It wasn't intended as a joke vote. =/ It was the best connection I could make and I don't believe random votes are of any use.SpamWise wrote:I'm so sick of the joke-votes that go "such and such was killed by something, and it has something to with so and so's name"

I guess that makes sense. Anyway, I might as well stick with voting for the meat of doom for now, it's as good as random.Mariyta wrote:

If you mean in terms of why I made the name connection, here is the link to a game I played in which we successfully lynched a scum by making a name connection. It may have been bad modding, I don't know, but it's worked for me before. BTW, the name-connection is made on the first post of the page I linked to.Albert the Great wrote:FoS: Channel Delibirduntil there is a little more elaboration.#greenshirtthursdays-

Does this not also implicate Yamahako as trying to stir up false role ideas? I'm not so sure that's so much scummy as curious, but IGMEOY Yamahako anyway.Tamuz wrote:

While I'm online, I might as well reiterate my earlier point.
As I've said before, the only games of Mafia I'd played before weren't really serious and death scenes were written as clues to who committed the crime. This name-connection voting was the main method of lynching in those games. But after a couple of weeks reading games on this site I've seen the light. That's why it wasn't a joke vote.Axelrod wrote:ChanelDelibird: saying his ridiculous first vote on MMODwasn'ta joke vote. WTF?#greenshirtthursdays-

I'm actually leaning more towards Karn trying to implicate Mariyta on purpose. He must have known when he claimed that he still had a good chance of getting lynched, and so I wouldn't think that he would allow one of his scumbuddies to be implicated so easily the next day. But of course there's a nice healthy dose of WIFOM in all that...at least for now I don't want to vote Mariyta.
I'm interested to see what Tamuz has to say today.#greenshirtthursdays-

Interesting points on MBL. He does seem erratic and distrusting of the Flay wagon, but I've read a couple of games he was/is in and it seems to me that he's naturally cautious. I'm not 100% convinced but I'd like to get some explanation on your actions, MBL.Vote: MrBuddyLee#greenshirtthursdays-

I'm reasonably happy with the explanation you've given.Unvote
The problem with your claim of being attacked by a collarwielding maniac is that it's not confirmable until it fails again, the chances of which I would imagine being much slimmer than it succeeding otherwise the role would be useless. But I'm not a fan of using probability as damning evidence, because as long as there's a 1% chance the circumstances are still possible.#greenshirtthursdays-

It does say in that quote that he wasnowin free control of his soul. I would like clarification from Tamuz as to whether that was just poor wording or there was an element of control before that.
I feel I explained everything regarding my non-voting of Mariyta and questioning of you yesterday, MBL.
But today I'm going tovote: SpamWise. Yesterday he attacked me, saying he was 'fairly sure I was scum' without giving an explanation further than that, now he's dropped it today and said instead that he's fairly sure Yosarian is scum. Make up your mind, SpamWise, and give some evidence.#greenshirtthursdays-

You're next on my list.
Actually, I just read over themanhimself's posts and it didn't take long because there were only two. I know he replaced but there was a 10-day gap in between them. I suppose there is some justification on the wagon (I hadn't thought there was any reason because I hadn't noticed themanhimself at all during the game).#greenshirtthursdays-

I place value in Tamuz's posts because he pointed the finger at scum on day 1. That could be good intuition or behavioural analysis, and if so, great, or it could be scum throwing his buddy under a bus, in which case paying attention to Tamuz's posts might allow me to see any evidence behind that possibility. His restriction is one of the more interesting things in the game and is worth taking continued interest in.MrBuddyLee wrote:
Curious thing to say when you could sort by poster and figure it out yourself. You're still more than half scummy in my eyes. A read of all your posts shows a tendency to be inordinately influenced by Tamuz's posts. That's a behavior I attribute to scum wanting the cover of a safe entity for their actions. I'm not saying Tamuz is scummy, I'm saying that you're putting way too much weight into his posts, and you're not a newb so I find that entirely scummy. You're taking cover.
This rings hollow.ChannelDelibird wrote:Actually, I just read over themanhimself's posts and it didn't take long because there were only two. Could you tell me exactly what the points against me are, please? You seem very vehement and it'd be nice if I had something to defend myself against.petroleumjelly wrote:I don't quite think MMoD exhibited a true scum tell there. If his role has anything to do with neutrality, or finding neutrality, then he was being silly saying that so blatantly in-thread. How often do you see games where neutral roles are just mentioned off-hand without any evidence of there being a neutral role? It doesn't happen. The fact that he asked a claimedMasonif he was neutral was so silly I had to slap a FoS on him.
I won't speculate on what I think MMoD may have been trying to achieve with his question at the moment. I will probably start poking at him tomorrow, though, if both of us are alive.

Seeing as it's very difficult to defend myself against gut feelings, it's probably in my best interests to claim now. I am Valan Luca, a doctor. I protected Mr. Flay N1 and Tamuz on N2 & N3.MrBuddyLee wrote:I'll admit the DBird lynch is one based less on pure evidence than on gut feeling, but I honestly think his post history is the scummiest of those who remain. I give my target cover in my troupe for the night. I'm not sure flavour-wise how that doesn't make any sense.Cyan wrote:I don't see how Valan Luca could be a Doctor, there are loads of better WoT choices for that. Plus, it really makes no sense whatsoever as far as Luca's character goes. I know that you shouldn't put too much stock in flavor to determine game mechanics, but, Luca being a Doctor makes about as much sense as Nynaeve being a Super-Cop.#greenshirtthursdays-
