ok first off its a way to get us out of this rvs.
second with it being ten players its larger enough that scum would not be able to dominate it,

third with it only being 10 players its not large enough to take over the town, at least not day 1.

fourth it makes a game with in a game wich makes it eaier to find scumm in my opinion.

fith since we cannot pm one another about the game all talk with in the pact will be in the full view of the entire town, thus makeing it easier to see slips tells etc.

sixth it forces conversation, wether you are for or agianst it, then if it actually gets started it forces active participation. since people will be trying to move the pact forward or trying to tear it down either way it works

@sanhora, i feel its highly unlikely that the scum would have enough numbers to make up a majority in a 10 player group, and even so some scum from that scum group would aviod it like the plague, so purely by numbers alone the pact would be mostly town driven. and it is useful since it put a large minority soon to be majority under a mirco scope, its far easy to hide in a large pond than it is to hide in a small one.

I think I agree that tubby's suggestion ultimately boils down to a distraction for the town.

And if, like in a number of setups (as far as I know), there are five or six scum split into a couple of families, then yes, the group certainly could wind up imbalanced.

your close but competing wagons are win. especially in a game this large. it aviods the town from getting tunnel visioned and puts equal pressure on two possible scum players.


why i think the pact is a good idea.

i was taught the only way to eat an elephant is one bite at a time but what if we can turn that elephant into say a much more managable thing like a Hero samwich?
By having a pact of ten players you no longer have to worry about them and they inturn become one voice or one player wich makes it a 13 player game.

Holy shit! Only 300 odd posts after he voted, and multiple requests, does he give a terrible reason for his vote.


A pact can only benifit scum. With the posibility of scum being in a neighbourhood it is quite possible for 4 or 5 players who can communicate in a hidden manner from the pact, to direct that pact's voting. A 10 man pact will be very quickly able to lynch everyone not in the pact. Especially in a game with no lynch limitations.

Even if all the scum in a faction don't get into the pact, those that do will be able to direct the pact away from the other members until NK's and Vig kills open up enough space.

If the pact does gain control of the game, and they will, and the scum gain control of the pact, in this game there will be no chance for any town vig's to take out the suspicious ones.

Even if Tubby is town, something I seriously doubt, the idea is so scummy that we should as a matter of course establish the alignment of the proposer.

If you think that the Miller deserves a policy lynch for claiming Miller, then Tubby equally deserves one for ssuch a scummy suggestion.

tubby, Annachie. Bogre is no threat, and he's up for a lynch not because of what he did but because of what he claims to be. He will be lynched, don't get me wrong; but it would be much more useful if we waited until the end of the day and saw how he interacted with people. If he's scum, we get a clearer view of his connections. If he's town, we get a handful of reads out of it. Either way, it's better to keep him alive for a while.

what i was trying to say is that charters play today struck me as town cause its how i play when there are alot of new faces/alts. If I know i make my self scummish i can avoid a lynch and also a nite kill. It also gives me the oppurtunity to gage those jumping on my wagon with little to no thought. there by smoking out the scum with with a lil more ease. Also i have never seen charter pull this as town or scum so i figured he was trying something new. This stratagey does not work well for scum since if you push too hard you get lynched.

Total: 23 players
Town: 16 players
Italian Mafia: 3 players
Russian Mafia: 3 players
Third party (serial killer): 1 player
Roccisi Masonry: 2 townies
Upper Roccisi Neighborhood: 1 Italian mafioso, 1 Russian mafioso
Lower Roccisi Neighborhood: 1 serial killer, 1 townie
Seaside Neighborhood: 2 townies

Obviously we shouldn't expect identical setups.

not quite a pissing contest. I laid information that lead me to believe that he is scum, and he used a bunch of profanity and personal attacks.

Notice that he didn't say what he was doing during that interval when the Neopi lynch was going down. All of that piss was distraction to keep everyone from noticing:
1. He doesn't have a case on the Buttonmen, and yet he has The Buttonmen near the top of his scumlist throughout the game.
2. He actually ignores the Buttonmen, while dropping the names of his lessor suspects many more times.
3. His hostility towards me started very early in the game, as soon as I explicitly stated in he game thread the Pytor = Crypto.
4. He did not offer to tell us where he was during that critical interval. No "you fucking fool I was at dinner" -- instead he offered a list of

hypothetical

activities he could have been engaged in.
5. That his profanity is chosen for effect, not as a genuine display of frustrated emotion. Note the BBCode tage, both their quantity and how he doesn't mess them up in his "emotional" posts.

the thing that i am hung up the most on is you relying so much on your neighbor. Why would you or anyone scum or town rely so heavily on their neighbor? if i were a cop of any kind my first investigation would be of someone in my hood. look here is my defense because cobalt has been tunneled on me since day 1 in the QT.

I believe I am the only one left in our qt(if not the game)

I was questioning the set up and trying to break the game early. i wanted a claim wih in the neighbor hood, in fact i advocated us keeping our result inside the hood. thereby hoping to clear our members of the neighborhood. i felt a cleared neighborhood would be a good thing. however cobalt opposed all of those things and screamed for my head.

Since noone wanted to listen to me i gave up and have not posted in the qt since i realized it was futile.

but essentially i have given up I tried.

by the way I am town i have no abilities outside of what i share with cobalt and elvis in out neighborhood.

My whole thing with DGB is based of Adel. In the first roccisi the mini adel meta'd the shgit out of me and we lost i was scum. Adel replaced into a large game i was playing I believe mafia 88 or something(need to check my wiki and i don't have time) but anyway same thing only this time adel was scum and i was to afriad to pull the trigger and get him lynched. now fast forward to present day. Adel comes out dominating the town forcing it to do his will wich we all pretty much followed. I did as well thinkin adel must be town. But when DGB replaced and she came in guns blazin and dominating the post count (wich i have never seen her do) the thought crossed my mind that that slot may be a scum slot. fortuneately i was wrong.
