So I got to page 16. Main thing I have to say is that the public declaration of a nuke is more than enough in terms of keeping a player accountable. If say, A nukes someone who town disagrees upon, and refuses to recall nuke with VI-stubborness, then A is in need of a nice nuking himself.
In essence, town gets to vote in a sense upon a nuking AFTER the nuke is launched, not before. As baby spice said, there is 3 days to recall the nuke. Pressure and subsequent discussion of a nuke is pro-town.

As for toog vs spyspy, I think what is at hand is a clash in playstyles. RC put it pretty well, in that you should pick what you are comfortable with. I see toog's argument in terms of preventing scum from taking roles like sub though.

There was something else I wanted to ask, but it has slipped my mind for the meantime.

exactly have you done that rules you out as a Fate buddy, since you brought that up? IIRC, you never had much interaction--and his master plan only working if you're Russian is a major point against you. Am I forgetting something?

Well, while it's true we never had that much interaction I think there's things there that I'd never do with a scumbuddy. There's stuff where's he telling me to lift my game or he'll put me on his nuke list, first of all I'd be pissed at him saying that to me if we were scumbuddies, but I'd ignore it and not respond. There's also the fact my response to Kats nuking fate was pretty much calling kats confirmed scum. I think it's obvious I'm not chinese, as I'd never nuke my own scumbuddy.

See, my problem is that Faraday is more overtly protown than the Kitoari/SharkFinn slot (read: not making any idiotic arguments). But I know that he's a lot more level-headed as scum than town. He's been very passive and go-with-the-flow. For example, when the SX vs. Fate battle was going on, he didn't complain loudly about the stupidity of it (which he did in [REDACTED]). Faraday, why do you think I was so eager to get you to nuke first? I'd thought I'd pretty much claimed scum with this post, but that's actually an accurate description of why I played terribly today. My problem is I tend to waffle and freeze up under pressure as scum, so I don't play well unless I have a comfortable margin of error.

I thought you were just being self deprecating as usual As for freezing under pressure well, you should have been under no pressure here you'd nothing to lose as the chinese scum were so bad. In general though just don't get so wound up, I guess? I mean your waffling makes you look town (imo) too.

In the mean time, I apologize for pushing AV so hard to be nuked first. In retrospect, I should have tried to nuke Faraday first (claiming he HAD to be Russian)--or hell, even caved to SX's pressure and nuked him (I didn't realize it would be my only chance ;_;). But the alternate plan seemed to be for me to be nuked first. And I fell too much into a townie mindset and backed myself into a corner. It was hard to push a scum agenda AND be the towniest player in the game at the same time, so I ended up failing at both.

On the last day? I'd have nuked you right back like a boss. Av pretty much claimed scum in his first post of the day, so yeah there was no way you could have justified a nuke on anyone not him at that point I think. maybe.
