NGE - Replaced in D5 or some shit. Skimed most of the game. Scumhunted in my usual way; provoked a few people. Had an incorrect read on Grey due to not being familiar with his hedgehog's dilema. I later sheeped him and thanked him for putting together such a concise case on the scum so we could win the game. And he's construing it like I was playing akin to Cooldog or bunnylover. You know why? Because he's scum. He feels he has to exaggerate his adhom case on me because thats his only option. I claimed an RB result. I am not making some huge behavioral case on him. This is apparent. But according to Grey, because I'm such an "anti-town player who only focuses on the town leaders" (lol) my RB result should not be listened to. This is his argument. Its a scum argument.

town:

glork

alchemist
hinduragi
singer
nikanor
lld
tammy
THS

possible scum:

DDD
KKB
gamma
benmage
katsuki
magister ludi
rhinox
tierce
toast

likely scum:

KKB
benmage
toast
katsuki

very likely scum:

benmage
toast

I've written this during the night. I already know I will block the nightkill. However there is always the possibility that the scum are gaming my ego and intentionally no-killed, or maybe TSH was doctored, but whatevs. Its NP. I will post this immediately at the start of the day. Vi trolled you guys pretty hard with that flip eh? Me too. Anyway.

When I reread the last day, I was specifically looking for people trying to steer away from the GI wagon. Why? Because I have a hard time believing the scum would have anything to do with lynching one of their last partners if not THE last partner they had. I was looking for whoever was offering up substitutes in desperation, that sort of thing. At first I thought Tierce was, which is sort of possible, but she contributed in her usual way which was not far from her meta this game.

I roleblocked Toasty for a few reasons. OMG Tim how could you think a roleblocker/neighborizer could be scum! Well. Toasty has been extremely ambiguous about his role. He's the only other claimed roleblocker in the game and we know there is a scum roleblocker because of the Duplicity night. Duplicity never got a kill off - he was blocked. Or maybe the scum had a higher kill speed. Whatever I digress. It doesn't matter that much. Other problems: He's "forgotten" or "couldn't" to action TWICE. 2 unaccounted roleblocks. Which is just silly when you think about it.

Toasty wrote:Then I'm counterclaiming because I'm a roleblocking neighborizer and highly doubt that town has two roleblockers. It's a day ability so unfortunately I've only had one action (D1 I forgot and D3 I was V/LA). Day 2 I neighborized/roleblocked LLD.

unvote:vote:Alchemist

Unecessary CC much? He reeks of Interrogator (think evil jailkeeper - its an em thing). Because I think there is only 1 scum left (thanks for da slip, GI), he probably couldn't have both neighborized LLD and blocked duplicity. Or maybe he could have. Maybe someone else fucked Dup's shit up. I dont know. Maybe his role is odious and has multiple-joat like appendages. I dont know. Anyway.

He CC'd to earn town cred and appear active. Simple. Hint: he really is only active when he is prompted, not a good sign. He was also trying to setup a possible mislynch on me so they wouldn't have to deal with an NK. Scum tend to try that with me. It never works, woe to them. He's in sync with the spirit of Nexus.

He roleblocked LLD because she was heavily hinting at role knowledging concerning Nikanor. Yea, roleblock that cop good! ^_^

Toasty's voting record:

Day 1 (Quilford-Town was lynched)

implosion (L-10) ~ Duplicity, ToastyToast, Nikanor
(weak bus, nowhere near the activity or a lynch)
Day 2 (Nexus-Scum was lynched)

Oman (L-8) ~ Magister Ludi, ToastyToast
(no where near a scum lynch, again - far from the action)
Day 3 (SpyreX-Town was lynched)

SpyreX (LYNCH) ~ Lady Lambdadelta, Gammagooey, kanyeknowsbest, Tierce, Hinduragi, Glork, Alchemist, Tammy,
Katsuki, Magister Ludi, MaguaofIllusion
(Not proud of this lynch myself, but it'd be too tempting for scum to not get on)
Day 4 (Uberninja-Town was lynched)

UberNinja (LYNCH) ~ Glork, Tierce, kanyeknowsbest, Lady Lambdadelta, Alchemist, Debonair Danny DiPietro,
Gammagooey, Katsuki, Benmage, ToastyToast, Hinduragi
(Pretty much the same deal as the Spyre lynch. Free excuse to vote town. Absolved of responsbility.)
Day 5 (GreyICE-Scum was lynched)

Benmage (L-8) ~ GreyICE, ToastyToast
(Perhaps the most damning vote of all.)

So you put all this together and you have someone who is habitually a non-issue. The lynches he WAS on were already huge, and his votes just reek of opportunism and just trying to get lost in the crowd.

I'm sure this is gonna bother a lot of the players who were playing the game up untill recently (cept lld :p). Personally I think you should have informed the town of when the scum hit one of their targets, so the town would at least have a better idea of the condition they were in. The secondary wincon made it heavily scumsided. Anyway I enjoyed it, I made some decent plays, but then again I'm only one Empress. I've asked myself a few times if trading with GI was worth it. Probably not. Pretty sure it was the correct play though. How was I supposed to know the scum were so close to their wincon. :|

the town didn't really know the stakes

all we had was an ambiguous colored number that was getting bigger. you can extrapolate various nebulous things from this but we had no where near the amount of information the scumhad on the setup to be competitive and this my biggest gripe about the whole affair. yes regfan was a wildcard (lol@reg playing like town, he cant help himself) but thats hardly an indicator for the game turning out the way it did

just because its a large theme game doesn't mean it has to become a guessing game. would it REALLY have imbalanced the game SO MUCH if we were given SOME heads up about the NUMBER of targets concerning Miciah's Plan or SPECIFICALLY what it was all about? i dont think thats asking a whole lot. IMO players shouldn't have to concern themselves with the vagaries of a setup and should focus on the actual game of mafia, e.g scumhunting informed minority/uninformed majority, mister. scum already have more information by the very nature of being scum, duh.

in theme games? man, i wouldn't be averse to it :D

1. we didnt know how many
2. we didnt know who they were
3. those players didnt know if they were targets
4. the type of players (e.g what sort of flavor) was not hinted at
5. vi's personal interpretation of the flavor (sort of) was what determined the targets
6. i assume most people would have thought 6-8, not 5
7. the targets could be lynched too making it easier
8. etc so and so forth

you were scum and died early so you are a little biased mister
