The word "lynch" to describe the elimination of a player within games is now forbidden for all users.
Don't expect to see many bans come from this, but please feel free to gently remind other users of this new rule. We'll only take action beyond warning if it's become clear that someone is either purposefully or recklessly violating this rule. We have a great many players from different eras who will accidentally use the wrong word from time to time. This isn't a slur, and those who accidentally use it aren't bad people, but we're trying to distance ourselves from it.
I'd invite players and mods to try to avoid reporting these posts unless you feel they are done purposefully and repeatedly. This isn't something I want the listmods to have to spend a ton of time policing, but rather I hope that the community can step up to coach each other. Further, we encourage players to use alternatives to "mylo" "L-1" etc. but these are secondary concerns, and we aren't policing them at the moment.
We have decided for the moment to not use a word filter on "lynch" but it is possible that we will institute it at a later point if it seems this approach isn't working.
