So I want to start playing HS more. I have all the free decks unlocked (except Shaman and Warlock because I can not win with them for whatever reason). I liked Mage and Rogue the most. Which ones should I be building with, and crafting towards?
What I mean is, does Rogue get better as you add more cards, or is it all Mage and Priest all the time?

I just don't really like the Zoo list. Hunter is definitely an option though. That said, my heart tells me to play fringe-y bad decks and see how good I can get with them, so I'm just going to build the Neutrals first and see where it leads.

So I decided to try and make a decent Mage deck. Found a cheap list online that I could make by disenchanting all my non-Mage cards. So far, moved up to Rank 23 with very little resistance.

Cracked the three GvG packs I had. Pulled a gold Ancestor's Call to go with the literally no Shaman cards I have, so I'm probably going to Dust it for Mage cards. Feels bad Dusting gold cards though.

MechaMage is fairly cheap to build too, and the most expensive card (Archmage Antonidas) happens to also be an incredibly good card for Mage decks, so the Dust isn't wasted.

So I've hit Rank 14, and I'm coming up against a Druid deck that's beating me senseless. It's a control deck that's mostly just heals, and both-players-draw cards to run me out of cards. It feels like a really strong deck, but I haven't seen it anywhere. Am I just missing it? What do I need to do to beat it?

I feel stuck on MechaMage right now because of that. Tried moving to a Hunter Beast list and a Shaman Mech list and dropped from 14-16, and then went on a 7-game winning spree with MechaMage again. Landing Antonidas+Cloakfield off a Clockwork Golem is insane.
I'm trying to put together a Druid list I saw on Brian Kibler's stream, but I'm missing Cenarius, 2 Hobgoblins, and The Black Knight, so I imagine I won't get to play that deck any time soon.
I had Dr Boom for a while because the card is hilarious, but I ended up cutting it for Loatheb just to have something cheap that slows down my opponent. I'm considering running Sylvanas, Harrison Jones, or Toshley, but I don't have them or anywhere close to enough spare Dust.

Naxxramas is a ton of fun, fwiw. The Class Challenges are really interesting too (except Hunter, where you get a deck of 30 Web Spinners against Loatheb. Pray to RNGesus beforehand)

So I decided to follow HearthArena for a draft. Stuck to what it suggested, ended up 0-3. Literally my worst performance ever. Felt like I just never saw relevant cards at all.

Okay, so the 0-3 Arena run pack had an Antonidas in it, so now I have enough Dust to craft a new Legend. Suggestions? I currently have Antonidas, Dr Boom, and Leeroy.
EDIT: Changed my mind on crafting a Legend. Crafted everything I needed for Hobgoblin Druid. Got to live the dream turn 1: Innervate, Innervate, Coin, Hobgoblin, Echoing Ooze, Argent Squire.
I'm running this list:
except I'm running either an Enhance-o-Mechano or a Kel'Thuzad instead of Cenarius, since I don't have the Dust.

I really love this Druid deck, but not having Cenarius is actually killing my win percentage. I swapped in a Stormwind Champion to get the closest to his effect, but there have been 5 separate games so far where having the +2/+2 of Cenarius would have won me the game on the spot, and I ended up losing instead. I'm at 0 dust too, adn I really don't want to chase Cenarius through buying packs

Dude, Hobgoblin Druid is a shitload of fun. I posted the decklist on the last page. Uses Boom, Cenarius, and Loatheb as the only Legendaries, and a ton of cheap cards.

I've got a weird Kel'Thuzad Priest deck that I'm dicking around with. Turns out having Feugen/Stalagg with Kel'Thuzad is strong. Also Cairne Bloodhoof and Dr Boom. Recurring Boom Bots is disgusting.

It's still a really strong card. It's a 1/2 that gets value from literally any creature in a Zoo deck. This nerf seems perfect for making Hunter not quite as powerful while still leaving Undertaker as a strong 1-drop for Deathrattle themes.

Ugh. I lost to Jaraxxus yesterday. Had him at 1 as Mage, but was 1 mana shy of Fireblasting him for lethal. Both of us are emptyhanded, and then I hear YOU FACE JARAXXUS, ELDAR LORD OF THE BURNING LEGION, and lost fairly soon after.
I swear I'm going to just start picking cards I think are bad because EVERY TIME I am super happy with a draft, I go like 0-3 and get destroyed.
I tried this exact strategy and went 3-3. This is after I went 1-3 with a deck that had a great curve, a Faceless Manipulator, a Sneed's Old Shredder, a Foe Reaper 4000, and a bunch of other good Druid stuff (and 3 Innervates)

So I threw this together after realizing I love basically every card in it. It's pretty great, but I'm trying to figure out what I could improve on. I'm something like 15-1 so far in Ranked, so I'm up to R14

Is there a better feeling than an opponent adding you after a game to tell you how you "only won because you got lucky" and should "enjoy being a scrub"?
My new favourite response is "Thanks, I'm really happy I won too"
Incidentally, I'm probably swapping out the Unbound Elementals for Spider Tanks, just for extra Mech synergy

I kinda like the FIrebat list a lot more after watching it a bit onstream. The Controlly elements on my original folded pretty hard to MechaMage (or I was playing it wrong)

I find that Druid has a really good matchup against it. Wrath hits Mechwarper nicely, taunt dudes like Druid of the Claw and Ironbark Protector deal with everything else, and you just outright win lategame if they don't hit Antonidas.
The only legendary cards are boom and loatheb both of which are insanely good standalone cards that get played in everything. No epics here.
Zombie chow, snap jaw, stampeding kodo and explosive /snake trap could replace similar counterparts that you don't have off the top of my hrad. Also rag, cairne, sylvanas could replace boom.
I hate how much I love this deck. It's everything I dislike, but it's so much fun to play (and also carried me up 6 ranks so far)

Yeah, there's a fuckload of Oil Rogues running around right now (I'm at about R13). I'm usually playing Paladin Midrange or Ramp Druid right now, and I feel like a champion ata the Oil Rogue matchup

I really like Thalnos, but I play Oil Rogue, and he's super good in that list. Jaraxxus has the best voiceover in the game, Antonidas will push your MechMage to entirely new heights, and Harrison is really strong in the current meta.
Tbh, I think I'd recommend The Black Knight over Harrison. Sludge Belcher and Annoy-o-Tron are ubiquitous, and being able to murder them and leave behind a 4/5 is really nice.

3 (maybe 4) out of 9 classes use weapons consistently, and even then they don't always have one up, so Harrison is just sort of useless in those matches, where The Black Knight has at least one Neutral, heavily used target (Belcher), and one incredibly common deck with a cheap target (Annoy-o-tron). I think it's up to you, really.

In post 1697, Iecerint wrote:Why would Harrison have unique synergy with certain classes when its utility is based mainly on the opponent?
It doesn't have synergy with classes you play, it has synergy based on what the most common matchups are. For example, I'm at Rank 12 right now. I played for about two hours today, and I came up against Mech Mage and Druid a LOT. In both of those matchups, Harrison is useless, while The Black Knight is incredible, so for me where I am, I would craft TBK 100% of the time.

I enjoyed it because it was stupid and cheesy, not for any skill aspect. Sometimes you just want to throw 30 Unstable Portals at RNGesus and see what sticks, you know?
