Sorry for not posting right at daybreak, I wanted to wait and read the thread through based on any information of possible deaths last night.

Thus far, I really can see why the Santos wagon is going so quickly. I would also believe that there's a bit of ScumFuel in that wagon as well. After almost a year, the newbie card has no reason to be played. Claiming vanilla townie should never get you modkilled. Ever.

I intend to get a reread on a few other players soon as well.

Could you explain further? I mean, I implied from his statements that he was going to, you know, make a case if he needed to, so its not really setting up lynches.

- I had a townish read of rofl yesterday, and whilst there may be a substantial OMGUS factor, I'm beginning to feel like rofl is waiting to make his 'case' against me because his objective is not to discover whether I'm town, but to make sure I get lynched. He's waiting to see what happens with my wagon before he commits.

What's funny about that is how it's exactly what he's accused me of.

@Tar: I could see some benefit to a massclaim, but it might be risky for full claims. I could see at least either a name or comic claim, to try and help fish for scum, but it might help them fish for PRs too. Just kinda listing out some options here.

Aww, how cute. I have more posts than several other people D2 (of which, I remind you, I replaced in during N1), and you're calling me a lurker. I disagree that my vote is weak, because if Rofl really had a good case, he should be rushing to get it up, instead of trying to wait for a deadline lynch. It's been 11 days; far too long to say "I have a case" and yet have not had the ability to post it. Thus, I believe Rofl is scum, and want him lynched.

Well, we could start by asking "Does anybody else have a comic shared with those that we know are dead?" It's not exactly foolproof, but it takes care of one of the big concerns there. Also, if there were only one or two who shared a comic, then they could easily be figured out as one of them as scum.

Massclaim sounds like a really good plan at this point. I generally don't think about it until we're at LyLo, but we might be closer than I think we are.

The lack of votes on the wagon bothers me substantially. I'm sure there's at least one bus and one other scum (if they exist) on the wagon.

I'm really not liking Rofl's claim. I'm feeling "I want to elude to a PR, only because it won't get me lynched right now" is a likely possibility.

If people don't want to lynch Rofl, my second choice is Fishy. I don't like how he's attempting to pin the "erasing" to a group when we honestly don't know if they are the ones who do it (the flavor for Korlash's kill is with the animals, Rofl claims electrocution).

As for multiscum theories, I often find that scum groups are only labeled if the labels actually matter. Thus, I see no reason to not assume that there are two scum groups. Rofl is assuredly not in discontinued though, hence my desire to see him lynched to find out for certain.

Well, a hitman would be able to kill through RB/Doc, but has to perform the kill for the team. So I don't understand how you can think a mafia would have two kills a night.

i'm also anti massclaim. riceballtail is scum who is still sitting on his vote for me and doing nothing else, yet he's all too happy to nudge along the idea of a massclaim and out any more power roles he can.

Town has nothing to lose at this point. I see scum being defensive of massclaim because they know that they will look more townie for trying to prevent the outing of any more PRs, should they exist since we seem to have lost most of them at this point.

I agree with this statement. It's also part of why I don't like giving "general reads on everybody". That said, I'm feeling slightly scummy on Tar, just because someone being so pro-town would have most likely been NK'd by now.

1) N1 there was a claimed Cop alive, who's pretty obviously the Mafia kill. The vig kill not going my way is equally obvious. The only somewhat unusual death was poptajo, and there I suspect either one of the players poptajo suspected (SensFan?) or (more likely) an SK/second Mafia trying to look like vig.

Now consider N2. I claimed vanilla townie late D2. There was also a claimed doctor (obvious Mafia kill, especially since it's been modconfirmed by death scene) and a claimed Mason Recruiter with two surviving possible recruits, one of whom was the aforementioned doctor and the other I had softcleared D2 (obvious SK kill if we have an SK - killing delathi would remove any threat Vino's claimed role posed, and I wouldn't be too surprised if that scumbag guessed - correctly, as it turns out -- that since all the other Mason-related comics were power delathi would be too).

Why would I be scum killed when they've had so many better targets over the last two nights?

2) This argument is, in fact, inherently craplogic regardless of the reasoning presented above regarding why I haven't been killed. Specifically, RBT's argument boils down to the Too Townie fallacy ("you're playing so pro-town that you can't be town", through "you're playing so pro-town that there's no way scum wouldn't kill you").

Also, if you don't like general reads, why the hell didn't you come down on Fishy for doing exactly that last page?

Consider my town read on you shot.

This day has gone on long enough I feel like we should be on at least D4, if not D5. You have to remember that PRs are not always obvious targets. Stating they are targets is WIFOM. If I was scum, I would very seriously rather kill you, knowing you were town, than a second claimed cop. Especially considering that multiple cops have a chance of being different sanities.

I also never said that you were being "so town you must be scum". I said you were being "very town, and I'm surprised that scum wouldn't kill someone who was demonstrating that level of town behavior". The idea that you are trying to push that as craplogic is a blatant misrep. Vino's role could be very useful. It could also be extremely useful for scum to have a tap into that communication. I'm confident Vino is town, but I could see the other three being possible scum based purely on the mason recruiter. I think you are trying to overgeneralize things, and are thus hurting other people's views on who can or cannot be town.

I didn't crack down on Fishy for it because I've come to realize that most people consider them "good information for town" or "scumhunting". I tend to look at it as a report card so the scum can see exactly what they're doing wrong in someone's eyes to win them over as being town instead of scum. Because my playstyle is different, I don't tell other people what to do as town. When I play in newbie games, I specifically state that I don't play in the "typically accepted" town style. It gets funny looks, and votes from other players, but that's not my concern. My concern is to find scum.

So, you have, in that post, done two things.
1) Taken my bait.
2) Shot any hope of a town read for the rest of this game.
