Fuldu Silverbow was killed by something with a paw. A paw must come from an animal. And what do you get from an animal? Meat.

While they may not serve a direct purpose, sometimes certain people will react very strongly to an initial vote (even though it's clearly stated as random). It's a good way to start off determining who may be scum.
I guess that makes sense. Anyway, I might as well stick with voting for the meat of doom for now, it's as good as random.

If you mean in terms of why I made the name connection, here is the link to a game I played in which we successfully lynched a scum by making a name connection. It may have been bad modding, I don't know, but it's worked for me before. BTW, the name-connection is made on the first post of the page I linked to.

Does this not also implicate Yamahako as trying to stir up false role ideas? I'm not so sure that's so much scummy as curious, but IGMEOY Yamahako anyway.

From what I gather, the suggestion is that someone has a role that can force people (in this case Tamuz) do post in a certain way or vote for a certain person, maybe both. I'm trying to think of an appropriate character in WoT, but my knowledge of the series is limited...

As I've said before, the only games of Mafia I'd played before weren't really serious and death scenes were written as clues to who committed the crime. This name-connection voting was the main method of lynching in those games. But after a couple of weeks reading games on this site I've seen the light. That's why it wasn't a joke vote.

I'm actually leaning more towards Karn trying to implicate Mariyta on purpose. He must have known when he claimed that he still had a good chance of getting lynched, and so I wouldn't think that he would allow one of his scumbuddies to be implicated so easily the next day. But of course there's a nice healthy dose of WIFOM in all that...at least for now I don't want to vote Mariyta.

I'm interested to see what Tamuz has to say today.

Interesting points on MBL. He does seem erratic and distrusting of the Flay wagon, but I've read a couple of games he was/is in and it seems to me that he's naturally cautious. I'm not 100% convinced but I'd like to get some explanation on your actions, MBL.

The problem with your claim of being attacked by a collarwielding maniac is that it's not confirmable until it fails again, the chances of which I would imagine being much slimmer than it succeeding otherwise the role would be useless. But I'm not a fan of using probability as damning evidence, because as long as there's a 1% chance the circumstances are still possible.

It does say in that quote that he was
now
in free control of his soul. I would like clarification from Tamuz as to whether that was just poor wording or there was an element of control before that.

I feel I explained everything regarding my non-voting of Mariyta and questioning of you yesterday, MBL.

But today I'm going to
vote: SpamWise
. Yesterday he attacked me, saying he was 'fairly sure I was scum' without giving an explanation further than that, now he's dropped it today and said instead that he's fairly sure Yosarian is scum. Make up your mind, SpamWise, and give some evidence.

Actually, I just read over themanhimself's posts and it didn't take long because there were only two. I know he replaced but there was a 10-day gap in between them. I suppose there is some justification on the wagon (I hadn't thought there was any reason because I hadn't noticed themanhimself at all during the game).

Curious thing to say when you could sort by poster and figure it out yourself. I understand that's what you eventually ended up doing, but you did it under coercion and that gets you way less than half credit.

You're still more than half scummy in my eyes. A read of all your posts shows a tendency to be inordinately influenced by Tamuz's posts. That's a behavior I attribute to scum wanting the cover of a safe entity for their actions. I'm not saying Tamuz is scummy, I'm saying that you're putting way too much weight into his posts, and you're not a newb so I find that entirely scummy. You're taking cover.

This rings hollow.
I place value in Tamuz's posts because he pointed the finger at scum on day 1. That could be good intuition or behavioural analysis, and if so, great, or it could be scum throwing his buddy under a bus, in which case paying attention to Tamuz's posts might allow me to see any evidence behind that possibility. His restriction is one of the more interesting things in the game and is worth taking continued interest in.
