Catching Up/Weighing In

JaBOC—covered for the moment; awaiting new material to parse and evaluate. Comment about needing to calm down is either extremely frustrated townie or really scumtastic. When he comes back out to play again, we'll see.

Zwet—Castlevania and Chess—Lost S1. Those are my past experiences with Zwet and Chess. Not seeing much different in either one here so far. Both of you.

Things of Note

Lady LD does not vote JaBOC, but her comment to Mafuyu (post 103) seems to be encouraging the BW on JaBOC though she has avoided joining it herself.

Diddin comes in during the middle of the JaBOC discussion, repeats what’s already been said about JaBOC, votes for JaBOC, then makes a crack about Chesskid not posting content. Hm. Diddin hops on a JaBOC BW with his vote, and then hops on a “Boo CK” wagon as well. Note: he calls CK out for not posting content when CK calls the JaBOC wagon scummy. Possible deflection? Not really enough information to call it yet.

Mothrax also comes in during the middle of the JaBOC discussion and votes without contributing new and exciting ideas.

I think joining a discussion midstream and hopping on the biggest BW while not adding new insight (Diddin and Mothrax) is questionable, but it’s still very early in the game and there’s not really much new insight to add since JaBOC has put himself in timeout. However, NOT joining the bandwagon and encouraging others to consider it is scummy.

I only held off on the wagon vote, to see who jumped on it. It seemed more useful to gather information than simply jumping on the wagon, with so little information (only based off a personal meta)

He's more than his role. He's a giant VI. And if he's town and is going to use his ability (if he doesn't then he's effectively a vanilla VI), he should use it early. Even if he hits two scum and turns them into goons, doing it right before the end isn't going to do us nearly as much good as doing it early. Plus, then he'd be posting until then and that would be terrible.

Another explanation would be scrambled flavor because Nayru's love fits the mod flavor so far (though I believe mods can be sneaky enough to give a scum role Nayru's love with Nayru as safeclaim to lead people off-track). After all I was a goon as a pregnant woman in Reck's last game.

I'm also wary of zwet's claim. I personally wouldn't wanna have Barinade on my side. And he first called miller cpr doc and now is reflexive cpr doc, which makes him un-targetable by any non-verdant role.

Respectively, the three goddesses who are the protectors of those 3 races, would have the same elemental alignment.

I'm not a great scumhunter, nor am I an experienced mafia player, but there is one thing I do know. That being this Zelda flavor. I guarantee that these elemental alignments will extend to the goddesses. Why do you thinik in the game, it shows Faeore flying over Kokiri forest? Din flying over Death Mountain? Nayru flying past the entrance to Zora's Domain?

It's because they are the guardians of those three sacred races to the land of Hyrule.

I can give you a good reason. Flavor-wise Nayru isn't aquatic in the game, why should she be here, when it's evident that not every role is aligned to Aquatic, Verdant and (mountain-like)? Not everyone will have an element, because not all races in this game are part of the 3 sacred ones. Link would not have an element, nor would Princess Zelda. Nor would Ganondorf, Inigo, Malon, Talon, Impah, and of the Kakariko Village people.

1. The push against Cupcake, based upon the assumption that Cupcake's claim is false. This would be fine... if he had any real reason to suspect this. The reason he gave for suspecting it: " Aquatic is not an elemental modifier for the Goddess Nayru". I proved that Aquatic is most likely a Modifier for Nayru, so there still remains the question of "What exactly is Ythan's problem with Cupcake's claim?"

2. When I try an prove that Nayru can be aquatic, Ythan tries to derail all arguments with illogical banter. I will admit I got into this too, after he instigated it... but I do my best to raise a point, that Ythan doesn't want raised, and thus he comes along and tries to smother it in meaning posts.

3. He's spammed this thread with posts that repeat things he's said a thousand times, and arguments that have no real relevance. I will admit to aiding this, by getting into the fight with Ythan, but this does not excuse him.

4. None of his arguments so far have been anything more than "It's right because I know it is, and you should believe me". This is just ridiculous. How can me to debate with him, when he only posts his subjective beliefs, with no objective proof or logical theory?

