For context I played various atari and PC games before I ever knew that an NES existed or been exposed to that at all. It probably was an era specific game and it would be really hard to actually enjoy now but back in the day there wasn't much else to play so it was the greatest thing ever then.In post 59, Ythan wrote:Were you able to really appreciate Space Invaders? Never had occasion to play it. I looked it up and it looks like a game that improves on space invaders which makes sense since it came out after.In post 62, theelkspeaks wrote:

I tried both around the same time (1996 or so) when we got a collection of old arcade games - PC edition - and Space Invaders always felt like the inferior cousin of Galaga to me, I'm curious if you felt the opposite.
