Screw the Players - C9
Would there be any interest if I ran another one of these?
For people who don't know, it's basically a normal mafia game, except the player list is never revealed until the end of the game. That means that anyone can post but only a set number of players are actually in the game. Players in the game are known as /innies and outside of the game players are known as /outies. If an /outie is nightkilled or lynched then it counts as a no lynch or no kill. A lynch can only be reached when a majority of /in players have voted, like a normal mafia game.
If you didn't understand that, here are the basic rules:
This game only needs /in 7 players but many more /out players to post and make the game more enjoyable!-Signups will take place by PMing me with "/in". DO NOT SIGN UP IN THE THREAD. If you do, it won't count, plus it kills the game a little.
- I will never reveal the player list. The fun of this game is that players who are not actually playing can (and are very much encouraged to) screw with the game and pretend to be /in.
- A lynch is constituted by a majority of players who are /in putting their vote on the same person. If the lynchee is /out, the result is a No Lynch. I will reveal which /out player received the majority, but not which /in players constituted the majority. If the lynchee is /in, the lynch will be announced (but, again, not which players constituted the majority) and the player's role will be revealed.
- The cop, if existant, will receive a result of "guilty" if he targets a player who is /out. The doctor, if existant, will not have an effective choice if they target a player who is /out. If the mafia nightkill an /out person, it will look just as if the doctor made a succesful protect - nobody will be informed and no deaths will be announced.
-I will give votecounts assuming that everyone who casts a vote is /in.
-/In players are expected to post with reasonable frequency - I'm flexible with lurking, and will prod you liberally, but for obvious reasons replacements don't work very well in this game. Modkill will be used in its place. Also, for scum, lurking as a strategy to look like an /out player will be a modkillable offense (after reasonable warnings). Just, basically, play within the spirit of the game and you'll be fine.
The setup will be C9 which means 2 mafia and 3-5 townies (2 with 50% cop or 50% doc).
