if you're the only person voting for someone, you are making it harder for the town to lynch at this point because you're increasing the number of "active" votes. If you're really convinced your vote is right, then you need to make a case for it; otherwise, you need to at least unvote that person, otherwise all you're doing is increasing the odds of a no-lynch.

why are you wasting your vote? Please convince us we need a beep wagon, or disband.

And, since we're on the subject of Meta, can you tell us How this is unlike Guardian's previous play? So far its your word, and thats not gonna stick too well...

Not useless. Rosso outted his own bad play, and what I took for a lie. I'm leaning Scum now for Rosso, I had given him a chance and he blew it. I'm not saying this because he called me stupid, as long as he spouts incorrect insults I'm fine with it. But his play in Newbie games is just plain awful, and I think we can draw a lot from them. Therefore I have no large reads either way, but I can hardly imagine him as definitely Pro-Town. Gah, how neutral that sounded. But, its just means I'm leaning Scum but have no definitive reads either way on him.

And Neko, lets not forget that I actually used meta to clear his D1 actions, so I'm not saying hes Scum based on my "arguments" in my last few posts.

And I only brought up one fact, one line of Rosso's that I thought was a lie. Hes the one who tried, rather pathetically, to explain it. When that didn't work, he insulted me. So "Keep bringing up discussions that have little to do with finding Scum" is not an accurate assessment.

I’m still not crazy about this idea that we have some “choice” between Rosso Carne and Mike O’Malley. Limiting our options to two mostly lurkers seems directly counter to town’s interests. Day one was effectively limited to Scotmany12 or no one, aside from the rather abortive attempt at a Mike O’Malley wagon. At this point, if I had to choose one of these two it would probably be Mike O’Malley, primarily because I’ve found his play to be a bit more shady than Rosso Carne’s, as I pointed out in an earlier post, and because after metaing Rosso Carne I can only conclude that this is pretty much the way he always plays.

That said, I have a question for you, Rosso:

Now on the subject of what Imat’s taking you to task for I have no interest. What you posted could easily be taken to have either meaning, and I think he’s holding on too tight to his interpretation. However, I probably metaed Guardian more thoroughly than I ever have another player, and his play here seems consistent with his play elsewhere.

So can you, with specific examples, show how Guardian’s behavior here is unlike his behavior in other games? For example, in the Pick Your Poison game I mentioned earlier Guardian went after xyzzy for, among other things, lurking. And he went after him so hard he was still going after xyzzy’s replacement, Bookitty, two days later. Any contrary evidence you can supply which would serve to demonstrate that Guardian does not typically pursue people for lurking would be appreciated.

I'd rather not cite other games as a meta.

Why? Because of your inaccurate meta? Because page 39 is awesome? Why, Rosso?

I find it very suspicious that Rosso's first.... and apparently only, defense is an inaccurate meta. Does anyone else?

He hasn't even tried to justify his play as pro-town -- and why would he need to, with everyone inaccurately meta-ing him for him, and players jumping out of the woodwork in his defense.

Now that Beep! has unvoted, Rosso hasn't kept any votes other than mine, and at least three players jumped to his defense before he uttered a single word today.

People are misunderstanding (or intentionally straw-manning) me from all sides in saying that I want Rosso lynched because he's lurking, and I think it is a

significant

misinterpretation of Rosso's play here to say 'he is playing like he always does'.

He obfuscates his views by talking about the awesomeness of hammering, but he often shifts candidates, takes logical stances, and does other things indicative of town-ness in other games.

Here, all he did day 1 was target an easy wagon, and in posts 468, 471 posted an incredibly weak and unfounded attack on Beep!Beep!

That's the only scum-hunting he's done all game, excepting his recent OMGUS on me.

Rosso has gone above and beyond his scummy meta here. He isn't doing anything at all indicative of town-helpful ness.

If you want to say that his meta is that he hurts the town with every post, a) you're wrong, and b) if someone has that as a meta, I think they should be lynched.

It bothers the hell out of me that it is like pulling teeth to get people to consider voting Rosso, and when they do, everyone is coming up with inaccurate meta-defenses.

Mike O Malley could be scum, and I don't condone his play -- but he is the lesser of two evils. Mike is strictly staying with his alt M.O. of lurking, lurking, and more lukring, and hasn't overtly showed himself to be scum.

Rosso, on the other hand, has shown himself to be scum.

If anything, I am the one pleading for more votes on someone who's been very scummy in this game, and everyone attacking Mike is asking for a meta-game lurker-lynch.

ps: I'm not trying to perpetuate a 'Mike O or Rosso' mentality. If you have a good case on someone else -- go for it! However, I won't be looking elsewhere soon -- I feel really good that I've found scum in Rosso, and I

definitely trying to push for Rosso votes. If you see Rosso and Mike as the only viable alternatives, I definitely do encourage you to go for Rosso. And even if you do some independent scum hunting, while I encourage you to mention it, consider if it is really a better case than that I've laid out against Rosso. He is worthy of your votes.
