Something's bugging me about Vi right now, but I can't point my finger on it. DrippingGoofball is acting exactly as I expect her to, so still no read.

At the end of the day, if elvis is a caught scum cop, she is still far, far more dangerous to the other mafia than us. They need to kill her off. We don't, at least until dangerous numbers start to loom.

What players care about splitting scum factions, and making theories are scum factions? I say that having been scum in games with multiple scum factions. It's the scum. The town has difficulty enough separating the townies, lurkers, village idiots, from the scum, they don't care about the color of the scumbag they string up.

Scumz, on the other hand, are always exquisitely aware of competing factions. They fear the NK, and they hope to cross-kill. It's good the the town, because it forces them to actively scum hunt during the day. Also, we have the bonus scumtell of scumz obsessing over their competitors.

DGB’s 858 is an awesome tour de force of scumhunting. I doubt it’s actually right, but it’s produced good results. Faraday’s reply seems to be more picking at words than addressing the case itself: he makes an irrelevant point about the second scumgroup, and attacks old opinions of DGB’s. Neither of these is relevant here. He also claims that other things in Plum’s post did register – this is a non-argument, as the point being made is that they didn’t register originally – you can’t correct a scummy action after you’ve been called on it. Faraday’s response, rather than the initial case, makes me think him scum. If he’d said “that’s a pretty terrible, reaching, overelaborate scumtell”, I’d have some sympathy, but trying to pick at the factual accuracy of DGB’s idea stinks.

In the near future I am thinking about running this again (17 town - 5 mafia I think). That said:

- What roles would you like to see available?
- What roles should I nix?
- What overall should I change?
- What overall should I keep?

The next one I think I'm going to let the scum coordinate before the draft some. And, of course, I'm leaning on one big scumteam.