5. Just recently, he has avoided answering a simple question, and then accuses me of role fishing. The question would reveal nothing about his role, or it's alignment or power... yet he still refuses. Why?

Incorrect. It's that Cupcake STATES it to be activated, rather than a response. But hey, now it's a matter of discussing whether or not this implies that Cupcake activated an ability for the day cycle (and therefore why, as cycle-protect abilities are better used either A. At night or B. Late-daygame) or that Cupcake has just been caught in a lie in that they've only crafted the end result without actually considering whether to call it a BP ability, a reflexive shield ability, or any other justification.

I'm going to propose my theory again.

NOTE THAT THIS IS ALL SPECULATION BASED UPON THE BELIEF THAT CUPCAKE'S CLAIM/POWER IS REAL/TRUE

Cupcake, as Nayru, can protect ANY player at the beginning of the day. How long this would last is irrelevant, and I am unable to make speculation for it at this time.

If the above is true, then it explains why Cupcake activated her ability. If it was only self protection, then what would be the point in having it be active? Passive would be more likely. I thus theorize that either:

Cupcake is lying about the ability (not my personal belief, obviously)

OR

Cupcake's ability must have a REASON to be active.

If we go with the second option, the only logical reason I can see for it being active, are one of the 2 following.

1. Cupcake can only use the ability a certain amount of times in the game/the ability must re-charge.
2. Cupcake has the ability to protect ANY player of her choice with this power.

If the power has a refractory period, or limited usage, why would she use it Day 1? It's a waste, especially in a game with 27 other targets for people to choose from. (Despite this fact, Cupcake /WAS/ targetted... but I'm just supposing)

This leads me to one conclusion.

If Cupcake's power/claim is true, then Cupcake will most likely be able to choose the person she protects at the beginning of the day phase. This must include self protection.

My vote is currently on Ythan, for voting based off Cupcake's claim. He had no evidence to prove it was fake, just his instinct. My instinct is that he was trying to push that lynch way too hard, and had completely discounted the claim, without giving it a second glance. It was scummy to me.

Since then, my main problem with Ythan is his refusal to answer questions. He bases it off the fact that he thinks they are inferior to his intellect. Essentially, he doesn't want to waste his precious time, answering a question for me. I think it's scum avoiding the question. It could be interpreted as overly cocky town. I don't see it that way, and that's why we fight.

Many people have complained that the Ythan-Me argument is getting the town nowhere. Fast.

I tend to agree on this... but I really don't want to just drop off Ythan wagon like that. I have a strong feeling he's scum (he'd disagree, and say he has a strong feeling I'm scum, but I digress).

Cupcake hobbled together a fakeclaim based on scraps from other claims. Adds a quote from the top of the first google result for "Nayru", in the same format. She hasn't given any more since. Lady L makes the argument that Nayru must be aquatic because the Zora are, and Kokiri are verdant. Except the Kokiri are not verdant and the only reference we have seen to that word is that Barinade, a jellyfish, is not, as part of a miller claim. Verdant clearly means what it always means in the Zelda universe, and not forest-related. So Lady's defense of the fakeclaim is built on air. I'm basing my vote on a few things.

First off, I'd rather see Ythan lynched, but we've determined that Ythan/Me/Cupcake is null for today, and that road is not worth pushing.

I am now pushing for a GIS lynch, because of several contradictions, including the one I pointed out.

Also, I feel that Gandalf is trying to play up Shotty's VI status too much. Why would you Hydra with him, if you're just going to bash him for being a VI? It seems to me like he's doing it to cover for shotty's mistakes. The only reason you would do that, is if you were scum.

Thirdly, and I know this isn't a good reason to lynch someone, but I don't trust Gandalf/Shotty in a vanilla-less game, to use their power effectively, and for town benefit. Also, their softclaims so far have just been weird.

Do you need more reasons? I can read his ISO again, and find more evidence if needed.

Throughout his ISO, it is the opinion of Substrike that CH3 is probably a JESTER. This speculation is seen even in the same post as his VOTE on CH3. A huge contradiction.

Contradiction: In general terms, why would you want to lynch a Jester? It's illogical. It is to the benefit of neither town NOR scum. Ergo, it is hard for me to believe he thinks CH3 is a Jester, and keeps his vote on him.
