If she says it's because of deadlines at work, then it's because of deadlines at work. Her timing for needing to be replace is nothing more than an inconvenient coincidence. I know her well enough to know that if there was any chance she could continue, she would.

I'm really not following what you mean by "less of a time constraint". Unless you believe it was a guarantee she was going to be lynched and her death would free up the time. These games take time to play, and for any sort of decent player the time it takes out of a day should be equal throughout the game.

Well, I've skimmed the past day or two of the thread. Still kinda lost, but that's nothing new for me.

My first impression is that farside is either scum or jester (for reasons many have already stated), but I'm in the camp that if lynching the jester doesn't end the game, it's hardly a direct loss to the town. With that I'll

On another note I'll say that mt next suspicion for scum is Beep! Beep!, but for some reason I can't quite put my finger on why. Just a wierd hunch, I guess.

Explain your position on Beep! Beep!, then analyze MeMe/mathcam.

My position on Beep! Beep! is that she's scum. I'm afraid I can't actually explain it, though, as I have no actual basis for this position. It's nothing more than a random hunch. (though at this point in the game, random probably has close to, if not more than, a 50/50 shot of hitting scum)

As for MeMecam, I've read through all of their posts, and I honestly don't see anything scummy about them. However, I am horrible at analyzing posts for such things, due to the unfortunate curse of being able to see most arguments from both sides.

Apologies for double post, but there was more I meant to say but forgot while I was typing what came before it...

The following does, however, occur to me about ckd:

A) He accuses hasdgfas' claim leading to farside's lynch, but looking back, I see no place where has claims to have any actual proof. It looks more like an opinion of scum, but being restricted to two words means he can't give much more than what he said yesterday.

B) He fos' beep for "guiding" has through his claim, like he would have prefered it to stay open for some sort of interpretation he could weasel out of (though I was able to make out what has meant in the first place)

C) Telling has to break his pr, well, I think it's pretty much been said by cam and pj.

I'm more inclined to believe that has' restriction would be for a protown power role, rather than scum. Which leads me to belive what he says, and that ckd targeted pooky last night. And believing that, when ckd went straight for the "fake-claim" accusation rather than trying to say something more rational, that solidified my opinion of him.

With all that, I definitely belive ckd is scum.

That he's either genuinely town, or he's scum that knew he wasn't lynched and tried to fool other people into thinking he was (faking a "bah" post) so when the proper vote count came up people would take votes off of him saying "oh, that's how a townie would have reacted"

the problem comes with the fact that I've never played with him before, so I don't know if he's capable of that kind of deception.

MGIA, explain why you recruited Beep! Beep! into the cult after the town had specifically come to the conclusion that you should not recruit.

Three reasons:

1) It's my decision to make. Not anyone elses.

2) There's no way that I can trust that anyone who said anything about not doing so is in fact town.

3) There

the possibility that if I didn't the scum vote could have outnumbered town. We still don't know how this game is set up.

I know people's arguments have been that scum would just kill me to get their votes back, but between me and another possibly more helpful role, who would the town rather lose at night?

If you are town, then I do think it is the town's decision to make. A directed Vig does not change their choice overnight simply because "they make the decision" -- if they do they are not too good of a player (even, I would argue, if they happen to hit scum). If you want to make a choice like that, you ought to be arguing about it ahead of time instead of doing it leaving yourself discredited by not following the guidelines to which the town had agreed.

I never made any such agreement and refuse to allow myself to be led by anyone, in any game, ever. If you don't like that, tough, I don't care.

2.)

You might not "trust" what we say, but a little common sense goes a long way. Your role hurts the town more than it helps the town. Even if you managed to steal a vote from scum, having you killed just replaces the vote and you turn out to be ineffective. Stealing a vote from a townsperson could be disastrous. And of course, if you are scum this was highly convenient timing for you.

How, exactly, does is hurt town and can be disasterous? I have yet to see a reasonable explination to this. And I've already addressed that it's better scum spends a night killing me than to kill another power role.

It's not question of whether or not you are "willing to be led"; it's a question of "why didn't you argue for your position prior to making the action", or -- at the very least -- "why did you not inform us you might take a vote prior to actually doing it?".

OK, I guess I can concede this point to you. However, by the time I decided I would, there really wasn't enough time to debate, so I just went on with it.

Stealing votes can be disastrous because (a) a misplaced vote from you is all the more likely to end in a quicklynch [or in fact

be

a quicklynh vote], and (b) if you happen to find one of the scum townish, the town may

never

be able to lynch that person because we will never be able to garner enough votes without your double-vote (or triple-vote, etc). You are accumulating more and more power which allows you to lynch anybody with only a few voters on them, or alternatively, effectively have the town refuse to lynch somebody.

Now this I just don't agree with. A person would have to be extremely careless and irresponsible for either of those scenarios to play out (and don't try to argue that using my ability was just that, because it was neither careless nor irresponsible. It was merely inconsiderate). I don't just throw around votes, and have no intention of "quick-lynching" anybody. Also, at this point in the game, there isn't a single person here I would refuse to lynch unless there's a damn good reason, in which case I shouldn't need to refuse because other people would see it the same way.

I've been trying to follow this PJ/BB exchange but trying to read it is like trying to understand the teacher from the Charlie Brown cartoons ("wa wa, wa wawawa")

And before some one comes in and asks me what my opinion is about wether or not I think either of them is scum, I'll say right now that I thik they both are. It looks to me like they're either improvising this whole exchange or they're from seperate scum factions, and as is always the case in these situations, I have no real logical basis for this opinion. It's just that, an opinion.
