Ugh, hate the end of season lock. Gives me no reason to care to play for the next two weeks.

Maybe I'll get Platinum next season. I think I was within a few games of getting to gold this one. Been 48-36 since silver promotion

Oh, I thought MMR stayed the same during the lock. I thought it was solely division points, which I don't care about.

I haven't had any issues with a crappy wireless keyboard/mouse combo.

What's the advantages of going to a real gaming keyboard? I just don't see it. Besides no batterys, that's the biggest thing I see. Never had it die out, I get a good 3 days of warning when it's about to shit out.

I seem to binge on SC for a week or two every month. Played a lot at the end of April/start of may, then again first few weeks of june, and now only a few games a week. So yea, I play, but not as much right now because of class work and steam sales.

Because it's not just a NASL failure. It's below any public production i've ever seen. Worse than the worse of the local news, worse than high school or college tv.

The interviews aren't just awkward, but about 10% of the audio volume of anything else.

And they put Gretorp and Incontrol back on for the Boxer MC match...

Today is decent, sound is still going between loud and silent alot, but my main complaint today is just how cringe worthy that girl interviewing is.

I'm hoping to place in gold for S3, and then reach high plat by the end of the season. I have a lot of work I need to do for that.

PS : Mass banshee is so funny.

I feel like at very low levels, Toss is basically just coming down to macroing. If you macro well, you can create that deathball. Except in PvP. I hate it so much, that's why I stay with T right now (which is again, the same mass marine deathball, but much more vulnerable to collossus).

No, I'm saying I feel like if the toss player outmacros the other player (or has a better macro), unit composition doesn't matter.

Ugh, WTF. At least they got rid of scrap station, but yea, Metalopolis removal hurts. And I must be one of the few people who liked Slag Pits. Can't remember which one Delta Quadrant is though.

Edit: Okay, I'm neutral towards Delta Quadrant and Slag Pits. Couldn't they have taken out Backwater Gulch instead of Metalopolist?

Metalopolis, as stated, is likely the two reasons:
1. Close spawns are stupid like that
2. Cross spawns apparently favor Zerg way too much. I've just heard people say this, if someone can expand on why, I'd greatly appreciate.

And if you're taking out Metalopolis, you have to take out Slag Pits, as IIRC, it has a slightly smaller close spawn distance than Metalopolis. I kind of think it's balanced, however, if you take out Close Spawns?

Scrap Station - The fact that an expo is only accessible by air is just stupid.

Delta Quadrant - I didn't see too much wrong with this, it's a good distance, promotes good macro with the back expansion, and two very close expos to the ramp. But there are problems with that, plus I really don't like the gold expo locations.

I've played 3 games so far on Searing Crater and Abyssal Caverns, each, but none on the other two yet.

What I've found (from the perspective of a gold terran):
Searing Crater: What seems like the close expo, is horrible to defend. Unless you are playing against T with heavy sieges, the one on the immediate top/bottom map is the way to go. I feel the golds are practically worthless, unless you go into 5+ base play in cross positions. Gold is definitely worthless in vertical spawns.

Abyssal Caverns: Once again, the Golds are way too vulnerable to siege (can the lines on them be hit from the mains? I haven't checked yet), If I play Zerg on this map, I'm pretty much always going to anticipate a rush, I see it very hard for them to play off 3+ bases on the map.

Put a veto on Abyssal Caverns. The differences in the wall offs/air distance really stupid. Each base has one of them and of all the maps to veto, I'm going with that.

Edit: Or I may switch that with Antiga. Same horrible rotational issues as Backwater Gulch, but with the third.

I think the brackets should be more like the up/down matches, where the people who do worst in their pools are forced to play open bracket, etc. Because I just don't like the system where you can not win a match in pool play and yet still get auto-seeded into pools for the next tournament.

With the VODs, you can skip most of the BS and downtime in between games. With the improvments made so far in the past few MLGs, I'm pretty much going to buy gold between now and Raleigh in order to get the perks for that as well as the other tournaments, plus with the chairs being such an issue, I think it'd be clutch to get in early when I go to Providence.

My bets for winners of pools:

1: Rain or Huk
2. Bomber
3. DRG
4. Nada

I just think Rain will take it with how TvP is right now, unless one of the Toss players has something amazing up his sleeve for it, but that leaves it to Naniwa, as I doubt Huk or Incontrol will be able to, from Huk's traveling and Incontrol...being incontrol.

Makes me jealous I'm still not plat.

But I haven't played for 3 weeks, so once I get back in figuring out how to play within the next week or so, I'm probably a few good streaks away from plat (playing half gold/half plat players right now)

Shit that is tonight.

I'll maybe be still up. Working a fundraiser than maybe gambling all night, so I'll get back just in time!
