Actually, I'm pretty sure I figured out a way that we could break the game and confirm every Phantom Thief.
Part of the Phantom Thief role PM tells me who Akira Kurusu is.
If, somehow, we could all claim at the same time, who Akira is, we could immediately confirm all the Phantom Thieves.
Of course, that level of cooperation and getting everyone to post at the exact same time so scum can't just copy+paste and sneak in would be nearly impossible.
I also though that maybe when we run someone to L-1, they could claim and also claim who they think Akira is, but if scum somehow know Akira's identity (But they shouldn't otherwise this game design gets real dumb), we could confirm out people before lynching them.
Of course, that does out Akira, who seems to be our most useful PR or something.

I'm not liking Creature here. This feels like Creature trying to break out of his scum meta. There are exceptions, but most people tend to be energized at the start of a scum game when they draw scum, since it's much less frequent (with anomalies occasionally, like the absurd streak of scum assignments I had over the Summer). My experience in the past ~3 years on this site, and the near decade on my home site, has borne out that the vast majority of "inactive" or "low active" posters are town who are either overwhelmed or are just very selective in what they want to engage with.

Don't get me wrong: Scum do sometimes hide in that group of people. The thing is ... if the inactive group is large enough, scum end up having to kill there and weed themselves out for us. I've found that more often than not, someone pushing the idea that inactives should be the priority is scum.

Early light scum read goes to Creature. Mostly for the fact that he referenced his self-meta as scum to (possibly) plant the idea that a scum!Creature would not be posting anywhere near the level he is.

And also ... we're in pre-game. God help us if we're going to have a 20 page pre-game and a 50 page RVS or some shit. Try a

I don't do snap reads, I look for inconsistencies and forced bad logic so it's too early for that.
Which is why I'm so against town fakeclaims. Fakeclaims are by definition lies, which mess up my whole scumhunting method.
It also leads to a need to read a lot, which is one of the reasons I'm better when the gem to fluff ratio is good.

Large walls and excessive numbers of posts both have negative effects on the effort needed to catch up. I tend to use the "two ears one mouth" principle. If other people have already made the point, there is often little point in "me too"ing. Sadly this position is seen by too many people as scummy.

D1 is for getting a foothold in the game and sorting as many players as possible, it's the day I (and most people) are most likely to change their votes multiple times.

Upon further reflection of the earlier conversation, I don't find it at all believable that he would not realize that we went and figured out what our Arcana might give Dave, and therefore understand that I was signaling Dave to get it tonight and ensure he gets it. Instead he tried to throw shade and suggest I was giving Dave sub-optimal advice.

Given that we are already as outed as we can get, I'm going to just get really specific here.

You really should collect us tonight. Our arcana will improve your investigative ability. My personal best guess is that you will go from getting a binary "Scum/Not Scum" result to also getting role information. That strikes me as pretty powerful, so I wouldn't be surprised if you have to choose one or the other. There are some other things it could potentially do, which I judge less likely, but still possible. Like bypass Godfather for example.

Obviously you aren't going to get all the arcana, even in a game this size. I'm fairly sure the general idea of what ours does is pretty freaking strong though, so umm... yeah.
