Did you alter your scum playstyle consciously in the first iteration of Community?

My scum playstyle will always be carried out consciously, in such a way that I think will look town to other players

My tentative townreads are NYM, Herta, Tweet, Flavia, Frogster, Titus, Meuh

Meuh is the read I've put the most thought into so far, because my initial impression that her posts were "trying too hard" in a scummy sort of way, but I've since changed my mind on that, and I think the more likely explanation is that Meuh is town.

NYM's progression on Meuh matched my own and the casual conversational pop-ins without seeming to be trying too hard to have READS has the sort of relaxed town vibe.

Herta's looseness feels different from last game, where they felt more stilted. 23 feels particularly carefree, where scum might worry that they may garner suspicion for looking like a tractor.

Tweet is not avoiding the game, which is generally positive.

Flavia is probably a miller, and the weirdness of the approach to the initial claim felt less thought through than I would expect from scum.

Frogster's focus on trying to find traitors signalling to each other seems like something that town-Frogster would focus on.

Titus feels like she is sinking her teeth into trying to work out what is going on in the game.

I don’t particularly think that Bell is town because on one hand Bell’s play indicates apathy towards the game, but then the desire to kill Flavia seems almost incongruent with that? Perhaps the most likely explanation is that the expressed desire to kill Flavia is somewhat exaggerated in the way that town do that sort of thing, but I will await further clarification on Bell’s role later in the game.

My thought process was very similar before I realized that Bell was a traitor, I feel like I should reconsider stuff now but at the same time, the people on the Bell wagon are pretty much all townier than the ones not on it so...

It was more that I thought the people on the wagon happened to be town rather than then being town specifically because of being on the wagon.

In some ways though, for people like PP, the enthusiasm of pushing the wagon through does seem more likely to be from town, where scum might be more afraid of looking bad for pushing the elim of a town PR.

Why do you think this btw? From your perspective couldn't there be some synergy in a mafia member and a traitor being able to communicate via radio without necessarily knowing that they're both mafia? Or are you scum trying to protect another operator, believing them to be a traitor?

You have yet to lead a kill on scum. Having good town reads and not getting eliminated is a good way to play if you're hoping to get carried to victory, and I'm probably not going to do that, so you should figure out who the scum are.

I will now go into the reasons why I think Meuh is government.

I am the other Operator (technically it's possible that there's more but I very much doubt that is the case) and so I feel I have some insight into what a reaction to Maria's claim would be from someone who knew about the existence of operators.
Not only that, but the government would have even more knowledge that Maria's claim was made up because of what Maria said about 3p in 505.

See, when Maria claimed, I was preeeetty sure that they were a scum operator making stuff up, but there was an outside chance that the other operator was somebody else and this was Maria just making something else up.

BUT the government role knows about the operator thing, and they would have known if there was also some lost mason thing that they could listen in on. So, because there is no lost mason thing and what Maria was posting sounded very similar to the operator role, the government player would have 99% known that this was Maria just making stuff up.

This is where Meuh comes in. 521 reads to me as Meuh knowing based on her role that Maria is scum, but the actual reasoning provided does not really stack up. It reads to me more as the government player knowing that Maria is scum, but not being able to be completely honest about the reasons why.

If anyone is interested in any other operator details I'm happy to divulge, but Maria had reason to believe that I might be the other operator (I semi- revealed myself in my night 1 radio message) and the claim was probably to try and claim masons with me on the off-chance I was another traitor, OR banking on me potentially being an unclaimed member of the hotel.

Meuh has also weirdly not expressed suspicion of me despite me being mostly a non-presence.

But yeah, I think it makes more sense to eliminate Meuh than furtive here.

Also why would I, if 3p, claim anything that has any sort of link with MariaR's claim (even if very indirect) when I'm actively being suspected of being 3p rather than staying quiet? It's not like the push for Maria needed more momentum (and would a 3p even want Maria dead considering her role is connected to theirs?)
