I don't think we have far to explore to get new nether chunks. We're all relatively close together with our builds.

The problem with Portal guns is that when you make portals, it loads all the chunks the portals exist in twice, which if done too much will cause some major crashing problems. At least I was experiencing lag while Klaz was playing with it last night.

Yea Klaz still lag hours later. So much lag that it immediately crashes FTB and I can't get back on anymore.

Well the problem probably is we got so many chunks loaded at once. The Quarry loads all the chunks it's using, and now so does the World Anchor. Plus the Portal Guns load all chunks they are in twice...plus all the entities we've got running in the spawner and the quarry. We've got a lot going on at once.

Honestly I like the idea of everyone getting like 2 or 3 things if they want, otherwise they go fresh. Truthfully I only need the single diamond so I can immediately make a Twilight portal. This time I want to do all my dealings in Twilight. The Solar Helmet would be nice for obvious reasons...and well I got so accustomed to the Travelers Boots that moving around without them is painfully slow now.

It's gonna be hard to start fresh as it is when we've amassed so much in this time.

World generation has changed quite a bit since we originally generated the world, so I don't think it can be duplicated anymore, since it's a conglomeration of a couple of methods of world generation as you move away from spawn.

I lag greatly when mobs attack me, raising the difficulty would make it impossible for me to play. Because of the lag spike I get when I take damage, encounters with a single skeleton are deadly, because essentially I am frozen in the same place while my game tries to catch up.

Also, I just want to build. There are ways to make mobs more difficult on easy. Like go to Twilight. They'll fuck your day up if you're not prepared.

I wouldn't mind a harder difficulty on the Vanilla server though.

Also Tierce, I shut the spawner off by filling the room with torches, removing them will turn the spawner back on. Doing this has greatly reduced the lag on the server though.

I don't think anyone has ever once asked you to remove them. At most you've been asked to limit them, or turn things off when not in use. Weren't you the one who got upset that someone was building across the bay just because you could see it? Didn't they accommodate you rather than flip out? You skipped the accommodate step and flipped right the fuck out, and THAT'S the issue. This was supposed to be a community build. All someone had to do was say "i don't like it, can we do away with it" and that would have been the end of it. We were talking about multiple locations and we laid down an outline for a possible location. Despite the line being built in cobblestone nothing was set in stone! There wasn't a 5 by 5 wall with castle decorations, vines, and an overhang built up anywhere that I was aware of. But walking to the bay is only one direction from spawn, there are certainly other directions we can go instead, and if the bay area is out, the bay area is out. Not a big deal. I remember some really impressive builds on the first world. The library/subway, the lighthouse(s)....my really terrible tree house built entirely out of cobble and looks like a dick from above.
