim
1 Ajani Steadfast
4 Gods Willing
4 Stratus Walk
1 Spectra Ward
1 Singing Bell Strike
4 Darksteel Citadel
4 Flooded Strand
4 Temple of Enlightenment
2 Mana Confluence
4 Island
3 Plains
SB: 4 Master of Waves
SB: 4 Stubborn Denial
SB: 3 Suspension Field
SB: 2 Erase
SB: 1 Ordeal of Heliod
SB: 1 Mortal Obstinacy
It looks really fun, and can definitely win enough to be worth it. Not sure if it's better than the Red version with Shrapnel Blast, but Heliod's Pilgrim is super good.

There's always douchebags, just some of them who are more visible than others
If you want to play the game, but don't want to deal with the dickbags who play, there's the Duels of the Planeswalkers series on Steam/Android, and Magic Online. I play on MTGO almost exclusively right now, because I'm living in the absolute middle of nowhere, and it's the methadone to my cardboard heroin addiction.

The deck I posted at the bottom of the last page would cost about $150ish to put together, and most of that is held up in Flooded Strand/Temple of Enlightenment. Strands aren't thoroughly needed either, though they help the deck a TON.
Edit: It's also a deck that one of the Pros took to the Pro Tour last weekend. It's definitely good enough for FNM/Standard Dailies online.

Cut the Blinding Flare for more Stoke the Flames/Lightning Strike. Flare isn't really a great card unless you're already ahead on board, and more removal would have the same effect.

Speaking as a Melira Pod player, Treasure Cruise is the card I least want to see right now. The thing's just insanely good, to the point that I'm wondering what I can run that'll actually shut it down without being dead 90% of the time.

Sealed PTQ or Draft?
Also, 5c in this format is not nearly as bad as other formats. I've drafted 4 and 5c decks perfectly fine because of the hilarious amount of fixing available.
I played a total of 20 games over the night. Of those, 16 were against almost identical UR Delver lists. Treasure Cruise has done gross things to the Online meta.

I can't remember if the Umbrella Revolution list was the same as the one I was looking at. Was Umbrella the one with only one Altar of the Brood, or was it the Twinflame one?

I hear Card Kingdom is the best in the area, but that's only through places like Reddit, so take that how you will. I think Starcitygames is also headquartered there, so that might be worth checking out.
They used to fire all the draft pods at once, which was usually about 6-10 depending on the number of people, now they fire them as they fill up, which typically means that roughly 12 pods fire over the course of the night.
I've never had a Draft FNM more than 20 or so people. Standard might break 40 on a good week, if the format is newer.

The past 26 games I've played in Modern 8-man/Daily/Tournament Practice rooms have had 23 against decks running Treasure Cruise. I'm currently debating figuring out a blue splash for Pod so I can run Remand out of spite.

Yep. Snapcaster/Fetches make the deck cost about 300ish tix, compared to 400ish for Pod and 110 for Burn. I'm not even sure I enjoy playing Modern online right now because of how many Delver decks I play against. Playing against the same deck every single game is really fucking boring.
