@People who play on the modded server:

I can switch us back to a bukkit server, meaning Essentials, Homes, Warps, Etc., if we are willing to upgrade the ExtraBiomesXL mod to the newest version. all three of the mods we use have been ported to the MCPortCentral modded CraftBukkit build. Using that craftbukkit build, we can use any MCPC mods, as well as any Bukkit Plugins, in tangent together,

@Izak, there is no downside mod-wize to upgrading to the newest version. The only Con to it is everyone has to download a new minecraft.jar I provide, or they have to download the newest version of the mod to use in MagicLauncher/etc.

That is literally the only con to doing it, is re-modding the game for anyone who uses the modded server.

I have 8 full double chests, and you can have anything up to 4 of them if you need that much. Building a huge underground base means you aren't short on cobble. I probably won't be on much for a few days - it's in my jungle temple basement, which these days you can get to directly via the nether (on from mushroom biome portal, then through the normal jungle portal and down a ladder).

Lol you have no idea how much cobble we had when we made swagtown.

I see no problem why not. The only problem is I'd like to do all the episodes with whoever is involved all together, so the larger it gets the more scheduling around each other we have to do.

But I see no problem with us three, you two have similar timezones, and I, while not having a similar timezone, have a similar sleep schedule.

Typically thats all it should be.

Maybe check the threads/forge/minecraft updates once a week or so, and then you'd have to download a fresh server.jar and minecraft.jar from minecraft.net and then download a server and client version of all 3 mods, and forge, and drag+drop into the respective .jars, then give the server.jar to Corin, he'd change the Maruchan Custom Jar option to the updated jar in the control panel, and then you'd just stop and start the server to refresh the jar, and then make sure no errors.

then provide a download link to the client .jar both here and the spam section of those other forums I told you about.

For starters, I'd state in the topic that it is whitelisted, and I am not just looking for players, I am looking for people who want to be on our server, and then tell them they have to make me want them, by posting some form of application. But I wouldn't provide some bullshit form for them to fill out. They need to be able to make me want them without being prompted by me. That sort of a system.

Then I figure out that will weed out most of the scum, and leave us with a decent selection base.

He's right there is no vanilla way to run hardcore, as all hardcore is is hard+no respawns, and there is no vanilla way to set no respawns. You could do Hard with a Bukkit Server and deathbans as he said.

Also, if nobody says they don't want the fish mod of Tbone's. I'll be adding it. Izak if you can ask in the spam section of the ihoggy forums I had you register for? I would myself, but stillbanned. Just title it something like FTAO GAVIN'S SERVER PLAYERS

And unless we get any more opinions on if people want or not tbone's fishing mod, Its still on a backburner. I'm ambivalent towards it, If we do get it I might never use it, if not then I still will never use it, so I don't mind one way or the other, so its pretty much up to you guys, it seems most of you are with me in that, so izak do you have a specific reason you didn't want it, or pretty much the same mindset of me?

Most of us went a ways from spawn, and are building in isolation rather than a town-like thing.

Do some shameless self advertising and find me more players that are trustworthy and I can Whitelist them for you guys to build a townish type setup near spawn.

Overall there are like 10 or 15 of us that actively play it. Maybe 20.

How is it circus-y? It enhances the minecraft server and makes the gmae more interesting.

do you want to explore a new area but hate getting there? send out your track laying car and then give it an hour or two and zoom out to the end of the new freshly laid track on your high speed train.

Want to go half way around the world on a traincart without needing 5 million powered rails, and also want to bring friends with? that makes it possible.

I don't see how it is circusy. circusy would be the candyland mod, flymods, mo creatures, better than wolves, BuildCraft, IC2, RedPower, etc.

I lost all my blaze rods, ALL of my enchanted diamond pickaxes, a stack of diamond, and god knows what else.

I'm sorry to put the rest of you through this but there is one person out there I am aiming this at and i hope it hits them hard.

I'd just like to say that I keep finding little things popping up missing in my stash under my house. Things like 4 stacks of torches (big woop), a stack of this and that here and there, etc. I just hope whoever you are out there that took it, it makes you feel good that while someone who volunteered to give their life for their country was away from his family isolated from the world at boot camp, undergoing physical and mental "torture" (not ACTUAL torture but you get what I mean), you decided to make off with months of his work at amassing supplies. I hope it make you feel lovely knowing that his hard work and time put into getting that was wasted by a thief while he was being trained at boot camp. Great reward to joining the military eh?

I really hate to pull that card, but I really WANT to make just ONE person here (unknown who since i don't know the thief) feel like utter shit, and this was the best way I could think to do so. For anyone who this makes feel bad who did not jack my valuables and my building supplies, I truly do apologize, and I don't want to take your hard earned shit either. How do I know they were stolen and i didn't just use them? I had an inventory/chest sorter mod that izak also uses, and before I went offline my last time in July, I sorted every item in all my chests. that moves them all up and to the left and leaves no empty gaps. So when I come back and find EMPTY GAPS, you can guess what that means.

you don't even have to manage a general interaction logger, you plug it into the server set it up then forget about it.
it usually has a command to check the interactions with/placing/deleting of the block you're looking at, and other than that it just builds a database that you don't have to use.

1- Seion.us moved to another company. I was not informed, until I made the payment to seion.us last thursday, which came back, and Corin finally told me they were moving.

New hosting suggestions are welcome.

I didn't mean to imply this Claus, I meant that you were likely away from the internet for awhile (as does happen often) and hadn't had the chance yet to finalize the switch to new host.

Or rather why not just a command block that changes day--->night on the receipt of a redstone current, then when it gets nighttime, you go /warp NIGHTSWITCH flip the switch /back DONE.

just regenned 10 blocks underground to 10 blocks above, basically what I would have done with dirt/stone myself if I was any good at prettying up landscape. If you wish i can toss my chestfull of dirt to the lava gods as well.

we need the wall solidified, the trees impeding the walls cut down, and the entire area lit up, then i was thinking just stick a tunnel in the old wall to the new place and leaving the wall there.

Also for the record, I don't think any current houses in Spawntown are "too big" in terms of floorspace except plague, and that's just because it's a big cobblestone box. Korblestones, on the other hand...

deforesting the new area
roads and whatnot/etc/blah
