Wow, as with most tar games, 6-7 pages in the first day is normal. But it's quite insane if you have no access to the thread during the day.

Pyro looks pretty scummy but he has enough votes on him and I'm not sure I want the day to end just yet. However,
unvote
my RV.

I'll try to read FL's game now.

Also, what about ssk's game? If all the games are identical, shouldn't there be a lost lover in that one too? Didn't both of our current lovers claim that they need to be reunited with their lover and not loverS? How do we deal with this possible triangle? What are the odds of these lovers being two scum who decided to play a little gamble? As has been pointed out earlier, all scum can talk together across games, so this is not an impossible scenario...

Does SSK's game have a cross-starred lover? If all three games are symmetrical, it'd stand to reason that there should be..

Seraphim wrote:Veerus...so far all your questions have about Benmage and a cross-starred lover in the other game. Hasn't anything else attracted your attention? What do you think of Pyromaniac?
I've also said that Pyro looks scummy but that I do not want to end the day just yet. I still stand by that. His claim doesn't make any sense to me. Unrecruitable townie implies possibility to recruit and to the best of my knowledge (and I admit I'm not familiar with some of the newer sets), there aren't a lot of cards that take physical control of the opponent's cards except the early control magics.

Kinetic, keep in mind that this game was not fully designed by Tar so some of the usual assumptions may not apply even though I'm sure he had a hand in the design...

Are we even sure mafia has the ability to outright night kill someone? If the entire game is card flavored, what cards are there that kill besides the old school terrors and the such? Counters may also be involved that limit killing abilities. It makes little sense to only have one death with a SK and mafia involved assuming traditional abilities.

Someone in one of the other games mentioned that kinetic's death might've been the result of him failing to do something which compares with his card's description (upkeep), which is not impossible. In addition, his comment "knew it" makes me think that he might've expected his death given his deduction abilities about game set ups and the likelyhood of him trying something that ended up backfiring. This is sort of supported by what I feel is a tar-hint in the flavor text:
But if he was not group scum... what happened to his kill? And, perhaps more importantly, who killed him?
If Kinetic had killed himself, you would have explicitly been told so (see Mind Screw Mafia for precedent). - Tar

Except that this game wasn't supposedly made up by Tar. I'm sure he helped, but he credited gurgi with the creation in the sign-up thread iirc.

Incorrect. I am the primary designer of this subgame. - Tar

Tar, so would it be safe to assume that the other games were primarily designed by their respective mods?

No. It would, however, be safe to assume that they were primarily designed by whichever one of the original three moderators (Tarhalindur, Lord Gurgi, Natirasha) was responsible for that subgame, and then modified to the current moderator's tastes. (For reference, Lord Gurgi was originally the primary moderator of FL's subgame, and Natirasha was originally the primary moderator of MafiaSSK's subgame.) - Tar

Papa Zito wrote:Is Tar always so helpful in his games?
He may drop hints or things that look like hints. Ultimately you won't know for sure how useful or helpful they are until after the end of the game. MS3 being a good example of that where he kind of directed me to kill actual scum who turned out to be a replaceable scum w/o a role reveal leading me to effectively waste my NK.

Zito, why are you pushing for Vito so hard? And could you also explain your reasoning for joining that absurd alliance in FL's game?

I think a better question is: Why aren't you pushing anyone at all?

I explained my reason for joining THE UNBREAKABLE ALLIANCE already. You seem to be reading the other games, why are you asking this again?
I'm not reading the other games.. more like skimming it. I did not remember your reasoning, quite possibly due to it being contained in a long post and I'm not about to re-read a game that has very little relevance to mine. So why don't you post it here?

You still haven't explained why you pushed Vito so hard out of the blue upon coming into the game? You really didn't have a case until Chaos did a pbpa which is completely circumstancial. Now granted, Vito's responses are worrysome, but the "you didn't do anything" argument is invalid as it could be applied to some degree to probably more than half the people in this game. This is also probably the reason why I haven't really pushed anyone. There's been more confusion about roles and modkills and night results than anything else.

I was always out of the woodwork. It's just that your sudden attacks on Vito caught my attention therefore I commented on it.

Sajin, sure, you're assuming he had a kill (a valid assumption), but how do you know it was in the stack before the action that killed him, or that he had unlimited kills (perhaps he had 1 or 2 kills and didn't think he'd get NK'd and wanted to save it)? Also, what's up with the Zito-like unexplained vote?

I missed your other post, Sajin. I'll try to explain.

What I meant by confusion is that I'm not sure who is who. Let me explain.

Pyro is supposedly an unrecruitable townie, but I'm having a hard time tying down any sort of a cult to a MTG theme'd game and card text doesn't really support that either. But yet everyone else seems ok with it... So am I reading too much into it?

Malthusis lurks hardcore, but then again, he always does. Is he being ignored because of meta or because the active players here are scum?

Mastin seems MIA and before that he seemed to comment more on other games than this one. Is that a scumtell?

Papa Zito appears in this game, attacks another player and then rides CO's case without really providing any evidence of his own. Given his nonsensical posting in his previous game, he's probably the one giving off the most scummy vibes to me right now.

In his defense though, there is a case that could be made against Vino. Many of his posts are fluff. However his claim sort of checks out with the card. And it is not unlike Tar to reject a night action due to incorrect submission.

ChaosOmega is another hardcore lurker it seems, but his analysis on Vino is fairly solid.

So anyway, most of this is speculation and that's generally not a good way to scum hunt. Thus the confusion, so I observe.

This post may be important. He agrees with the scum massing theory even though he himself was teleported here.

In SSK's game, Qwints did a lot of IIOA before an opportunistic vote on zwet despite the claim and the card that supported it.

Then, in this game, he once again just attached himself to the current wagon and hammered our (incompetent) doctor.

unvote vote malthuis
To spell it out: there are 5 people alive who were originally in tars game. 2 (me and animo) are confirmed. That means that all the scum, at least 2 probably 2, is in those 3 players. Meaning that is you lynch one you have an insane chance to hit scum.
This makes sense. And I know I'm town (tajo could've proved it but he died too early). Therefore:
