All of a sudden, the game seems to switch hosts, and our screen said you and the other guy quit, but we kept playing for a few more seconds, only to return to the lobby to find out you we're still in the game...Twas bizarre. Mostly minor tweaks to levels and damage multipliers. For example, melee damage is 75%, making it a 3 hit kill as opposed to the 2 hit in other playlists. Fuck the sprinting two melee kill.

I finished that, and moved on to a few nightfall quick runs, and found me a nice little...loophole. If you save and quit close to the end of the level, and reload the game, you get flawless cowboy credit. In addition, the game does not remove your save, and you can reload it as many times as you please. Ten second flawless cowboy credit, ftw?

Flawless cowboy is a commendation, the one to complete a level on heroic without dying.

As for long night of solace: I got stuck for a while at that same part. I think I ended up beating it with a plasma repeater of all weapons. That was the point of the game I decided to go back to the old plasma pistol/dmr combo. The levels after that didn't take me very long (besides the last one). Exodus isn't bad until the end (the firefight level). The level where you fly the hornet is piss easy. Took me an hour with dicking around killing as many banshees as I could

. Protip: You don't need to kill the hunters in the night club. That saves a lot of time.

And yeah, finished the weekly yesterday. Gave me a reason to finish solo legendary, haha.

I've been doing a lot better in arena (that playlist that only has slayer pro) after switching to DMR/sprint. The stickies are nice if you can stick them, but if you get good enough with the frags, it really doesn't matter.

You can't really blame a game for sucking you in to that level. You let yourself get to that level, and it happens. It's all in your head, and it all depends on your choices and obsessiveness. Obsessing over an xbox game is in no way different than obsessing over an MMO. Chalking it up to "lol you play WoW, you must be addicted" is an unfair assumption to make.

Case in point: Yes, I've activated my account up to a trial. Yet at the same time, I'm still playing less WoW a week than I played Halo in a week towards the end of last year. I could essentially make the point of saying "I saw Reaper play Halo, and I swore myself that I would never go back to that level" right back to you if I wanted.
