Hopefully this explains satisfactorily why I called bullshit on Mist's original "I can talk to other members of my family at Night" claim. But obviously that's not the only reason I claimed; I used my power last Night. There are exactly two threats to the Town that were on the Mist7676 wagon yesterday.

Now, there's two reasons I'm claiming now. The first is obviously that this could be very valuable information as more people flip, and I wanted to make sure I got it out there before I died. The second is that the majority of the anti-town players were off of the Mist wagon, which is interesting in more than one way. In addition to the obvious 'We have higher odds on lynches of people off of the Mist wagon', I'm also curious as to why so many scum stayed off of what looked like an easy mislynch. I think it was Fonz that mentioned yesterday that Scum had no reason to jump to the VI-Town wagon if there were multiple Competent-Town wagons that were viable, and that looks like it may have been the case.

Cops aren't in all games; Mods are starting more and more to use alternative information roles in lieu of Cops. Oh look, I was an alternative information role, one arguably as strong as a Cop.

Flavour=God is an easy way to get killed. See my Harry Potter Mafia game from this summer, when RC was bandwagoned to a claim D1, used his Dumbledore safeclaim, and wasn't looked at twice the rest of the game, even though his mechanics claims was one of the worst I've ever seen - and kept changing.

I lied yesterday; I needed a way to get my info out there and not be killed, since I'm actually a 2-shot Sensor.

I still don't think making it a 2-shot Sensor was a huge mistake. One shot is almost useless until right before endgame if the Scum are proportionally on the lynchwagon. Besides, I think we can all agree that a Sensor action is one of the best ones in the game; and for that reason I think that when either scumteam decided to leave me unkilled/unblocked the night after my 1-shot claim, they should have known that they were playing with fire. And after my 2nd shot was claimed, I think killing me was just a huge mistake.

Mari technically wasn't a threat to the town... so... yeah I don't really get how that was a bad call.

Like I said...What if Mari and Bart are alive in at then end with a scum and only those 3 are left?

That possibility alone makes that role a major threat to the town....as her goal would then to be to actually sink the town....and, very simply, her goal at the time the senses went down was to kill Bart.

You may not be used to MafiaScum terminology. A "threat to the Town" means that that person's win condition is

mutually-exclusive

with the Town's win condition; ie: It is

impossible

for both them and the Town to win.

While the setup was obviously very swingy, based largely on the Sensor role, I do think it was a well-designed and well-run game, and I thank the Mod and backup/reviewers for a great game. As I mentioned briefly in the Graveyard QT, this will be my last game of Mafia on MafiaScum, and I can honestly say I'm very happy I ended up choosing this one to close out my playing days. It was always entertaining, and I followed it closely even after my death; it was a chance to explore how to try and maximize a role I had never been before; and also because I won! But most importantly, it was a very good example of how no matter how well or poorly either side of a game of Mafia plays, luck will always be a part of it, and so it was here:

The most obvious reason for not having any roles be 'Sensor-Immune' is that it's impossible to define what immunity from Sensor is. None of: "Always shows up as off the wagon", "Always shows up as on the wagon", and "Always shows up as the opposite of what he was" are strictly better than the others; and it wouldn't be uncommon for a GF who is 'Immune' to Sensors to end up getting screwed by the 'Immunity'.
