If I picked a live player at random who might be Nasubi, I think I would have a 10% chance of picking Nasubi.

This is post 42. I don't see how it confirms you.
OK, see, at the time I wrote that there were 13 players in the game, including myself. Meaning there were 12 players other than myself. But the only way there could be a 10% chance of me picking Nasubi would be if there were only 10 possibilities, which there were, because I knew of two other players who are not Nasubi. Knowing that before any discussion of it came about (which I was hoping would NOT come about, hence my subtlety) confirms me absolutely. See?

Nothing better to do in mixed company than to talk about how zwet's lynch means that Nasubi starves to death. :/

Assuming the game isn't already lost based on this little discussion, we need more information that will keep Nasubi alive without endangering him or the people most important to his survival.

Also, I don't understand this:

Keep guessing. And how would this work in a mafia game?
You wake up in the morning, and the first thing you notice is: Nasubi's room looks different. Also, one of the oldest posters in your forum has stopped posting - your hero was among you the whole time and you never noticed!
- IOW, he gets removed from the game, and we move on.
So, you think that in a game called, SAVING NASUBI, that Nasubi can die and the game just moves on? That makes no sense to me.
I wholeheartedly agree with all of this.

But I'll mention that the mod made a real point of telling us the dogfood was in a bag...so it wasn't canned goods as DGB claimed to have. This may or may not be significant.

Is there any reason why DGB would have said "canned goods" and not "dogfood"?

And why would a Nasubi Saver be sending him frickin' dogfood, anyways?

It's more believable to me than camera guy who sends dog food.
But why not just say dogfood ahead of time? Why be secretive, especially considering something like this might happen?

(Although I admit, I wouldn't feel especially pro-town to have a role that involved sending dogfood to a hungry man.)

I don't for one minute believe Sajin sent the dogfood. Is there anyone/anywhere else it might have come from?

Sajin wrote:I am a watcher thats always on nasubi. I did not know his login name, and I cannot be on anyone else.
I find this to be extremely believeable, though I'm still not sure whether you're town or scum.
Sajin wrote:Nasubi recieved a visit from Llamafluff and elvis night 2.

Last night: He was visited by farside, zwett and DGB.
Anyone have any issue with any of this?
Sajin wrote:My vague passive ability: If nasubi is going to run out of food I can give him some of my spare food. I don't even know if it triggered or not last night (its vague and nasubi was at no food left according to seraphim, so it may have triggered)
The above is where I get a little suspicious.
Sajin wrote:There is no reason for a doctor to exist in this setup. If nasubi was nightkillable night 1, this setup would be broken as we lose if nasubi is not saved. I assume nasubi is not nightkillable as long as he has food.
If elvis' claim were true, where is the eggplant in the flavor scene?

If nasubi were really nightkillable without a doctor scum would of followed the 2 step path of: elvis- seraphim.
The lack of eggplant doesn't really bother me (for the record, I find elvis' roleclaim to be very believeable as well), but the second paragraph here is a valid point.

Hmmm....

Camn, can you explain exactly why you considered elvis soft-confirmed?

The flavor of my non-nasubi knowledge. I did not know if yours was the same or not, but in the off chance they were I figured it could not hurt.
Your supposed role (purple fruit, emergency food, loving things) is getting way too convoluted, whereas I find elvis' to be 100% believable.

Yeah...I haven't meant to. I pounce when I see something, but don't always have anything to say when I don't.
camn wrote:Ps. I bet Elvis is scum, too. She is good enough to have cooked up Sajin's crazy claim to quasi-clear ONE of them. Plus, I see shaft.ed mentioned Eggplant in the N2 flavor? "His eggplant swinging around wildly". So E_K falls from the ranks of soft-cleared.

But Sajin is the priority-lynch.
I dunno. Elvis might be good, but her claim is SO believeable for this game, and is much more in line with a town role than scum. Plus, having four Denpa Shonen roles, two town and two scum, makes sense to me...and that's what we'd be looking at, right?

DGB (apparently) sent dogfood...
dogfood
!

I'm not convinced that's a townie thing to do, and her reluctance to admit what she'd be sending is worth noting.

But yes, Sajin needs to go now.

Well, as I said before, Sajin's original role claim was extremely believeable.

My vote probably stands, although I do need a re-read to check one thing.

As for Sajin...wow. I was more convinced he was scum than I've ever been about anyone before. Oh well, I hope he was right about his gambit being beneficial.

Do you know with 100% certainty that the ice cream is coming from Farside? (I mean, I certainly think it is, but it's a little peculiar that you would know who supplied the ice cream but not the dogfood.)

Why would you think that? I claimed the ice cream distributer 2 days ago. It's obviously coming from me if no one is saying they did it. Why would you think differently at this point?
Waiting for DGB's claim but seeing so far no claim about dog food it's a good guess it's from her
Don't misunderstand--I absolutely do think you're providing the ice cream. I just was wondering exactly what information was being provided in Seraphim's PMs.

I protected Seraphim instead, hoping the mafia would go for the instant-win.

