Nuclear Missiles and how they work: a quick primer

This chart will detail the nuclear missile research program of each player of the mafia and town factions;




Each Stat is explained as follows:

Lethality

: The percentage chance a nuclear missile will kill its target on impact - at level 1, this is 30% probability. By level 8, this will reach over 100%.

Speed

: The time it takes your nuclear missile to land and hit the target, this is measured in hours from launch post.

MIRV

: Multiple Independent Rentry Vehicles; this upgrade allows you to fire at multiple targets with the same nuclear missile - the lethality will be reduced to a certain percentage - for example at level two MIRV and level 1 lethality, this will cause each MIRV to have a (40%)*(30%) = 12% chance of killing its target. You may not use MIRV to launch multiple MIRVs at the same player.

Weekly Production

: the number of nuclear missiles produced by the player every week. All production will finish at the same time, the maximum number of nuclear missiles you may have in storage is equal to your weekly production - you may not stockpile nuclear missiles.


Research works in the following manner: each week - each player may pm me two upgrades they wish to make, players may not research the same combination of upgrades in consecutive weeks - these upgrades will apply immediately. If you forget to send me research in the week, you will not research that week.

This game runs on a weekly schedule in that production all happens on the same day - on that day nuclear weapons will become available.

Game will be mountainous with nukes - players will be given the option to customize their nuclear arsenals in order to hunt down the mafia - democracy has been suspended and there will not be any voting or nightkills in this game - there are significant elements of RNG in the game.

The game thread will unlock when 17 players have confirmed or at 9/28 10PM EST - whichever comes first.

You are a Vanilla Townie instead of voting you have the glorious power of nuclear weapons.


As long as you have a nuclear missile available - you can nuke a player by posting

in the main thread.

nuclear missiles take a certain amount of time to travel to their target and can be cancelled at any time prior to impact by posting

abort

in the main thread quoting your launch order.

Additionally the following table describes the options for your nuclear weapons research program:



You may research two upgrades per week - but never the same two twice in a row.

You win the game when all threats to the town have been eliminated and at least one member of the town is alive.

Queen Meuh was very annoyed this morning. Yet again people were suspicious of her and launched another barrage of nuclear missiles in her direction. Honestly she didn't even get it - just because Marci kept bothering her about whether her newest outfit looked good or what the teacher said in class didn't mean she was like actually in cahoots with Marci.

Gamma Emerald strolled across her luxury yacht fuming that Chell had yet again decided she was a "deepwolf" the absolute nerve of that woman. She was about to rattle off an angry rant when she remembered her buddhist training from Master Kung Lao. She threw her phone into the ocean to prevent herself from getting too furious and decided to take a dip in one of the ship's hot tubs. Hopefully this nuking Titus thing would work out or something.

Titus sighed as she read the latest report from OSINT; yet another failure to explode. Who the hell was making nukes for the NWO? Were they taking the uranium and selling it on the black market or something? Sure the price had gone up ever since the breakout of nuclear war but Pooky had assured her the scientists on the payroll would be legit and totally not incompetent.

Taking another sip from her cabernet as she leaned back into her lounge chair, she saw the seconds tick down towards the latest missile impacts. Unbelievable the nerve of these people to keep firing on her day and night. They really did not appreciate her sense of humor.
