I quick perusal says there are (a) many good reads out there, and that (b) they are mostly gut.

piledrive Thor

The long break from action makes this game hard to get back into, I must say.

This vote is mostly just a reread of the last few pages. Thor is very meta, very "let's everyone listen to me while I explain how mafia works". Not a fan. What I am a fan of, is bandwagony, and multi-dude pileups.

clothesline scott brosius

Reading back I actually thought the same thing as others: namely, that scott has been more sizzle than steak since we started playing
for reals!
If he had come back and said, "oh, sorry, been busy, lurking, etc." I probably would have let it go (god knows I'm not one to criticize early-game lurking). But the last few posts don't give that vibe. They give the "this is what I am, deal with it" vibe, which is not what he promised.

good to see this wagon finally leaving the station. We need a viable one to counter trendall. I still don't see trendall as anything to worry about.

@thor's 1014- it's weird that you would pick my NOT being on the scott wagon as one of the three noteworthy things to happen in the last few pages. honestly I'm glad you're obsessed with my actions and inactions, but if you commented everytime someone made a post that didnt' comment on one particular wagon you'd have a longer list. Is there some reason in particular that
I
specifically should care about scott?

From the top of the ropes:

page 1- plan develops to take ppl out in order, much confusion
page 2- VP complains about plan, wants more control
page 3- chess and jason argue over tactics, bitchslap each other
page 4- VP wants to eliminate "erratic" players, gives a list
page 5- slow elimination of players
page 6- more belt discussion
page 7- ditto
page 8- consensus emerges to just get to real game, votes pile in
page 9-22- slow battle ensues
539- DDD wins the belt!
550s- early wagon on chess for voting "town" out of of belt competition [-, don't understand this]
577- thor takes chess' side, wagon fizzles
673- babyspice, nero lead w/ 3 votes
751- babyspice gets a little angry [-]
754- erratus votes scott for lurking after promising action [+]
755- baby leads w/ 4 votes
774- horribly post by trendall, says all are town, no reads
776- primate has strange reaction to Trendall's horrible post [-]
789- nero doesn't like snake case, askes for different case [-, diversion]
800- trendall leads w/ 5 votes
825- trendall leads w/ 7 votes, scott second with 6
851- trendall up to 9 votes, no other serious wagon emerges

someone post, please. I have more.

854- vas, vez, chess, and lowell not liking the trendall wagon
855- VP explains the trendall wagon: "appeasing" [+, points for stepping up, even if wrong]
926- VP complains lack of focus on wagons, says all should be voting trendall, scott, or thor [-]
955- erra votes furc [-, don't like the timing, right after chess called out furc: looks like opportunism and vote-wasting at deadline]
963- prim endorses trendwagon, wants claim
966- scott and bristep join trendwagon
967- trend leads w/ 11 votes
988- sotty notices snake as possible scum [+, new ideas!]
1006- bristep panics [-]
1078- IS hammers trendall
1081- IS defends vote/apologizes/blames someone else [---, before flip?]
1085- nero points out horribleness of 1081
1103- trendall, thor die
1105- kise claims being targetted, votes IS
1108- baby votes lowell for attacking "obvtown" thor [-, hindsight to justify vote]
1140s- IS/DDD argue over rolenames
1161- sotty continues attacks on snake
1180s- chess and IS lead the DDD wagon; DDD refuses to nameclaim
1215- vezo claims "information cop"
1278- snake, SK, killed by jason, kami/vig
1293- vezo finishes claim, explains targetting DDD [+, makes sense]
1370s- SK/setup discussion [-, pointless]
1396- IS leads w/ 7 votes, EA has 5, GMan 3
1404- nero explains Scott case [+, exactly!]

Thanks, DDD, one more please

piledrive Scott Brosius
. I agree completely with Nero's case. Beyond that, I don't think scott has ever even tried to live up to what he promised from the beginning. I get the sense that he's limping through because he thinks he can.

Menacing FOS Erratus
. This one is largely on gut, but among the three leading wagons this is the one I'd prefer.

"Come Hither" FOS Baby Spice
. Early on she was strangely defensive about her behavior (the only I can find offhand is 751, but there are others around that time), and her "obvtown" comment in 1108 makes no sense based on her previous comments, and looks more like she just wants an opportunistic reason to cast a vote. overall she's too defensive and erratic, which spells scum.

"You're Next" FOS InternetStranger
. I'm actually becoming a fan of his more recent play over the past few pages, but I just cannot get over post 1081. I've never been town and apologized for a hammer BEFORE a reveal... this suggests a guilty conscience. Either he knew the flip would be town, or he was twitchy for some other reason. Either is bad.

...again DDD...

Some ObvTown Players
:

chess
is town. Reading through in one sitting, it often seems like he's the only one paying attention.

vez
is town. While his role seems useless, I can't imagine it's a fabrication.

sotty
is town. In ISO he's
shockingly
prescient about snake. He started, pushed, carried, and sweated for the snake-wagon that eventually led to his horribly graphic explosion.

Yay finally caught up! More tonight, hopefully.

I can be swayed onto the Gman wagon if for some reason the ugliness man Scott Brosius isn't going down.

Eye gouge Gman
. See?

Upon realizing my read completely missed him, I ISOd. Pointless. Get him talking or get him gone. If I have to choose one opinion to parrot, I'd rather it be sotty than chesskid.

@nero- yeah I realize it's not the best of bedfellows, but really scum are probably as likely to bus as not; so I don't think scottybro's vote being on GMan necessarily means anything one way or the other. Gman is mostly the reasons others have given. lurking isn't the worst thing in the world (I would know), but if it starts to seem like deliberate hiding, it's a problem.

Great, more quotes that will be mod-removed, making it even harder to follow.

I echo 1661; I find it hard to believe in a game with this many unknowns that a one-shot vig
wouldn't
use his ability.

Dont' really see the bristep thing at all. At least kid's trying. If for whatever reason this comes down to emp/bristep for some reason, I'm voting emp.

That said, I wish we wouldn't give up on the GMan wagon so quickly. The claim makes him look worse IMO, not better.

I agree with the first paragraph of the above (1868). Even if you buy the attack was real, there's no reason specifically to rule out bussing.

gut punch Gman

Here's the problem with his "I was blocked" argument. Any protown roleblocker would know better, regardless of whether they believed the claim, and any scum probably wouldn't risk "blocking" him (again, only if they believed him) in the event there was a watcher (or whatever it's called) that would see them do it. I find it too convenient that he claimed something that exonerated him when close to death, then *surprise* the effect was negated, leaving us with nothing but his word and an unprovable claim.

To review:

(1) GMan plays scummily, all want to lynch
(2) Claims one-shot. Warily, people move away
(3) Day comes, nothing happened, GMan says his power is gone
(4) Several people pile on GMan
(5) Wagon stalls, nothing happens
(6) We almost lynch him, save for "votes" instead of moves
(7) Wagon stalls, nothing happens

This to me is textbook "What Happens When Scum Is About To Be Lynched By Ambivalent Town." Namely, his teammates feel emboldened enough by collective indecision to subtly steer things another direction.

If that's too vague someone yell something. Not sure how much info I'm supposed to give away.