Fair enough. My choice is between you and DGB. Leaning towards DGB as scum because of the strength of your roleclaim (although Sajin's original claim was pretty darn believeable also) and DGB's reluctance to claim dogfood, although we need to discuss further. camn is 100% town, and it should be clear that I am town also. Hopefully there were others with the vanilla role (besides Sajin, who was intentionally obtuse) that confirmed what camn and I were talking about somewhere along the line.

And how on earth do you trust DGB?

The remaining scum is either DGB or elvis...It may be elvis, but damn her roleclaim seems legit...and why would a scum be censoring Nasubi?

I don't really doubt that you're sending the dogfood...it's just that being "hard-cleared" implied to me that you're town...which I'm not sure about, given the strength of elvis' claim and your reluctance to claim dogfood beforehand.

I'm certainly interested in anything Seraphim can clarify, and who he thinks is scum.

I also noticed the apparent discrepancy in elvis' claim that he pointed out recently.

Assuming there's one scum left and it's either elvis or DGB...

There are six of us left in the game. Lynching elvis leaves five. If elvis flips town, DGB killing someone leaves four, and then three townies lynch DGB for the win.

Is there any problem with this?

The only issue I can see is if farside is somehow scum. Camn, Seraphim, and I are clearly confirmed.

While I can't be totally sure (Sajin flipping town really was a learning experience), I don't really see any candidates other than you and elvis, and it doesn't look like the two of you are working together.

Given that I for one am starting to lean toward lynching elvis first, what do you think of the plan?

I know my alignment, so of course lynching elvis first is the better course of action from my perspective.

Can someone explain exactly what doesn't fly in her claim? I want to make sure I got it right.
While I have more reading to do, I believe she's wavered back and forth between being a traditional doctor, and being just someone who keeps Nasubi immune from nightkilling just by being alive.

Note that the eggplant made an appearance in Day 2...before Nasubi's identity was known.

I think this will be for the win. If not, we lynch DGB. I don't see any flaw in this plan.

Explain this please.

I am starting to think your "breadcrumb" was just an accident, and that you are sharp enough to try and latch onto my awesomeness.

2 scum is unbalanced if Nasubi is un-NKable.... which he is if Elvis is not the doc. Thus Elvis being the Last Scum is less likely!

2 scum is more balanced if Nasubi IS nightkillable... but 3 scum makes even more sense.

SO, explain.
Also, who were your non-nasubis? And HOW did you know they were not Nasubi, from a flavor standpoint?
Yeah, THREE MINUTES LATER I posted something that I thought would make me, you know, not seem stupid if I didn't want to use that breadcrumb after all.

Go ahead and see if I posted ANYTHING else peculiar--and then ask yourself what are the chances that I would have come up with something like that and just gotten lucky.

My two non-Nasubis were you and Sajin.

I know two scum seems low, but I'm convinced you're town (and as far as I'm concerned, you of all people should be MORE convinced that I am), and I have already explained that elvis and DGB look like the only real candidates to me, and it doesn't look like they're working together.

If lynching DGB now seems safer to everyone, I am willing to do that if everyone promises we'll lynch elvis immediately afterward if DGB flips town. Otherwise, my vote will stay on elvis.

Oh and also, note that I posted confirming my vanilla townie role a mere three minutes after you said anything about it, camn.

I like to think I'm a good player, but I'm not psychic or superhuman. I'm not trying to be overly defensive, but I feel like suspicion of me, when I should be sufficiently cleared, is jeopardizing what should be a secure win.

Glad I had time to check this. As I've posted in all my other threads, I will be away for the next 48 hours or so. I have family coming in for my graduation (I have no idea why the ceremony is on a Thursday).

Quick thoughts:

I was surprised that a scum still remains. I had thought it was either elvis or DGB, not both.

Where is Nasubi?
He (Seraphim) must truly not be NK-able by regular means...but where'd he go?

camn's NK makes me suspicious of farside, who seemed to be the most cleared townie (other than Nasubi), although camn was fairly cleared herself.

I wish camn hadn't gotten all suspicious of me near the end there, as she was the only one left in the game who knew what the vanilla PM stated. I remain confident that my very early breadcrumbing, and the reaction of everyone else who had the vanilla role, clears me sufficiently.

I need to go back and check the interaction between elvis and DGB--does it clear DGB, or were they working in cahoots?

Scum is clearly either farside or DGB, both of whom send food--so that's no longer any kind of clearing factor.

The lack of comment about farside's icecream, which I have no doubt that she sent, probably doesn't mean anything, as we can't see Nasubi. I wonder if Seraphim can even post?

Seraphim HAS eaten the ice cream before, but not the dogfood as far as I know, so that may be a point in farside's favor.

We should absolutely no-lynch. That will narrow down the field and leave the winning or losing vote in your hands. I am not scum, and will happily defend myself tomorrow should I still be around, but there's no point doing it now.

Vote: No Lynch

I see absolutely no pro-town reason why we should lynch someone today and possibly hand the scum a win. I'm looking at you, DGB.

Either you're not paying attention, or you're scum pretending to not pay attention. camn was nightkilled. There is no reason for me to die, as my breadcrumbing should confirm me as town. There is no reason not to no-lynch today, and allow Nasubi to make the final call.

EBWOP: The no-lynch is not just to put the effort into Nasubi's hands, of course...it is to narrow down his list of lynch candidates. There is no pro-town reason not to do that, and there is no pro-town reason for DGB repeatedly avoiding the subject.

I know Seraphim is not scum.
I know farside is not scum.
I know that I'm not scum.

Yet the game hasn't ended. So there is one more scum. That scum is you.

IF we "no lynch," tomorrow the game will have you, Seraphim, and another townie. If we no lynch, you'll be in a way better position to win the game for yourself and your scumpals.

So if you don't mind. We're lynching scum for the win. I'm sorry it has to be you! But such is life.
Either you are scum, and/or you are posting from Bizarro World. I am the most confirmed of anyone, save Nasubi!

Let's say I am scum, which I'm not. Explain why I would be in a better position to win if we no-lynch. If you can provide some explanation that makes sense, perhaps I will re-think my desire for a no-lynch, as I don't want to put the scum in any better position to win. If you can't provide such an explanation, it's gonna make you look pretty bad, huh?

You're scum. That's why it makes sense.
No, I'm not scum, and that made no sense.

Explain why we should not do a no-lynch and narrow the field.

THEN, if you insist on declaring me scum and everyone else town, you can share your logic. I breadcrumbed my role early on, and every other vanilla townie knew it. I hope all remaining townies do a re-read.

For the record, this is a misrepresentation of what I said.

My exact words were "I am the most confirmed of anyone, save Nasubi!"

Not that you deserve the benefit of the doubt here, but I was using "save" as a synonym for "except for", not as a verb.

DrippingGoofball wrote:All other players are actually proven except you. Good luck convincing the others to no lynch.
And how exactly do you think you (and, for that matter, farside) are "proven"? Because you send food? The Genitals Censor was scum, but you're really pretending that a Dogfood Sender couldn't be?

On the off chance that you are town, I need you to understand that you are playing very, very anti-town here...not only are you claiming things are "proven" when they're not, but you're advocating an immediate lynch that will give the scum the win.

Why are you so terrified about doing a no-lynch and sending this to the finals?

DrippingGoofball wrote:I'm pretty sure farside is town regardless of her ice cream truck. I believe Seraphim. So you're scum.
See that's funny, because you just thought it was "proven", now you're just "pretty sure". You believe Seraphim about what?

Seraphim, since this game is still going, one of the players sending you food is scum. This is fact. My lynch would prove that to you, but my lynch would also lead to a scum win, which is why I am supporting your no-lynch proposition.
DrippingGoofball wrote:Ugh? There's one scum left, and that's not me, farside or Seraphim. How is this anti-town?
Because you're totally wrong. I'm actually thankful you're "clearing" farside, though...it proves your scumminess.
DrippingGoofball wrote:I'm in a hurry to win. I want to retire from mafia.
I don't need to say a word about how completely anti-town this is. That's your only reason?

farside, how do you feel about a no-lynch?

How do you feel about DGB's behavior?

If you're town, know that I am town too (it's funny how DGB keeps going on about "proof" when I'm the only one who actually proved my alignment), and one of us will die tonight if we no-lynch. But it puts Nasubi in a good place to cast the deciding vote.

From my perspective, that would have to be farside, if what you say is true. But it's not farside. It's you. You're the scum.
No, I'm not, and if you're town you are making a huge mistake with your tunneling, your bogus claims of "proof", and your refusal to help no-lynch us to better odds.

But, you're probably scum.

That means nothing next to ice cream delivery.
Again, the freaking Genitals Censor was scum, so don't pretend a food sender can't be.

Oh I get it--you're totally the scum. You have to pretend that sending food is an automatic clear, because otherwise, anyone knows to pick the ice cream person over the dogfood person when it finally comes to that!

Well, I really really think DGB is the scum, but it could be you. The no-lynch gives us less of a pool to look at, and I see no downside whatsoever.

This is so totally incorrect. Lynching me would be an immediate win for the scum.

There is absolutely no downside to doing a no-lynch.

Seraphim.

A mislynch here ends the game with a scum win.

I am a vanilla townie. I breadcrumbed my role early on.

DGB's arguments consist of just calling me scum a lot, and pretending that sending food means someone is cleared. AGAIN, the Genitals Censor was scum, how could you not expect a food supplier to be scum as well?

PLEASE vote no-lynch. It only takes two.

farside, please please don't vote to lynch me. It will instantly end the game with a scum win.

THERE IS NO DOWNSIDE WHATSOEVER TO A NO-LYNCH. DGB has to be the scum at this point, so tomorrow will almost definitely be me vs. her, as she won't put herself against farside. Let's do it that way.

Also, look how DGB has been pretending how we have multiple lynch opportunities ahead of us.

Don't fall for it...
